The room is ok, could do with a very good clean.  The bathroom is very cold and needs an overhaul, there is hot water though but it's so uninviting you don't feel like taking a bath or shower.  On the plus side it's very well located. Overpriced for what it is but on busy events like the Christmas Market there isn't a great deal of choice.  

Tired, could do with a good clean

Had a lovely’s stay here, we stayed in the bigger room of the two which was lovely and very spacious with a nice seating area with the tv, which had Netflix and catch up which was nice to chill out with.

It was literally about 200 metres from the Minster, with plenty of nice shops, pubs, restaurants and take aways all minutes away.

The accommodation was clean and tidy and the breakfast was great.

The owner was friendly and helpful.  I had a very nice stay here with my girlfriend and fully recommend it.

Overnight stay

I've stayed here before when I've been out with colleagues in Beverley, and this was my second trip this time with my wife. As others have pointed out this is above a curiosity shop, and the owner Andy only has a couple of rooms but is quite friendly and attentive.

The beds were comfy and the shower and facilities warm and reasonably clean. Breakfast was good, and no problems checking in or out.

For the price locally it's pretty decent, and not too far a walk to the centre of town. The only gotcha is that you need to park about 5-10 minutes away to escape the parking costs (outside the dreaded "Controlled Zone") but we are mobile and fine with that.

Nice little budget place for a night out in Beverley

Well, let us start with the good stuff.  The bathroom is okay, it has got a nautical theme, a nice oar with hooks for hanging towels on.  The location is great, very close to the shopping center, close to the railway station.  The bedding was clean.  It was cheap.

However, I once stayed in a B&B in which I found someone's boxer shorts on the floor of the shower.  I rate that place far higher than this.

The B&B is 'above an antique shop', no it isn't, it is above a junk shop.  The breakfast room (we didn't have breakfast) is just the owner's living room into which they had squeezed two tables.  Have you seen those television programs about hoarders, who have piles of newspapers all over the house, well, then you know what this place looks like.

The room was dirty, shockingly dirty.  There were areas of the room that would have been pretty much impossible to clean simply because there was so much stuff crammed in there.  A double bed and a single, when you get out of the double bed on the left-hand side, you can't stand on the floor, it is that tight, take the single bed out!

The floor had carpets, but these were covered (possibly to hide how dirty they were) with not one or two, but six industrial mats, which were covered in hair.  Ironically, the two places mats would have been needed, like, entering the room, or getting out of the shower, was mat free.

The shower was a cubicle, with a covered top, I'm just under six foot and I just squeezed in, anyone taller would have a major issue, and there was unsealed spotlights in the shower, not the best mixing water and electricity.

Although this truly was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed in, it was still beating the pants in the shower B&B, even with the one year out of date milk that was provided, until....

We went to the food festival, it was raining, so we got wet, we really didn't want to but, we had to go back to the room and change clothes.  We got back, and as the bedding was at least clean, laid on the bed (would have sat on one of the two chairs, but again, because of all the crap in the room you couldn't sit on the chair and have your feet on the floor, you sat in the chair with your feet on the bed), this is around noon.

Now, let me explain first, the room was on the first floor.

Imagine our surprise, when laid in bed, having taken off our wet clothes, to see the owner looking in through the bedroom window!  Now I'm sure the owner in his defense will say that it was perfectly innocent and he was just sweeping the roof, because yeah, thats a normal thing to do (He did indeed have a sweeping brush in hand and was, pretending, to sweep).  However, the difference between a genuine whooops moment, and something creepy, is that when he noticed we were aware of him there was no sorry, no getting away from the window, he just carried on.

Do not stay here.

Underpants in the shower

Nice small hotel Andy the host is very friendly and helpful comfortable room larger than average and good breakfast. Excellent position near to the minster and the new Flemingate centre. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby 

Pleasant stay 

If you like generic predictable hotel rooms then this is not the place for you.  If however you enjoy a slightly different experience this little guesthouse is most definitely worth a visit.  Access is through a small antiques emporium which leads to the dining area and stairs up to the two bedrooms.  The whole place is quirky and eclectic and full of interesting art work and antiques. 
Andy the host is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the local area and has great advice on things to do and places to eat.  Beverley Minster is quite literally on the doorstep and although parking in Beverley is not abundant there is a multi storey carpark just along the road with secure overnight parking so this is not a problem. 
Breakfast was lovely and the coffee excellent. 
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great little place in a superb location

Modern twist with decor to an old building doesn't quite work for the bedroom. The owner also dabbles in antiques and odd art so downstairs is a bit crazy - quirky is another way to put it.

The smaller twin bedroom is very cramped. Double and a single squished in to the room and only one wardrobe and a small drawer for any storage. Due to lack of floor room space for any bags, storage is at a premium - if you want to be able to get out the door too. No way to open a window. Almost no room between the two beds at all.My dog was utterly confused as to where to lie!

2 steps down into the main room and bathroom may not be ideal.

Good small fridge and tea/coffee selection but filling the kettle is v difficult due to the faucet type for the sink. Sink and water glasses were in need to a good clean.

Bedding was clean but floor / carpet was not. Towels need renewing but I was given an extra one on request.

I sorted my own breakfasts but they are charged as an extra anyway!

Centrally placed for easy access to the town but NO parking.

Could do better

I can honestly say I’ve never stayed any where as dirty in my life. Having estimated a check in between 3-4 we were shopping and stopped for a drink I recurved a phone call asking where we were and how long we would be .. a bit strange. This place is advertised as an antique/art centre ... no it is in fact a curiosity/junk shop with two rooms upstairs full of old mismatched furniture and ornaments mirrors etc which would be ok if they had been cleaned this side of the millennium! In the bathroom was a mouldy mat in the bath someone’s used plaster ... the fire exit is the bathroom window which opens like a door a sign says in case of fire wait here. We went down for breakfast the following morning .... you have to choose the night before and tell him ... we were sat in the back room of the shop surrounded by even more “stuff” to be fair the breakfast wasn’t that bad but I was the only one who could actually eat anything.... let this be a warning that 3 stars and reviewed as good isn’t always true

Horrific

Had 2 Nights b&b had a great time would recommend to anyone we had breakfast 2times was very nice very friendly and welcoming plenty of stuff do do in fleminggate day and night and lots of kid friendly pubs
