A great place to stay with friendly staff. It's easy to get to and has easy connections into central Manchester. The room was clean and tidy and had everything you would expect. It has local facilities near by like places to eat and is near the tram station.

Nice place to stay

Prompt and friendly welcome at reception. 
Got to room, and found it clean and tidy - some furniture could benefit from update, but I understand there is a renovation programme going on.
Shower room was good, with convenient grab rail, but shower cubicle could benefit from anti-slip mat.
As with other Travelodge, there is no eatery, but there are vending machines in foyer, and it is located next door to Sheldon Arms, with a good bar, food and carvery.
The hotel is well located, next to major roads and Metrolink, with a spacious car park, but sound insulation was very good and we didn't hear any external sounds.
They offer boxed breakfasts, but by spending slightly more, I would recommend nipping next door to the Sheldon Arms for a well priced and very well stocked breakfast carvery, with a friendly welcome.

Good location - clean and reliable

Due to a fire at home I was given accommodation with my dog "pedro" since 04.01 24.  All staff are welcoming, Pedro would want me to say especially "Jonathan".  Rooms are clean, lovely pillows, plenty of tea/coffee,  room is lovely and warm, comfy bed and nice thick towels. Plenty of hangers and shelving.  Although no restaurant serving a hot breakfast there is a breakfast box, handy if youve got early start and can take it with you. There are many eateries, in walking distance, a great pub carvery I would also recommend.  Location is great for motorway networks, local transport into Manchester centre is about 5 miles away.  On site parking, only thing I would say about that are quite narrow space markings, but it is free.

Perfect location, clean and welcoming.

I stayed here because it is the closest hotel to the places I had to visit whilst in the area.  My room was missing a chair, had a recently-squashed toffee on the carper and a knackered soap dispenser in the bathroom.  Staff were rude and unhelpful.

Awful Experience

Place is full of kids running around, social workers visiting clients and several dogs, one was allowed to urinate right outside the main doors. Felt like a visit to some kind of detention centre rather than a hotel.

Going down hill fast

Nice clean room and bathroom, lovely and quiet with a pub that serves food within walking distance. For me the bed was too firm but that's a personal choice, my husband found his comfortable. Would book here again.

£113 to be kept awake by trams and traffic. Seriously the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The tramline was so close to the hotel I could’ve Hi5’d the passengers on the way past it was so loud it was like the trams were running through the room.
The room was so unbearably warm you had no choice but to sleep with the windows open so you couldn’t dull the traffic noise

The staff didn’t care when I raised my complaint it was just brushed off.
If you’re planning a trip there and expect to sleep I’d book elsewhere 

I wouldn’t stay there again if it was free 

For the price they charge with no on-site amenities it’s disgusting 

Especially when you consider I stayed in a 3 star Marriott hotel recently on a Saturday night that cost £122 and that included breakfast

Never Again

The Staff are happy & helpful. The hotel was fabulously clean everywhere.
Due to location getting out & about was easy too with a tram stop just down the road. Great pub next door too for both breakfast & evening meals. 

Great place to stay

Stay here all the time as have friends in the area, but on this stay the room was looking tired with a dodgy bathroom door and light , curtains not the same length cigaretts burn in the net curtain, scuff marks on walls. I think the rooms could do with some colour and the bathrooms do away with the baths. But location wise it's ideal with metro just up the road.

Wkend away

Having checked in on Sunday 27th  I left to visit friends.. upon returning to my room, I found I couldn't gain entry. Someone then shouted from inside the room I had checked into earlier, " wrong  room,  go away"...!
 some thing may have occurred and I had been removed from my room whilst out !

To find this out at 2:00 clock in the morning after a long day, was not amusing at all.
The situation could have turned ugly if the people occupying the room were not understanding and patient.
As we were both confused and I had just woken them up.
The replacement room smelled of something awful, windows let in light in the morning so couldn't sleep. 
Appalling abysmal absolutely awful incompetent and very untrustworthy service .
The night receptionist was helpful respectful and apologetic however the guy working during the day of 27th August, who handled my check in left a lot be desired in terms of a lack of courtesy, ( kept calling me mate) competence and professionalism.
A terrible, exasperating and embarrassing experience at Travelodge .
