Big shoutout to the 2 people on reception, didn’t catch their names but one a young guy and another dark haired lady. Great welcome upon arrival to the hotel, great credit! Rooms slightly dated but I’m sure I’m not the only one who is hoping for a refurbishment to the hotel (all staff and guests I assume).

Stay

Room was exactly what I expect from a premier inn and was incredibly comfortable.

I would love to make a special mention about a staff member called Chelsey. She made our stay absolutely brilliant. Cheerful and incredibly helpful during our time there and just an all round fantastic representative of your company. A wee star so she was !

Staff made the stay!

So the room was clean and everything was well presented. The bed was uncomfortable and hard and also pillows. Staff were informative on surroundings. Bed was the only thing that let my stay here down. Unlimited Breakfast was amazing and goo

Hard Beds but a good hotel.

Where do I start been staying at premier inn for the last 5 weeks and to be honest the service has to be by far the best yet bearing in mind I stay at premier inns min 6 months a year for business purposes, the team members jack ,Leanne and Chelsey they can’t do enough for me, outstanding service there is another team member apologises I can’t remember his name. He know who he is lol.The hotel is well maintained very clean I’m actually can’t find no faults with this hotel  or the staff all I can say is thanks for making my stay that extra bit special

Awesome

Great stay with the Premier Inn, as always the bed was so comfy, the room was clean and in an excellent location. The one thing that really stood out was the staff. We were welcomed by Chelsea who was so nice and friendly, honestly couldn't do enough, even offered to help me to my room when my hands were full. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and always said hello. Thank you for a fab stay.

Chelsea is a Star!

Have used premier inns for years, this one not the best. Hotel facilities are still good,shower bed etc but seems like they are now cutting costs. The noise from outside interrupts your sleep, the Wi-Fi is crap like 1990’s buffering all the time just to load the news( but you are sold for an extra £5 you can upgrade) used hot spot on my phone. But the biggest disappointment was Beefeater. The meal deals always used to be good not now. They charge you extra if you want steak, mixed grill etc. I had a burger and it was the size of a happy meal! I didn’t have any alcohol but still got charged extra for a pint of orange juice and lemonade!
Always used to be good value no nonsense book everything know exactly what you are getting. Not now…..be warned.

Cost of living

The restaurant was a disappointment.
I chose this hotel for a location and paid in the region of 140 pounds for a room and a meal deal. Not exactly fine dining experience with shabby decor, sticky tables.

Stay at Premier Inn Dunfermline

Booked and paid a reasonable price for the room. Online it shows nicely updated modern rooms but when we arrived we were put in an old room that mustn’t have been upgraded since the hotel had been open. Wouldn’t have minded but how can you possibly charge me the same for these rooms!? When I questioned reception they said next time call in advance to get a nice room? 

Terrible old smelly room

Premier Inn is as you'd expect. Cheap and cheerful, though not that cheap. Breakfast was across the way at the restuarant obviously connected to Premier Inn. Room was good, breakfast ok. It was a stopover for us.

Ok for a Premier Inn

Paid the sum of around £500 for 3 nights stay, checked the reviews as I always do prior to booking and found that majority checked out. What I didn't realise is that although they show the new "refurbished" premier inn rooms on the website, half of the hotel is in fact NOT refurbished and in a very neglected state, requiring a lot of work.

Carpets were dirty, bathroom was dropping to bits with black marks in parts of the sealant and grout. Sink tap was nigh on unusable as if you turned it on any more than an inch it would spray everywhere. Lights flickering both in the bedroom and bathroom, at times no light at all in the bathroom.

Desk chair provided was on it's last legs and felt like it was going to collapse if you sat on it.

What is also not immediately obvious when booking is the fact that it's right next to a McDonalds that is open late, and the deliveroo/uber eats drivers use the Premier Inn car park, often making tons of racket in the dead of night with exhausts and generally rattly cars.

If it was the usual £80 a night you find at most hotels, then fine. But for double that, not so much fine... Felt more like I was paying to stay in a cell.
