No central heating so booking here during the winter not advisable. Of a two night stay we had to book elsewhere at the last minute for the second night because the room was far too cold and there was no hot water. Communication is awkward as no direct contact at the premises so we had a drawn out third party dialogue through Booking.com. After 12 days we did get a refund, it seems to us the problems in dealing with the refund were mainly down to Booking.com not the owner. 

Disappointed

We had this hotel booked for months. Then they cancelled 3 days before our intended visit. Apparently they are going to alterations- why the short notice of cancellation I have no idea. We are really disappointed- I would advise to not book here as communication is a serious issue- a friend lives locally and found out the reason for cancellation- they didn’t even answer the phone we tried calling.

Not good value at all £110 per night . 
Bathroom terrible . Shower a trickle , sink in the bedroom . Furniture wobbly . All needs a big update . 11 plastic plants in our room . 
It says they have a restaurant and bar . They are 2 separate companies so the bar was closed by 8.30 each night . 
The room was very clean but no toilet rolls on our last day . There was a poster saying they are working on the rooms. That’s really good but totally overpriced for the state they are in currently. Also no reception. Really hard to get someone to help .

Totally overpriced

We just spent a night at the Old Band House Hotel and we were very satisfied. The staff are very nice and they know how to serve, despite the language barrier (my English is not perfect). The room was very nice, the mattress was a little too soft for me, but it's purely personal. You have to think about the electric adapter, Jersey is English. The beach is 300 meters away, Gorey is a British village, it's the landscape. We had dinner at The Ranch and we enjoyed ourselves.

Old Bank House

We had a two night stay. All staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We were shown to our room but it was really hot, the sun had been on the window all afternoon. Although they had provided a fan we asked if they had another room on the other side of the building and were immediately moved to another lovely room. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the rooms along with individually wrapped cookies and quality toiletries. The breakfast is included and there is plenty of choice with vegan and veggie options. Sweet outside area for eating or drinks and apparently they have great quiz nights at the weekend. Really lovely! We will definitely be back.

Jersey Gem!

We only booked four nights at this property. We were delayed (we called multiple times to alert them beforehand but no one answered the phone). When we finally found the place, nobody came to open the door. Then we were given the worst twin room (it was meant for parents with kids). Next day we complained and were promised a refund (that has not happened).They changed our room into a room we originally booked. But they ran out of pillow cases! How can a ‘hotel’ run out of essentials?!

The breakfast was served from 8.30 which is too late..The music was too loud and the room was full of flies.  The staff was just standing behind the bar chatting, drinking coffee and staring into their laptop. After a while we were noticed and someone came to take our order. We had to wait again. There is no buffet breakfast. You have to order it from the menu. Very inconvenient especially when you have to catch a plane/ferry!  
Every time we met the lady from the office, she kept promising a refund to us. We are still waiting for it! 
The property needs upgrade in every single aspect  (beds and mattresses were old and uncomfortable, en-suite bathroom was just a corridor and you had to shut the door if you wanted to get to the toilet, the shower was stuck, a sink was in the bedroom, no blackout curtains, walls are thin and you can hear noise from the corridor, wardrobe had holes in the ceiling...). The staff needs more training.
We would not stay in this property again and would not recommend it.

Poor value for money!

Had a lovely stay here comfortable clean rooms. The food is home cooked and delicious reasonably priced. A 10 minute walk to the beautiful harbour and beech .It may be a 2 star hotel but the manager Gabby and her staff are positively 5 star. There is ample free parking and a lovely outdoor area advise to book in advance 

Lovely place 

The hotel itself is right, even very nice. It is old but renovated, or it must be. There was no one at the hotel reception. We realized that we had to go down to the restaurant to check in, have the key. Secondly, our room (15), had an unpleasant perfume. I took my courage to ask for a nice change (doesn't like to disturb coffee). The owners were on vacation, it was the restaurant staff who managed the rooms (a little dissatisfied!). We had to contact the owners for the room we could have.

we arrived at the 'guesthouse' not hotel at approx. 8.30pm to be told that there was no restuarant, no bar and no outside garden for afternoon teas.The nearest bar we were told was a 15 minute walk to the harbour. We stayed in room 10, very very basic and dated more like a hostal.The bathroom was tiny with a broken toilet,broken toilet roll holder[lying on the floor all week] The first morning the ancient shower would not work,Paul came upstairs with a screwdriver and said'sorted' All we had was a trickle of water. Because there were no facilities in the 'hotel' we had to walk to a cafe in the village for breakfast.This hotel is not as advertised on any websites.Be warned. Beware room 10.

Very disappointed as The Hotel/Booking.com didn’t inform us that the Restaurant/Bar wouldn’t be open.  The room was a disappointment being right at the top in an attic type room, so it was very hot.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as it was more like a hostel.
