Our second year at the Bridge Hotel for a truly fantastic Christmas Day lunch . 
The quality of the food was exceptional & was equally matched with exceptional service . 
The custom made Christmas decorations have created a unique, welcoming , Christmas ambience . 
Wayne , the Landlord & his team are faultless & the whole experience I believe is unbeatable, hearty congratulations to Wayne & his team for delivering excellence at every level .

Amazing service and very high quality home cooked food.  Starters were really good portion sizes I could have had mine for a main. The mains were amazing. Had to take what I left home as I was getting quite full. Portions sizes are really good. I will be visiting again and have already recommended the food to others. 

Excellent service and food was amazing.

Third time we have stayed at The Bridge Hotel and each time has been excellent. Bright clean rooms in a very quiet area of Durham, always guaranteed a great night's sleep. We ate in the restaurant before heading out to see The Who and the food was amazing, as was the service despite being incredibly busy. Breakfast was included in the price and it was quite possibly the best cooked breakfast I have ever had in a hotel - top quality produce and cooked to perfection. The staff were so attentive and friendly, especially Nathan who checked us in and looked after us superbly. I can't recommend The Bridge highly enough and we looking forward to staying with you again when we next visit Durham.

Excellent hotel!

The Bridge Hotel is ideally situated, being located close to the city's railway station. In under 5 minutes you can reach the city centre and main bus stops. The staff were welcoming and helpful and our room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent, home cooked fayre and a very decent cooked breakfast was included in the room price.

Great staff, location and food

Called in for a drink while waiting for our takeaway nearby, always a busy pub but good service, the food being served looked fab & the staff kept busy, unfortunately we’d already ordered our Indian takeaway otherwise we may have been tempted, one day soon!

What an amazing find this place was!
This place is the most amazing location to check out Durham. The pub downstairs is the ideal venue to start and/or end your evening.
All the staff were lovely and the breakfasts were cracking!
Really clean and comfy bed.
For us, this was perfect. So much so, I have recommended this to a larger group of my friends (couples) as a place we all come for day out in Durham.

I would say, if you are the type of person that runs your hand over every surface in the room looking for a bit of dust, or spend lots of hours in the room expecting a cinema size tv..... This is not for you my friend. Pay 3 times the price and book elsewhere.

We had an amazing stay, great beer and food and thank all the staff for this. We will be back.

Great find and value for money 

Had a great lunch here recently after a recommendation from a friend. 
Good menu, loads of choice. 
Corned beef pie was really good as was the lasagne. Great chips!!
Didn’t really need dessert but couldn’t resist. Huge hot chocolate fudge cake. V scrummy. Delicious cheesecake too. All served by a delightful team who were friendly and efficient. We will definitely return.

Ideally located for all amenities and bars. Parking is available locally in the surrounding streets which is payable at the street meters.
The room was basic but clean (could do with updating) but no issues found. Access to the hotel after closing hours is via the fire escape at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price and was more than adequate…hot and freshly cooked. All in all I’d recommend this place as a good place to stay if you are wanting a night out in Durham

Ideal for all amenities & bars

Great traditional pub with excellent service. Warm and welcoming as soon as you enter. Dog friendly with treats and water offered. Table service on a tab was unusual but very much appreciated. Our 2nd visit we had Sunday lunch which was lovely. Nice beer, nice food, nice staff. Well worth a visit.

Best Sunday dinner I’ve had in a pub for a long time. We’ll cooked beef. Lovely light Yorkshires. Plenty of veg n gravy. Just great. Friendly staff too. Came to watch the match. Good atmosphere. Guinness ok but prefer traditional glasses instead of tall vase style. Will be back.
