Stayed here because I was in town for a small arts conference. So happy to have stayed in such a comfortable place. The people who own the property are very friendly and down to earth, and leave you well enough alone after showing you the amenities. Really lovely backyard area but I couldn’t tell if we were able to get out there or not. I would stay again.

Lovely place

Lovely accommodation! Our hosts were very welcoming and took the time to tell about the village and make recommendations. The room was lovely, a bedroom with refurbished bathroom and a separate seating room with fridge, toaster etc. We had the option to use cereals and have a glass of juice.

Cannot say enough for my hosts here. I was made to feel very welcome and offered plenty of advice and help as someone relocating to the area. 

Lovely warm home clean and welcoming. Everything you could want in a guest house with lots of other little touches (the mini muffins in the room were a life saver after a long drive)

Excellent hosts 

Arrived after a very exhausting day Angela greeted us as if we was family she was so welcoming. The twin room with ensuite was perfect the beds were so comfortable and beautifully dressed. Everything is in the room that you would need. Tea and coffee hot chocolate herb teabags, hairdryer, chargers, tv biscuits, muffins. Water. Bathrobe, slippers. Lovely shower and lots of toiletries. Beautiful garden area. Had a very tasty filling full english, cereals, fruit, fruit juices loads of tea. Bread. Edmund took us to a location game of thrones was filmed as he knew my daughter would be interested in doing that then took us winterfell castle ward for our of game of thrones he wouldnt take any money for fuel even though he had a 14 mile journey. Thank you Edmund. This is by far the best bed and breakfast i have ever stayed in. If i am ever in the area again i would definately stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Perfect hosts beautiful accommodation a real gem.

Stayed here as a pitstop before heading to Castle Ward for the Game of Thrones Experience. Upon check in the owner was super friendly, made sure we had everything needed and left us to relax which was lovely after a long day. The room had absolutely everything you could ever need including a large option of hot drinks and even little homely touches of biscuits and muffins. The bathroom was very clean, lovely warm shower and toiletries (everything you need).. Bed comfy and quiet as well so we got a well needed rest. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The owners were so friendly and even took us to Castle ward in the morning and stopped by the river for me to see a Game of Thrones filming sight as they know I liked it. Thank you so much to the owners for such a lovely stay. 

Excellent B&B with friendly owners. 

Are usually don't go for Bed & Breakfasts because I like  to have my own bathroom. I picked Number Nine because it offered this feature.  The room (and bathroom) was lovely, spotless, and had all the amenities that one could wish for- tea, coffee, a mini fridge, etc.  There were a selection of food stuff for breakfast and a meal to keep you going all day. 

Angela the host (I didn't meet her husband) was gracious and kind, but also helpful with recommending a place for dinner, and attractions. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

A wonderful place to stay

Everything was perfect, the lovely and large room, the huge bed, the largest bathroom on our route around the country, Angela and Edmund took care of every detail to make you feel great at home, they were very kind and attentive, they helped us in everything and offered us an authentic Irish breakfast, undoubtedly the best option to visit Downpatrick and the surrounding area.

The best place and the best hosts.

We arrived for a 50th Birthday at Denvirs. Wonderful hospitality, huge shower, huge continental and fried breakfast that was perfect. Wonderful hosts that were attentive and not intrusive. Very spacious dormer bungalow and have a private and welcoming gardening. I need to find an excuse to return. felt restful and at peace from this stay. Brilliant.

Number Nine Bed and Breakfast

We were doing a driving tour of Ireland and NI for 2 weeks and my husband and I were mostly camping to save money. However on the day we got to Downpatrick it was blowing a gale and raining and we just didn't fancy trying to put up a tent in the weather.
We booked Number Nine very last minute and we are SO glad we did. It's by far our favourite place, mostly down to the owners who were just so kind and helpful. Which other BnB owner would offer to drive you into town for food so you wouldn't have to walk in the rain or pay for parking? Who else would not just cook you breakfast for no extra charge, but also wait on you hand and foot while you eat and offer up some great conversation? Well these guys did. 
Not only that but the rooms themselves are really lovely, with bathrobes and slippers included alongside the standard teas and coffees. There were also some taste muffins ready for us which was a nice touch. The room also had a hairdryer, loads of closet space and a ton of different shower gels and shampoos to choose from. And the comfiest beds we came across!
The bathroom, although shared with one other room, was immaculate and the shower was by far the best we had on the trip. 
 In terms of location it is perfectly situated if you are exploring Downpatrick, but also if you are going a little further our to Castle Ward (Winterfell!) or Castlewellan Forest Park as we were.
I can't recommend this lovely home and its wonderful hosts enough. Perfect.

Best BnB in Ireland

The hosts are a married couple with a large house in a residential area. The reception was warm and we immediately felt welcomed. Angela and Edmond are very child-loving (have children and grandchildren themselves). The breakfast was very rich and lavish. A clear recommendation.
