The most beautiful place we have ever been, close to all amenities, if you’re looking to explore north wales it’s a perfect location! The cottage was so comfy,clean and cosy with beautiful welcome gifts, the bed was super comfy and everything you need is in the cottage! Stunning location with Mountain View’s! We will definitely be returning! We loved it so much we managed to book an extra night!

What a great base to explore North Wales. Doesn’t matter what the weather is there is something to do and lots of suggestions in the cottage for you to discuss over a glass of fizz; kindly left for our arrival 🥰
Very clean, super well appointed and cosy and indulgent too.  Throughly recommend a stay here, much nicer than a hotel room and very reasonably priced!

First time Snowdon Walker!

Wow what a lovely home from home. We have just returned from a fabulous week at Maes Madog. Four adults and three children. Great cosy warm cottage with ample room for us all and everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome gifts much appreciated. Fantastic hot tub which we used each evening to chill and relax and a superb new BBQ area . The boys loved the pool table. We loved the location and had some great day trips , Llandudno, Bala lake, Snowdon, Llyn peninsula , Swallow falls and of course Betws-y- Coed...  there is a walk from the house to there but us Grandparents did find it a little steep and slippery in places and rather a trek coming back so probably would take the car next time but the kiddies loved it!
Lovely owner Jane is a phone call away to deal promptly with any queries or issues. We would dearly love to return one day. Such a peaceful idyllic location. Thankyou

So pleased we booked this one!

We stayed in the main farmhouse, which sleeps 8. Jane the owner is super friendly and helpful and we really appreciated the welcome goody package on arrival: a very thoughtful touch.
We were a family of myself, boys aged 15 and 18 and grandparents.
The accomodation is brilliant. Nice and spatious, especially the kitchen/diner. We loved having the pool table to play in the evening and the hot tub was amazing! Nothing better than coming back after a busy day and getting in it with a glass of something and some tunes playing! The hot tub takes the whole of the first day/night to heat, but after that it's great! The views are lovely and we saw lots of birds of prey from the garden. The land is a bit overgrown so we didn't do any walks on the property to the stream, but it was so peaceful.
It is a small, single track lane leading to the accomodation which I wasn't keen on driving, so ended up using a different lane which Jane told me about and was better, even though it took us a couple of mins longer.
The accomodation is extremely well located, very near to loads of activities and places to visit. We had a very busy week. Highly recommend: Zip World Fforest (5 mins down road), Betws-yCoed for walks/shops (5 mins away), Seren Ventures (in Betws-y-Coed) for activities (we did gorge scrambling), Portmeirion (40 mins), which is absolutely beautiful, Zip World Llechwood (35 mins): we did Caverns and Bounce Below which were awesome, Fairy Glen (5 mins away) which is beautiful and you can swim in the river/gorge there, and the Watkins pools on the path up Snowdon where you can swim in the freezing pools, but it gets mega busy in the hols so you have to get there really early.
We loved this holiday and accomodation so much that we have booked again for next year already, as there is still plenty more that we want to do in the area!

Outstanding accomodation, brilliant location. We've booked again!

We stayed at the cottages with our friends for a mid week stay. On arrival we found Prosecco  sweets and Welsh cakes waiting for us in the most charming cottage. The cottage is very well presented and spotless clean with everything you would need in the kitchen with the addition of towels t towels etc.We very much hope to visit again as the surroundings are fab.

5 day break

We hired two cottages and were not disappointed. They were beautiful, and had all the amenities we needed. It was a fabulous place to have a break and explore the area. We would certainly return again. The scenery and peacefulness of the area was delightful.

Perfect little getaway

If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful location to end the day after doing lots of touristy things, look no further. Off the beaten track, 2 miles from Betwys Y Coed, the farm offers excellent hard stand parking adjacent to the cottages, as well some occasional benches to use throughout your stay. Our cottage (for two) had an excellent kitchen area, comfy leather sofa, plus TV. The bedroom offered a kingsize bed , and a new well appointed shower room, and toilet. All in all, a comfortable and happy stay.

Unique and wonderful location!

we are a family of 4 plus dog, we stayed in LLugwy the dog friendly shepherd hut. We had totally private area with hot tub and gorgeous views .felt totally secluded ., was quiet and relaxed . The cabin itself was clean and well thought out with everything you would need . We will definitely return , we had such a lovely time here

Hidden gem

A family holiday and we had the big cottage in the end for a week. A lovely cosy cottage but probably made for up to 3 couples and two younger children, rather than 1 couple and four adults as the twin bedroom is very cosy...!
A lovely spacious cottage (apart from the twin bedroom!) which is out in the middle of nowhere! It can be quite confusing to get to initially, but it’s a very tight single track road up from the main road so you can’t really go anywhere else!
The cottage was clean (apart from a few stray moths in one of the lamps!) and nice a tidy. A lovely touch from the owners leaving a bottle of Prosecco and a tub of Heroes for us upon our arrival.
There’s a bbq in the garden area but this needs either replacing or a bit of Barry Scott’s special Cilit Bang! Some of the kitchen utensils need replacing like the can opener. Hot tub is lovely once it’s warmed up.. this takes a whole day.
It’s dead close to Betws-y-coed and to Llanrwst. The latter being a ten minute drive away and Betws-y-coed being literally at the bottom of the hill and round the corner. Very picturesque landscape and close to many attractions like the Forest Rollercoaster. Lovely cottage, would recommend.

Cosy Cottage

Slightly away from the main road in to Betws-y-coed in that you need a car, its a fair walk there and back, however dont let this put you off as its in a perfect location.  Nice and peaceful and relaxing.  The cottage was lovely and cosy.  IN the situation of Covid this year, felt perfectly happy on arrival with the cleanliness and a nice touch with the prosecco and chocolates.  We had a 2 bed cottage with 2 bathrooms which was a great size, especially for just the 2 of us, with a bench and bbq area to the side.  The bed was lovely and comfortable and had slept great.  We stayed for 4 nights for a midweek break.  The cottage is just a short drive to Pen Y Fan car park for exploring Snowdon and we travelled to Conway & Llandudno another day and Anglesey which again were all within an easy picturesque drive.  Wouldnt hesitate in recommending this place.
