We stayed here as a group and had we not been in a group I would have walked out. 

The bed base was broken so it was like sleeping on a hill.  The covering to the divan base was torn so the wood was exposed. The cushion on the bed had brown stains on the back like old saliva The window frame was rotting and the windows were dirty. You couldn’t have the curtains open because the room was overlooked by a fire escape from the Indian restaurant next door which they used to stand on and smoke so they could look in. 

The passage between the hotel/bar and restaurant is a health hazard piled with old bottles, rubbish and food.

The best part of the room was the bathroom but even in there the toilet leaked. 

You have to vacate by 10 am and there’s staff in the bar to return keys but they can’t serve you a coffee or tea.  They’re missing a bit of revenue there.

All in all it has lost its shine since it opened. They need to invest into the rooms to get them back in good order. 

The best bit is it’s above a good pub and you can drink enough to not worry about the rooms. 

Tired and run down

I think it were an ok place to stay, you sort of get what you pay for here, only stayed one night, room was clean, quite old furniture though. The staff were very welcoming and polite. And the bar downstairs was very cheap. 

Only one thing decent about this place was the bed which was quite comfortable, the bathroom was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING sink was cracked, shower has never been cleaned in it's life, bedroom walls were marked and the tv was dusty plus couldn't change channels

Do Not Stay Here

Room was dirty - visible dust on surfaces, clump of hair in shower drain, sofa cushions and sofa stained, finger marks and stains to walls and light switches - décor tatty, towels provided were old and had holes in them. No obvious stains on bedding (but tbh we just decided not to look too closely at it...) Was shocked when a cleaner knocked on door on second morning and asked us if we wanted room cleaning that morning - very much doubt it had been done before we arrived! (Even tho the hoover was sat on the staircase outside the room with the bales of dirty laundry too...) 
Very noisy even midweek - Tuesday night not too bad, downstairs bar shut at 11 ish, but the market starts early morning Wednesday right outside the hotel and then Wednesday night the nightclub across the road is open and noisy til the very early hours - even when that closes there are multiple takeaways close by for all the revellers to stagger into shouting and screaming.
Would not return - despite it being cheap - and would not recommend.

You get what you pay for...

My nan and I stayed at this hotel for a week. Unfortunately we didn't read the reviews beforehand, most of them were negative, but it was a pleasant surprise when we arrived here. Also, just to point out, the staff helped us carry our suitcases up to the room, which was very kind. Unlike what most of the reviews say, our hotel was well furnished, clean and comfy. The bar and restaurant downstairs is very nice, the food is brilliant. I would recommend it, good quality food for good value. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to customer service. Would definitely come again 10/10 👍👍
