The most amazing B&B my husband and I have ever stayed in. Unforgettable in the best sense of the word.

Beautifully situated and with a really interesting and quirky interior on 4 floors (I think!).  Very spacious - and homely. 

Alan and Yvonne were the perfect hosts - not forgetting Dot, their springer spaniel! 

We were given a front door key for the duration of our stay which was nice. 

Breakfast at the B&B was something to look forward to every morning. Yvonne’s cooked breakfasts are the best I’ve ever tasted.  Cooked fresh and to order. I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs one morning which was delicious. My husband stuck with the full English breakfast every day. I had the fresh fruit salad most mornings ; cherries, apricots, strawberries, banana, blueberries and oranges).  Everything was thoughtfully laid out. Yoghurt for the fruit salad if you want it, plus tea, coffee and fruit juice. The bread (sourdough) is beautiful and makes for lovely toast! . Lovely quirky teapots too! 

Our room was on the top floor and was spotlessly clean. The room had lovely old beams, floorboards and pretty little leaded windows. The bed was incredibly comfy.
Gorgeous-smelling shampoo, body wash and hand soap in the bathroom ; Faith in Nature range, which I would never have thought of trying but I bought some from the local health shop before going home. 
Also bought a couple of the sourdough loaves locally (Reeve’s bakery) to take home. 
Felt really sad to be leaving today and will 100% be back next year, if not before.

A great three nights staying at the Old Mill. Extremely comfy and large room that included a big spotless bathroom. Allan & Yvonne are excellent friendly hosts and will do anything possible to make your stay the best it can be. Fantastic and large! breakfast cooked to your choice each day. Lots of interesting local places to visit including Bradford on Avon, Lacock, Avebury and Cherwill Down. Excellent local friendly Pub (the Well at Bulkington) serving good food. Would definitely stay again. 

Lovely country Mill B & B

Friendly welcome with an excellent breakfast and a most remarkably comfortable bed. Huge room. Most interesting Building and the Ducks in the stream were entertaining and not too noisy

Wow, what a room, it was very clean and bright, overlooking the river. Lovely cooked breakfast to order.  Hosts were very welcoming. Fantastic art and mirrors. A quiet and relaxing location. Would highly recommend

Weekend away

What a treat to be staying in Allan & Yvonne`s wonderful Old Mill. Exstremely cosy with wonderful and huge rooms that included the most spotless bathroom I have ever experienced in a B&B. Then add a super serviceminded hostcouple that will do anything to make you comfortable and you have a true winner. This was our second stay on a 5 day business trip to the UK and though the other hotels included 2 Hilton`s, nothing compared to The Old Mill and the warm and personal service provided by Allan & Yvonne. Fantastic breakfirst cooked to your personal needs and a dinner at the Three Daggers 5 min away. Perfect in every way and highly recommended.

Two words...absolutely brilliant

Easy to find, using postcode, Satnav takes you to the front door. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful and the accommodation is much larger than you would expect from a bed and breakfast. The mill, including our guest room on the top floor is very tastefully decorated with bright colours. All facilities such as the radio and bathroom fittings are of high quality and everywhere is very clean. Yvonne provides an excellent breakfast, very comprehensive and with nothing being too much trouble. To set expectations, be aware this is a B&B not a hotel and the lack of TV and front door key marks the difference. This is an excellent establishment for a short stop over and you will enjoy the experience of staying in a unique environment.

Charming, spacious and tasteful accomodation

Yvonne and Alan could not have made us more welcome. 

The old mill is beautifully restored. The bedroom was immaculately clean, spacious and the views were just amazing. 

Breakfast was very tasty and portions were a good size too. 

We visited Longleat for the day and Yvonne was happy to accommodate an early breakfast.

She also sells handmade jewellery. Be sure to have a look! 

We will be back.



Beautiful, tranquil gem of a B&B. Treat yourself

We spent a nice evening here. It's a little out of the way but there are some nice walks nearby in the market town of Devizes. The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, tea making equipment and en suite bathroom. 
Wifi was available but very sporadic. We found a lovely pub nearby that served a decent meal at a reasonable price.
There was no tv in the room but we did have a radio to listen to.
Breakfast at the old mill was in the family dining area. We were served tea and coffee, M&S yummy yoghurts with fresh fruit salad, a choice of full English or scrambled eggs and salmon, followed by toast or croissants with jams and marmalade. 
We slept well, fell asleep listening to the river water running by outside the mill.
