Lovely place for a safe feel and quick stay. Beds not the most comfy and heating on full, not good for the environment or the bills- or the traveller. However I have stayed a few times and was very welcome here. Good prices and nice little breakfast and cuppa in the morning. VERY FRIENDLY THANK YOU

Good quick stay

shared bathroom - i knew that - however a trickle of boiling water or icey cold water. the breakfast is a choice of cereals self service. the bed was uncomfortable and noisy. the room is very basic and small. The carpark very tight. the only positive for me was the short distance to the airport.

Good for early flight Stanstrd

We slept here in a four-bedroom in 3 people... Just a support because we had the plane in the morning very soon! Dignity room is very big with a huge bathroom... and with the BIDÈ!!! we couldn't believe it! Very kind owner left us the kitchen open x breakfast (very basic!) before the scheduled time Because at 4.15 we already had the taxi x L airport! Comfortable for the night before departure but around NULL!

The night before departure

We had two rooms. One downstairs double and single bed, large room and en suite. Very comfortable. One small double room upstairs, shared bathroom. Rooms basic but comfortable though upstairs room very small. Self service continental breakfast, tea coffee available in downstairs kitchen as needed. No facilities in room. Spotlessly clean throughout. Only issue was showers only dribbled out water so hair washing a nightmare. All in all a good stop over but only for a night or as many use for airport run stop over. 

Two night stay

This place is handy for a quick stay, before going home. This old french style house, is old. Beds not great, and very hot. The help yourself breakfast was very limited.
The place was quiet though.
Friendly owners, placed in a housing estate.

Handy for airport

We stayed one night in a wooden chalet in the back garden which was the family room. Comfortable accommodation overall but disappointed with the bedding. Bed sheets very thin and no duvets but woollen blanket and counter pane. No mattress protector and by the morning I was laying on the bare mattress as the bottom sheet was too small.
Went to make a cup of coffee in the morning and all the mugs had chips around the rims making them unsuitable to drink out of. 
The whole chalet needs a face lift as it could be a lovely place.

A one night stay

Stayed here for ab overnight stay, as we watched a concert up the road.
The lady who greeted us at checkin was lovely.
Yes the rooms are basic, however very comfy.
It was the first time we stayed in a shared bathroom property, however we had no issues.
The property was clean and you helped yourselves to the kitchen ...tea coffee and cakes on arrival. Breakfast is continental but still very good.
Definitely would stay there again.

It is about a 10 minute drive to Stansted airport from what I can gather.


Short stay

I stayed for two nights in a single room. The room had no mirror or bedside table, therefore nowhere for a bedside light or place for an alarm clock etc. There was just one thin towel, smaller than a bath towel. In the bathroom there was no plug for the sink and the cold tap was inoperative. The whole place needs a facelift as it is becoming very shabby. I suppose it would just about suffice for a late arrival and early rise for the airport, but not somewhere to stay any longer. For the price it would be much better to use one of the national chain of motels situated nearby. This was a totally bad experience, never to be repeated.

A very poor choice

This hotel which is 10 minutes from London Stansted Airport is very good the rooms are clean and heated, the reception is very good, the concierge spoke English, French, and Italian, she was smiling and kind, hotel ready to take-off adapters... I recommend this hotel.

All right, all right.

The cottage is very old. The floor is crinkly. Electrical dampers are not attached well to the wall. Bathroom drain is very slow and shower doors are unstable. Breakfast is a do it yourself. It's a pity that the milk in the fridge was already open and who knows how long!!!!! Just like in the fridge there were some slices of cheese and ham. Clearly there were no ovens and washing machines but there was a microwave oven inside that was rusty and a boiler. and to eat pancakes stuffed with brushed water.
