I placed and paid for my booking and  informed them I had an assistance dog. The owner Kiki refused to allow me to stay as I had an assistance dog and was fully aware she was breaking the law and discriminating against my disability and didn’t care

We turned up as a walk in but were given a table no problem shown the specials board which we did pick from I had the mushroom soup which was delicious very tasty followed by the sea bass in lobster sauce with samphire this meal was out of this world not a thing wrong with it best fish meal I’ve had we will definitely be back when in the area just surprised it wasn’t busier thanks you to all the lovely staff

Perfect meal

My wife and I stayed at the Seal for 3 nights this September.  We had never been to Selsey and went because my wife’s mother grew up there.  We booked the Seal and really enjoyed it.  The room was very nice and the people were so helpful and friendly.  It’s a real local place with great food and a fantastic pub.  Everyone we met was great and we really enjoyed socializing at the pub.  I would highly recommend the Seal is you are staying in Selsey.  Loved every minute of it and would definitely go again.

Fantastic stay at the Seal

Had the most amazing starter and meal for my wife’s birthday for got to book another place where I was taking her but glad I did because we came here things happen for a reason the all the girls in the restaurant was amazing can’t fault anything about the evening food and staff 10/10

Absolutely amazing

Very nice rooms with drink making facilities, comfy beds and a very decent shower. Easy card access to the rooms from the side entrance, very polite and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent with decent portions, couldn't fault our stay.

The Seal - Giving Selsey a good name !

Absolutely superb food, Chicken & bacon pie, one of the best I've had. Others had Steak & ale pie & Chicken & bacon linguini, all said absolutely delicious.
Staff are excellent.
I also highly recommend the Potatoe & parsnip fritters for starters, yum, yum.

Birthday lunch

Brillant Sunday roast we all said it was excellent, lovely meat. Great big Yorkshires and delicious vegetables! Pudding was brillant too highly recommend the secret special. The waiting staff where so kind and caring too. The live music was very good. And the restaurant has a great buzz too it. We will return very soon.

Very pleasant two nights at The Seal. Room was very comfortable with spacious room and en suite. Extremely comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was delicious- both full English and granola with Greek yoghurt and compote.  Friendly,  helpful staff. Only disappointment was the kitchen was closed when we asked for food on the Sunday evening - we were too late. Thoroughly recommended.

Visit to friends

Popped here for an impromptu meal with my family. Food was fantastic and tasty, wide range of food on the menu. Restaurant was clean and cosy. Staff were really friendly we absolutely loved Will - he was so helpful and attentive. In fact we have rarely ever come across someone who was so genuinely lovely and attentive at a restaurant. Someone who takes pride in their work. A real credit to the business, we hope soon to return for another lovely meal with amazing service.

Fabulous food & welcoming staff

We mostly enjoyed our stay at The Seal for two nights. We stayed during the recent heat wave so that we could spend time at West Wittering beach and the nearby RSPB reserve. We booked their last available room and found out quickly why it had not been allocated - the air conditioning was broken. However the rooms are advertised as having air con. We felt very let down by what was either mismanagement or blatant greed when we were sold that room. Management knew the air con was broken (one of the staff told us so). Shame that this brought down an otherwise really pleasant stay. Agree with other reviews that mentioned great food (super local seafood) and great staff (so friendly and helpful).
