The staff especially Rowena were so helpful and accommodating, we were attending a funeral nearby and she went over and above when I called directly as was showing as not available on other booking websites, she went online whilst I was on the phone release the room to ensure we had somewhere to stay and ensure we didn’t have any extra stress on an already stressful situation, the consideration she showed was so appreciated, as we didn’t arrive til late due to a traffic but nothing was a problem, the breakfast was cooked to order and included, we actually said that we would definitely come back and stay in different circumstances as was a shame it was such a fleeting visit,

Room - modern and has everything you need
Bathroom - clean and shower powerful 
I can’t fault this place and for the money per night it’s a steal..!

Went over and above to accommodate

This was our second visit to The Lighthouse and we received a lovely welcome from Rowena upon our arrival. Our room was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our break. The poor weather meant we couldn’t enjoy the grounds.

Lovely mum and daughter break

The rooms are very cozy with very farmhouse feels, the hostess was very helpful and friendly and the views...To die for!! There were fishing lakes, a small playground for the children and just a very big green space to just have a morning stroll

Amazing stay. Will defo do again

Had a lovely room on ground floor in the stables. We loved the beds and shower was amazing. Beautiful grounds to walk the dogs in too.
Breakfast was lovely and pancake machine was entertaining.
We had dogs with us too and they loved the lake area to run around in.

Lovely restful place

Fantastic place to stay. Amazing views and walks. Lovely rooms and very kind staff. It's right next to a swimming pool which is heated and great. There is a delicious cafe. Very well worth the price. Great value

Really lovely stay

Amazing place to stay. The room we stayed in was beautiful with a comfy bed and powerful shower. The grounds were stunning and the playground looked good for children. Breakfast was very tasty with buffet and cooked options. We will be looking to stay here again when we come back to Longleat.

Perfect location to stay when visiting Longleat

Stayed as it was close to Longleat but will be coming back again as loved the parkland setting, had a courtyard room which was just perfect, good size, well appointed and lovely atmosphere around the whole place.  Friendly staff and great value for money.

Perfect stay in a wonderful setting

Fabulous stop over for two nights whilst visiting the area, very comfortable and incredibly well thought out especially when travelling with an elderly parent with mobility issues.  The breakfast was comprehensive and cooked to order so everything fresh.  Use of a kitchen for evening to cook own food, there is no evening food available on site, however this did not reflect on the overall experience.  Plenty of pubs serving good food in the area.

Fabulous Two Night Stay - The Lighthouse, Frome.

This hidden gem of a B & B is Set in Beautiful idyllic countryside, with a lake, Childrens play area & plenty of walking places. 
We stayed in the old Stalls, although the rooms are small (there are much larger rooms available) they are decorated lovely, good light,  Ample space for clothing & big en-suite, you don’t want for anything, the facilities are Exceptional. The best nights sleep I have had in many years. 
Breakfast was good quality produce, cooked perfectly.

Hidden Gem, Exceptional Stay. Thank you!!

Our stay at The Lighthouse is not at all like other reviews.  We appreciate it was warm but we were shown to the small cramped room in The Stables.  We were shown the skylight the fan and light. and told there was no air conditioning.  It was a good job we were travelling with cabin suitcases which we had to stand up as there was no room to lay them down and then be able to get around the bed.  We realised that the renovation had used what we believed was an existing stable.  The bathroom was equally cramped with a small sink and again space was limited.  There is no window other than a small glass panel next to the door that opens onto a corridor.  To get air into the room the only option was to prop the door open which we noticed others had also done but we naturally had to close this when retiring.  We therefore had a very uncomfortable night.  Like other reviews we did not think much to having to order breakfast the night before and the coffee out of the machine was dreadful.  We should have stayed for 2 nights but there was no way we were prepared to stay a second night and as the Reception is not manned we simply left the key and left so it turned into an expensive 1 night unacceptable stay.  There are photos of The Stable rooms on the site showing a bed and bedside cabinets so beware.
