This is an outstanding B&B .. A Victorian house full of features . Modern art work adorns the walls . Our bedroom was big and spacious, a very comfortable bed with lovely good linen . The bathroom was also big with lovely soaps etc from the white company . Breakfast was a feature . We will be back . Thank you for a very comfortable few days .

Costislost House is a luxury accommodation situated in beautiful countryside at the end of a private drive, a long way from the road. Perfectly situated to explore North Cornwall and further afield. Quiet and peaceful, the house itself is amazing, with very well-appointed large rooms, all tastefully decorated for the age of the house. The hosts, Simon and Jo, are friendly, warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Good choice of tasty breakfasts. Plentiful safe parking. Jo's complimentary shortbread is the best you will find anywhere!

Quiet. relaxing, luxury break

My wife and I stayed here Monday to Friday as a base to visit all Around Cornwall and we are so pleased we did!
The building and surrounding areas are lovely and although only 5 minutes outside Wadebridge there is complete silence and tranquility.
Simon and Jo were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was absolutely perfect and the room (the Woodcock) was so beautiful with everything you could need .
There is a real feel of staying in a private Stately home 
We cannot wait for our next visit!

The perfect break!

On the whole the experience was very comforting and above all relaxing. Simon was very welcoming even in the evening of guest arrival . The furniture and the bed were very comfortable and we were certainly were fast asleep almost immediately  when our head was on the soft pillows. We did like the cleanness of the bathrooms and the very large rooms that have the great window view that is a very nice sight as we awaken in the morning. The nice shortbread by the bedside is very thoughtful, with our own coffee maker in our room and selection of tea.
The breakfast was great and Simon was flexible and willing to change it a bit for the customer.  I would definitely recommend this retreat for people who need to get away and have some peace and quiet and relaxation, I wish I could of stayed there longer to get more of the  great quiet, peaceful, picturesque retreat.

Want a quiet getaway with peace, and relaxation

We enjoyed a super week staying here as we explored the North Cornwall coast for a recent staycation.

Pre-arrival information was really helpful and it was clear that our hosts had made every effort to prepare for arrivals, with a range of suitable and reassuring measures put in place to allow guests to feel completely at ease throughout their stay, whatever their level of concern.

It was great to be greeted on arrival, shown the house and our room by Simon, and we were very pleased with the spacious room and bathroom, with a generous king bed, always the heart of a relaxing holiday. The views or the gardens and countryside were delightful and helped cement the feeling of peace and tranquility that the location offers.

Breakfast each day was delicious, fresh and of a high quality, and set us up for all the activities and adventures on offer in the surrounding area. We enjoyed a walk along the Camel trail, finding it on a fun woodland pathway, to Wadebridge where we found all the local amenities, shops, restaurants etc that we could need. The location is very convenient for trips to Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac and other popular North Cornwall destinations.

Throughout our stay we were made to feel at home, with our hosts lighting a fire for us to enjoy in the sitting room, games to play and good humour and conversation too, which we welcomed, but also space to have to ourselves  as well.

Overall, it was a super spot, we would highly recommend, and with the owners' commitment to quality service will surely go from strength to strength.

Perfect for a relaxing stay

Set in stunning Cornish Countryside Costislost House was just perfect. The house itself was lovely inside and out and the rooms were really big with water, Nespresso machine, and homemade shortbread provided, which was a really nice touch. The bathroom had a big bath and a great shower. The view from our room was Beautiful and we couldn’t hear a thing apart from the bees buzzing and the birds singing outside. At Breakfast there was a vast selection of lovely local and homemade treats and was quite simply delicious, and plenty of it! Our host Simon was friendly and welcoming and made it very clear that if we needed anything to just ask. He made himself available without being intrusive which i really liked and appreciated. One evening we enjoyed drinks on the terrace then moved inside for a game of scrabble in front of the fire which Simon had lit for us, perfect! We will definitely be back!

Perfect Break!

Everything was amazing, we needed a holiday to get away from life stresses, and this was a perfect location, our hosts Nick and Jane, treat you like one of the family, the breakfasts are to die for, especially the vegan banana pancakes, we stayed for a week, the rooms are spacious and spotless, with home made biscuits to welcome you, the b & b is a grade 2 listed building with huge wooden doors, and lovely polished floors, fresh flowers are all around, and a lovely lurched who greets you like a long lost friend, we can’t wait to go back

Our week in Cornwall 

My husband and I had a lovely 3-night stay over the UK August bank holiday weekend in 2018. Nick provided us with lots of restaurant recommendations and things to do, especially on our one really rainy day - typical UK. ;) And Jane was a welcoming hostess with such delicious, healthy breakfasts such as her homemade granola. It was fun to chat a bit about our chef-ing experiences and our cookbook collections. 

Our room was at the top of the stairs to the right side overlooking the garden. We had a huge bathroom and a very comfy bed.  After sightseeing all day, we sat in the chairs looking out the garden window with afternoon teas or wine before we went to dinner. Or we sat outside under the awnings with a glass of wine. (Note: there is a community fridge upstairs where you can store wine or milk for tea.)

Nick and Jane truly have a wonderful, historic home and we can highly recommend it for a Cornwall stay.

Lovely stay in the countryside!

We absolututely loved it here!  We had a gorgeous, spacious and clean room with a beautiful bathroom. The view over the lawn was wonderful to wake up too and breakfast, although a bit expensive when you added everything up, was delicious. Outside of the village, so very quiet and surrounded by the English countryside, we loved every minute of it. We took trips to amongst others, Boscastle, Tintagel, and several beaches and had a wonderful trip.
