Stayed the weekend for a short break. We have been coming to talacre numerous times a year for the last 11 years. We have seen changes over the years and the park is growing. We have found the club entertainment room is way too small for the park. You need to head down to the room around 530-6pm to try and get a seat at least an hour before any entertainment starts. They really need to look at expanding. We wanted to have tea out in the restaurant but every table was taken especially with football being shown in the eating area. 
The entertainment team are fab with KJ and Rych knowing our youngest lad as soon as they saw him and they know he's Charlie's biggest fan.
We will keep coming as Talacre is our fav place. The beach is so close, kids love the dunes, bakery is a must, sandancer arcade, Ice cream at Lola and Suggs and the cash & carry is cheap for essentials, beach toys and DIY bits.
Stayed in samphire caravan and only grumble was the dripping tap in the kitchen and there were only 3 knifes in the drawer for 6 people.


Lost count of how many visits to Talacre 

First time we have visited north wales as a family so didnt really know what to expect lets start with the plus points. The beach and dunes at talacre are brilliant for kids to go and explore and play. The onsite chip shop is really good (especially the chinese curry sauce) the caravan we stayed in was a foxtail and for the price was a nice modern caravan. The park itself is kept very clean and tidy. Now for the negatives we stayed on park 2 which is very cramped and has no privacy. Very easy to get lost or loose your bearings due to complete lack of signposts. No direct beach access from caravan park as advertised on website the beach is a 10/15 minute walk if able to walk up and down sand dunes. Arcade on caravan park very small and outdated. Swimming pool very small and lifeguards were rude and unfriendly. To sum up our family break we did enjoy our stay overall and had a good time for what we paid for 3 night stay.

Cheap and cheerful

Awful,dirty caravan, staff need training on food allergies, paid over £500 for a four night stay in the dirtiest caravan.
Caravan smelt of drains, bedding smelt damp stains on mattress no mattress covers, broken glass left in bedroom (daughter trod on it). Broken fridge it was just awful. Did complain just had a refund of £50? We will never book anything with this company again.

Disaster.  Worst site I’ve been to.  What is the idea of closing the facilities for a whole day bang in the middle of kids Easter break.  Questionable cleanliness in the caravan.  I’ll put this wine down to experience and go elsewhere in future.  Waste of time and money.

Disaster

Lovely stay at Talacre. Easily one of the best caravan sites I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to many! Sadly we couldn’t do much as our son fell ill (nothing to do with the place we were staying, just a general bug). We liked it so much and felt so sad that the kids couldn’t do much, that we booked the fir tree lodge with hot tub for April! I will review that when we’ve been. 
Staff were lovely, gave us a brand new buggy for the little one for free! We stayed in a samphire caravan. It was immaculate, clean, tidy, well equipped for basic needs, modern, spacious, nicely decorated and lovely and warm upon arrival. The beds were comfy, very clean and not like the usual tiny caravan beds where your feet sick out the end. Felt very safe where we were. Peaceful of a night, no crazy parties of people. Lots of people complained about the parking as you can’t park next to caravan, but we didn’t have an issue. There are plenty of parking lots literally everywhere. It may be a little bit of an issue for those less able but it didn’t bother us at all.
There are 2 sites, a main one where the pool, clubhouse, arcade, etc is and a second one that you do have to walk to to get to the main site. Again, not a problem for us, but may be an issue for the less able. If you are on site 2 and you will be walking to the main site at night, I recommend taking a torch because the street you walk down is pretty dark and there isn’t much pavement. The is a cut through in the centre of site 2 if you can find it which is well lit and much safer than walking the main road. 
The food at the chip shop is really nice and the restaurant food is brilliant! There is even a Costa! Arcade is small but to be honest I was glad about that because kids couldn’t spend an absolute fortune! Although we couldn’t really get involved with the entertainment having a sick kid in tow, I did pop by to see what was on offer and I am telling you, the entertainment for the kids is fab! There was arts and crafts, dance competitions, absolutely something for everyone of every age. The entertainment staff were lovely. The pool, which we didn’t get to sadly, has a lot of activities, again, something for all ages! I think there’s a jacuzzi in there. There is also a steam room and sauna which I can’t wait to try in April! 
The beach is a short walk and again, we didn’t get to go but we are looking forward to getting there in April!
All in all, even though we couldn’t do much, it was fab enough for us to immediately rebook to experience the place properly and we can’t wait!!

Lovely site with plenty to do

Nice family break away. Reception staff were lovely and informative. The caravan was very difficult to find but after a walk we found our barings. The caravan was lovely and clean. Just a short walk to the beach which was nice. The on site restaurant was lovely, the food was exceptional! The swimming pool was lovely and warm. Only let down was the arcades are very very small. But overall, would recommend! 

A nice family break!

Visited here for a midweek break with my family, the site itself is in a good location, close to the beach and there is entertainment on site, it’s a short drive away from several attractions so overall we did have a nice holiday however the caravan was poorly maintained, there was a hole in the floor of the bathroom were we could see through, there was also several cleaning products left in the sink of the bathroom on arrival alongside a brush and sponge on the grass, was reasonably priced however will not be staying again

Fab camp 2 close to what we needed little park on owners side pool used chipy nice paid in car park 20 p for the beach little bakery nice down the local shops went to see what entertainment was like had a drink in bar did arcades instead loud and fir young kids but fine nice clean park very clean pool area lovely pool side area chairs steam room sauna nice lots to see and did travelling into other parts wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 we lvd it caravan was perfect 123 lovely clean van next to big grass area close to gate to owners park perfectly situated for kids and the weather was perfect hot for Friday sat sunny Sunday Monday even hotter thanks 😊 

Loverly 

Never been anywhere as poor as this place, caravan damp, loo seats not fixed to toilets, 2 pillows for 4 single beds, kitchen utensils in different cupboards through our caravan, dirty pricey camp,  rude receptionist, who used the F word when describing the hot weather.

Talacre crap

We arrived on Monday and left Wednesday morning rather than Thursday as the caravan was roasting and the dogs were suffering from the heat. We would have stayed if we didn’t have a heatwave though.
The caravan was visually clean and nicely set up but the floors weren’t cleaned, and my bare feet were caked in sand and dirt; so I would suggest you bring flip flops (or similar) 
We read reviews about the caravans being no good for large people and that is true but for a couple of nights, being a man mountain, I made do. 

On the first night we sat at a table outside of Boardwalk which nobody bothered to clean before we were seated or even when they fetched our pizza .. which was ok.

We gave a rating of 3 stars because despite of the niggles, it is well located for the beach and brilliant if you have dogs.

We’ll be back!
