Superb location with beautiful views on Snowdonia mountain range.  Value for money room, room with basic but very satisfactory comfort.  Friendly staff.  Well equipped and clean communal facilities such as kitchen and dining hall.  Animals on site were a real bonus.  The only downside was the behaviour of some guests who had no manners, were noisy, took over the whole kitchen without consideration for other guests, and guests not flushing the toilet.

Good value for money.   Comfy room. Friendly staff and superb scenery.  But some disrespectful guests.

Stayed for just a night with my daughter but wish we’d had longer! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped hostel in a nice setting. Lovely staff/owners (??). Can’t recommend enough and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Perfect hostel stay

This place ticked all the boxes and more. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped and spotless. We were met by a cheerful man who showed us what we needed to know. The village has a variety of take aways which we used one evening. We went to The Goat Inn which is about a 10 minute drive . Super pub grub, good service too, definitely worth a visit.
I was not anticipating a hostel in Wales to be a pleasant experience, however all four of us said we would return to the same accommodation 👍


Walk up Snowdon

Friendly helpful hosts, very well equipt kitchen, hotel is spotless clean, lovely en-suite bathroom, plenty of storage in bedroom, comfortable beds, very nice outdoor area and views, Grandaughter loved the alpacca's, sheep and chickens, very quiet locaton, defenatly recomend this place.

Lovely quiet hotel, suitable for all travellers including families or for a quite holiday.

Comfortable and restful stay

We have stayed for 4 nights at the end of October with our two children aged 4 and 8, it’s been the perfect introduction to hostel life for the children, and we have all had a lovely time. The hostel is spotlessly clean, with parking, towels, bedding, WiFi all provided. The guys that run the hostel are accommodating, welcoming and friendly, really nice people. It’s a lovely size with a good communal area, nice outside space, all very clean and well equipped. In a central location to lots of places, including Llanberis, and many other towns. The value for money, especially in half term week was fantastic. Highly recommended, thanks so much for having us!

Such a good find!

I’ve never stayed in a hostel before so had no idea what to expect, the staff were super friendly and and helped us to prepare for our snowdon walk the following day. It was clean the rooms had lots of space. Communal areas are functional even with people in them as it is large. Kitchen is big and has lots of room to cook alongside people. They also have livestock and offered us a bucket of food to feed the alpacas. The carpark is directly in front of your room so you can see the car from the window (this gave me a peace of mind) the views are amazing and for the price (cheap) I definitely didn’t expect to arrive to what I did. There are ours of local takeaway menues in reception so if your planning on eating before I wouldn’t bother. Will definitely return

Stayed here over the weekend. Really friendly and helpful staff, absolutely spotless throughout the hostel and the self catering kitchen had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again and totally recommend you stay here.

Supers hostel

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for a Snowdon climb and can honestly say it was a pleasure to stay here. The hostel is very clean and kept in pristine condition. He kitchen is gleaming and has every type of utensil you will need to make food and drinks. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathroom areas are always clean and well looked after you really wouldn’t know you were sharing facilities with Others. The communal room is nice, there are other people there for similar activities and a great place to meet people and strike up conversations, watch TV or sit and read. We will 100% be back to stay again for our next Snowdon adventure and would recommend this place to anyone who was looking for somewhere to stay while in this area.

Amazing base to stay for Snowdon adventure

I was looking for a camp site, but this was much better and at a bargain price. Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. 
It’s a clean comfortable quiet hostel with private rooms. Comfortable clean single room with wash basin and a balcony with an excellent view of yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). It was better than many hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The shared bathroom was just across the corridor, and again clean and well set out. 
The kitchen had everything you’d need and was spotless. If you don’t want to cook, there’s takeaways and a coop in Penygroes, about ten minutes drive. There was a large dining and lounge area. 
Best accessed by bike or car. There’s plenty of parking space. It’s convenient for the Rhyd Ddu and Snowdon ranger paths up Yr Wyddfa, and also for the beach at Dinas Dinlle and the historic town of Caernarfon. If it rains head west for Penllŷn or Anglesey
