I came from Lincolnshire for my dad's funeral in Hatfield The room was big & the bed was very comfortable. There was a bath was was a lovely surprise. Plenty of wardrobe room. Tea, coffee and a kettle in the room.

A family gathering

What a great start to 2024, the staff smashing it out of the park as always. I’ve been staying with Hatfield hotel since the 2nd January for the month and each day I am greeted with smiles and great service. The room has air conditioning and is always clean. Free car parking is perfect for my trips into London for work. 
A big shoutout to Monika and Jen for always taking time to have a quick chat each day, definitely gives it that personal touch. Nothing is ever to much to all the staff.

Great way to start 2024

The Hotel was clean and rooms spacious, thankfully it was only an overnight stay after a New Year’s Eve event. 
Staff were unavailable, had to wait for staff to come to reception for some time after ringing the bell 
Booked breakfast to be told when we arrived that there was not going to be any more food. There was barely enough for a couple of people, for a table of 11. Staff in the restaurant were very rude! We ended up driving to go elsewhere for breakfast

Family of 4 stayed for one night whilst visiting family in the area. 
We had paid in advance for our breakfast and booked a table for 9am the following morning. Went to have breakfast and the restaurant had a sign on the door stating it was closed until 3pm! Was very disappointed and so were my two children who were very hungry by this point! Went to reception to be told we would get our breakfast refunded wasn’t overly apologetic, just factual and blunt! Wasn’t given a reason! Very poor service  we  be back. We then had to go else where and pay again for breakfast whilst waiting for our refund to process which would take several days!

For £90 a night with very basic breakfast with understaffed kitchen and microwaveable scrambled eggs, I think this place is overpriced. The building is tired and almost off putting. The carpets smell of years of service. Would not be coming back, would go for Airbnb instead

Very Basic

We were very happy when we arrived at the Premier Inn Hatfield after a long journey from France. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. The room was spotlessly clean and cosy with all the usual things you find in a Premier Inn. Very comfortable bed. great bathroom with large, fluffy towels. Great hairdryer. It was very quiet as we asked for a room at the rear of the hotel and we slept really well. Excellent value as usual.
Then comes breakfast! We opted for a cooked breakfast as the Premier Inn breakfast is usually such good value for money. We entered the restaurant expecting to be greeted and asked our room number. Nothing, We waited minutes and finally someone asked us our room number and explained it was a buffet and we could sit wherever we liked. I went to find a table and my husband went to get his food. Most of the tables were covered in used plates and cutlery and when they were cleared they were not wiped. A health hazard surely! It took ages for my husband to get some scrambled eggs. When I went to get my breakfast there were 2 hard and greasy looking fried eggs and a dish with some dry, overcooked bacon. It looked as though they had been under the lights for hours. The sausages were the only decent thing on the buffet. I had to ask for orange juice and milk. No one was checking to so what was missing from the buffet. There was a room divider between our table and the hot and cold drink area which was covered in dust and food debris so it's obvious that cleanliness is not important here. What's going on Whitbread? 
This was a really good experience spoilt by disastrous catering.

Could have been a 5!

Very nice stop over food was adequate, room was lovely and warm as was shower although not any power outlets by the bed other than that ideal, staff very friendly and willing to help. Good location for hatfield house too

Ideal stay

Nice friendly hotel clean and very comfortable rooms staff were lovely had everything we needed for our stay very comfortable bed good size bath resturaunt nxt door easy to access lovely breakfast at a reasonable price

Good nights sleep

The hotel itself was decent but the pub next door is shabby and food is not great neither evening meal nor breakfast were very food and the staff in the pub didn’t seem bothered. Great location for hotel but eat elsewhere in my opinion 

Value for money

I would like to say the check in, was excellent and check out was also excellent both member s of staff were friendly and very good. 
The reason I gave it a 3 is the food quality next door. Table booked, told to sit anywhere. Order chicken wings with bbq sauce, it looked like a sea of bbq sauce. The main course well where do you start, cold potatoes, chicken was cold too and over cooked as well. The food was just thrown in a plate. It looked disgusting too. 
The breakfast was really good as normal for premier inn. Would use hotel again but not the restaurant attached avoid it like the plague.
