Michael and Jill have now sold Boyne House and it is no longer in use as a guest house. This is a great loss to the area, and to Eastbourne generally, because as a massive fan of the area, Boyne House represents the very best of the Eastbourne hospitality trade. In a town where every other property is a guest house of one type or another, it requires something special  to make one stand out, and that is precisely what Michael and Jill did, by taking on and building on an existing business, taking it to the next level. They achieved this by their genuine and hard-working personalities, always discreet and unobtrusive, but always at hand to help in a way which went above and beyond what you could reasonably be entitled to expect. Impeccable breakfasts with a massive choice range, beautifully appointed rooms with quality beds and general furniture, such as kiln-dried pine pieces, immaculate cleanliness, and sensible neutral colour schemes, all help to elevate this  guest house to the very top of the tree. All you needed to type into a browswer were words like " good value B&B accomodation" and immediately BH came out first, thus proving the old adage that cream rises to the top, something which applies to any walk of life I am sure I am speaking for the one thousand plus people who have left reviews across this site, Lastminute.com, Trivago, Booking.com, and the many others when I say to Michael and Jill, thanks so much for everything, for providing all those treats to the eyes, tastebuds and bodies which every guest got to enjoy at BH, and here's wishing you all the very best on behalf of everyone in all your future endeavours! Sad News To Report

Enjoyed a wonderful 1 night stay here earlier this week. We were warmly welcomed by Michael who explained clearly the covid safe measures which were in place. Our room was spacious & contained everything we needed with a hospitality tray full of teas, coffees & biscuits. In addition there was a mint chocolate for each of us - which was an added special touch! The bathroom contained a selection of free toiletries and was immaculate. Our breakfast the following morning which was cooked & served by Jill was delicious & bountiful. We certainly needed a walk along the seafront afterwards!! We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Eastbourne. 

Overnight stay

We had an amazing stay earlier this month. Fantastic service with social distancing in place, clean room with a comfortable bed, mouth-watering breakfast! Great value for money, highly recommend Boyne House and we will be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience :)

...whatever the reason for your visit to the Eastbourne area! Assured of a warm welcome, the restful, peaceful ambience, not to mention the outstanding breakfast, will leave you feeling refreshed and energised for whatever it is you get up to while staying there. The charming owners are extremely COVID-aware, including revised spacing in the breakfast room, even down to the revised sideboard buffet spacings, and nothing is too much trouble for them as they strive to ensure all their guests have a wonderful stay. I have had four such stays, and am looking forward to the fifth.

Make Boyne House your base ......

Stayed here for a night for our anniversary. They was very welcoming. The place was very clean and the room was decorated lovely. Our room also had a hair dryer abd a akarm clock. Its the little touches that set it aside from other places ive stayed in.  The breakfast was fantastic. All in all a 5 star stay.   

Very welcoming

We stayed for 2 nights here while in the area. The owners were really happy to help. We arrived earlier than the book in time, and went to enquire about parking our car. We were told the room was ready and we could go in straight away. They took our bag in for us while we went to find a place on the road for the car. There was a slip to fill in for breakfast. We got everything we asked for, and all was cooked perfectly. We will definitely try to stop here again if in the area. 

Fantastic place to stay 

There were three in our party, booked two room which were very spacious and clean with hand sanitiser provided in the rooms.  Every precaution was taken to ensure we were comfortable and safe during our two night stay.   A lovely breakfast was severed in the dinning room with proper social distancing in place, continental or full cooked breakfast were available and our hosts Jill and Michael were wonderful.  Perfect location a short walk to the sea front and the centre where there are many good restaurants and shops.  Would definitely visit again.

Lovely to find a place that actually lives up to it's reviews

Had another lovely stay at this b&b.  The room was absolutely spotless.  It's a great location, the rooms are well equipped, safety measures have been taken re. COVID19 with a lovely breakfast delivered to the room. There was hand sanitiser in the lobby and in our room. The owners are always very welcoming and helpful. Will be back again in August and looking forward to it already!  Thank you!

Every precaution has been taken to ensure a comfortable and safe stay. The owners have shared their mobile number so texts can be sent if the guests need anything.
The room is clean and bright, and hand sanitiser has been provided. A continental breakfast is delivered to the room in the morning to maintain social distancing.
Location is perfect, 30 seconds walk to the sea front and parking is available on the street outside,

Lovely family run guesthouse

Everything, i spend 1 night and was good. We arrived late for our check in and the man stayed longer  waiting for us and he recived us with a smile and friendly maner. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable and i never saw a carpet more clean than that one 🤣 in a hotel. I loved the bathroom, looks new. Next day in the morning we had at our door a basket with our continental breakfast 😊 (distance rules-covid). At the check out, we thought, we havent gonna see noone but a nice lady came from the kitchen to give us the good morning and whishing us a nice day😊. The location is perfect, 5 min from the beach and pier. Easy to park you car outside. I recoment this place and I'm sure if i come back to Eastbourne, I will come back here. Thank you to both of you, you are doing a great job 😊
