Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We had an en suite room with garden and sea views. Everything in the room and en suite was of the highest standard.
Could not fault the breakfast, everything was perfect.
Located in small cliff top village a few miles from Hastings town or Rye. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Hillcliffe House March 2022

This is a really lovely B&B to stay in.   Rita and Dennis were exceptional hosts, friendly and making sure we had all we needed. We stayed in the upstairs room with a pretty view over garden and to the sea. The room was spotless, bed comfy, plenty of storage, free wi-fi and a good size en-suite. Table was set for breakfast with a choice of cereals, orange juice and yoghurts. Toast and full English cooked to order - and very delicious it was too! A perfect, quiet base for a break.

Perfect B&B 

What a delightful couple Dennis and Rita are - they are perfect hosts and so friendly. They gave us a special welcome greeting with a cuppa and cake.
The sea view bedroom and en-suite was a special treat - the comfortable bed, the decor, the cleanliness and the view was wow - bit of a hard act to follow.
Breakfast is yummy and cooked to order - everything is served so beautifully.
The only downside is you do need a car (although there is a bus service closeby to Hastings, Pett and Rye) and there are no pubs/shops closeby. The coastal footpath is only a short walk.
We do so hope we can stay there again and chat to the lovely couple.

Wonderful, wow & chic B & B!

Cosy, comfortable and très chic!  A warm welcome from the hosts and a really lovely breakfast that set me up for a busy weekend of work.

A pretty location by the sea, La France visible in fairer weather and a short drive from Hastings town centre where I was working. 

Delightful even in stormy weather!

We wanted to stay somewhere close to Rye and Hastings and the location of Rita and Dennis's b and b was perfect. They are delightful hosts who welcomed us and our dog into their beautifully kept, comfortable home as if we had known them for years. 
We stayed in the ground floor room which had everything we needed including an excellent TV and adjoining bathroom. 
Tea and biscuits on arrival and a huge and delicious breakfast the following day. We had some great conversation and enjoyed their recommendation of the local pub for our evening meal.

A delightful homely stay

Lovely hosts, beautiful house and rooms, wonderful breakfast. We had the sea view room and it proved to be a real treat. Saw a magnificent sun rise as a bonus. I would recommend this B&B very highly ❤️.

Fabulous Hillcliffe

Dennis and Rita are the perfect hosts with years of experience in the business. They share their house like you are part of the family. 
If you are junky enough to book the main bedroom upstairs you are in for an incredible treat. The views are spectacular from early morning through to night time. The room is decorated to a very high standard with a beautiful on suite bathroom and walk in shower. 
You are welcomed with a special greeting that makes you feel comfortable from the start of your stay. 
Breakfast is incredible, nothing is left out and you will have a first hand experience of their beautiful garden, 
You do need a car to get there and there are no shops or pubs/ restaurants near by, with very limited taxi service. But don’t let this put you off as you will be in for a most overwhelming stay with lovely memories.

A special place with an overwhelming experience

One of the best welcoming we ever had! The room at the first floor has a splendid sea view, the breakfast is delicious (with fresh fruits), and the place was very quiet. Very relaxing after some days in London! However the mattress was a bit too soft for us with back aches. Anyway, we could have spent more days there!

Fantastic welcoming!

We had the most wonderful warm welcome.  The hygiene, decor and breakfast etc. spot on.  Our hosts were very attentive and great fun.  Pretty garden, good setting and could not wish for more in having a quick break.  We all look forward to revisiting Rita and Dennis some time in the future.

Just perfect

The Bed and breakfast was spotless. The hosts hospitality went above and beyond what you would expect. An instance of this was when I phoned to find out directions from the bus stop to the bed and breakfast. After I started to walk for about a minute the host Dennis arrived to drive me back to the bed and breakfast.
I don’t eat meat which was no trouble,  I was given salmon and able to choose what else I wanted on the plate.
