The staff could not have been more friendly if they were family we popped in for food dog allowed in bar area and all the locals came and made a fuss of my lab.
The food was very good for a pub good size portions and quick service and out standing value.
We will be returning on Sunday for the Sunday roast as my father who is 90 loved the people staff and food and the icing on the cake was the dog was with him.

The best dog friendly pub I have ever been to

Stayed at the New Inn for one night. We had been ferrying a new aircraft and had been forced to stay overnight due to bad weather. The Airfield owner arranged for us to stay, and Bob was extremely helpful. We were given two double rooms which were clean and comfortable. As we stayed on a Monday night there was nowhere nearby to have a meal. Customers in the bar offered various suggestions and one even offered to drive us to Hornsea. We eventually arranged to have Pizza delivered and we were welcome to have this in the Bar. In the morning Bob drove use back to the Airfield. Everyone was very friendly and I would certainly stay at the New Inn again.

Very hospitable with friendly locals 

We arrived here at 12-45 we were shown to a table ordered drinks looked at menu drinks arrived and we ordered. Sat for a while with my partner and did the usual we came in after them etc waited and waited one hour went by the girl who served us drinks came eventually and informed us they had lost our order shall I reorder it
Not happy but did reorder food came after a while which turned out to be very nice they gave us a free drink and big apologies we may try them again??

Sunday wait and wait

We stayed in Leven for a week and our friends came up from Hull, so we strolled down to the New Inn for a meal and a drink (or two !). The lady behind the bar was very friendly and helpful and our orders were taken promptly. Both the food and drinks were reasonably priced. The food was well cooked and tasty and none of us had any complaints. All in all a very enjoyable couple of hours were spent and we would recommend it.

Nice meal, pleasant surroundings.

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a friends birthday party which was also held here. Everyone very friendly, room lovely with all that you need food delicious will return in the future. Di ( Lancashire ) 

Weekend away

We booked Sunday lunch an Easter, we have friends who live locally and they had previously visited for coffee while it was being updated.  It has an old style clean looking feel with some excellent leather sofa's if you have to wait for a , it could get loud when its full as there are a lot of hard surfaces and the tables need more proper cleaning and less polishing (a common issue I spot with as I'm picky).
The service was friendly and the food in general was great with a couple of lovely locally made deserts.  My wife had the beef which was a little dry but I suspect them not being busy on the day accounted for that, shame they didn't opt to lose a couple of slices rather than serve meat dried by the hot lamp.
Saying that I would happily go again and see what its like when they're properly into the grove and busy.

Stylish and friendly pub, getting back to being busy after a refit

Called in for a pint with my mate. I know many people like to see sport on tv but most pubs have a quiet/ non sport bar or lounge, or at least a corner of a bar that is sport free. Not here!
I counted 3 TVs in the bar all radiating sport. We left.

Why cant they just have 1 TV with sport and a sport free corner for those who want to have a pint without a football rattle?
