The hosts were very accommodating by helping us whenever we needed. They replied to our messages very quickly, and helped us with even difficult requests. The location was quite remote, but they ensured we would have a brilliant stay. Will definitely stay there whenever travelling by

Great hosts, very accommodating

Stayed at the hotel Sat 25th Nov for 1 night. We ventured into Huddersfield for a football game and used the hotel as our base. Dave the publican was a super nice guy, let us into the pub early so we could drop our bags off before we headed to the game. Got back around 8:00pm rang ahead and ordered our dinner, no problem at all. Stayed for Karaoke with the locals before heading upstairs for the night. Rooms a great, cosy and warm. Dave asked us what time for breakfast so he made sure we had a full English breakfast ready. The guy is a legend! All the staff and locals made us feel very welcome and the food was great as well. Well done to the young lad in the kitchen and the ladies behind the bar. Three very satisfied Aussies on tour. We'll be back!

Boys trip for some football

My friend and I called in for Sunday lunch today after a hike on the moors so we were ready for it…WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Wow…we were informed it was a beef Sunday lunch that was on offer, the service was fantastic, friendly, warm and helpful snd the food was simply divine, one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in my 42 years, extra gravy offered without requesting, the beef melted in your mouth and the Yorkshire pudding was huge and cooked to perfection!!! Will definitely be back with more friends.

Best Sunday lunch EVER!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic meal last night!! Would highly recommend the chicken and leek pie witu chunky chips and mushy peas, absolutely delicious!! Wish I’d have taken a photo. The staff are amazing and great value for money!! Thank you New Inn 💗

Fantastic food and service!!

Whilst visiting family we have eaten here numerous times - this last weekend we decided to have a full family gathering in Marsden - 10 adults and seven children! We booked a slot here for an evening meal and were offered a dining room area all to ourselves - the food is as ever very good, nothing fancy just good quality well cooked food - the biggest thanks have to go to the team who looked after us all! They were amazing! So friendly and helpful - we then booked a further visit for a Sunday roast which was superb! Again great service and lovely home cooked food - a big well done to the team who did a great job of dealing with 7 small children and a couple of babies and never batted an eyelid! Great place for good honest quality food.

A warm welcome

We called here for the first time after walking up from Slaithwaite.
Really glad we did,friendly atmosphere and staff and genuinely home cooked food.
We chose the gammon and chips which came with lots of trimmings.
We sadly couldn't manage  some of the delicious twice cooked chunky chips.
The Sunday Lunches being served looked delicious and were also generous portions.
We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing value,make sure you're hungry.

What a fabulous honest pub doing grest food. Spent a few days up in Marsden,  and enjoyed a sunny afternoon outside with a few bottles of prosecco and a couple of excellent pizzas,... and the following evening, again outside in the sun with more prosecco and some excellent fish and chips. Food is fab, staff are excellent. Nothing to fault here. .... grest prices too.

Top pub!!

We visited on Sunday at teatime on a bit of a whim! I rang ahead and they reserved us a table and glad I did as it was busy. Order was taken quickly and happy to do a few substitutions. My husband and I were presented with huge burgers with the biggest onion rings ever. Fab chunky chips for me and fries for him and our daughter who also had a child’s margarita pizza. All in all great food, great service and very reasonable 

Great Sunday tea! 

We were in Marsden after a lovely walk in the area and looking for somewhere to eat. The New Inn were able to accommodate us and we were not disappointed. The waitress was extremely helpful and friendly and we felt very COVID safe. The food was amazing and lots of it. The braised steak was as it should be very tasty as were the vegetables and chips. We will definitely be visiting again when in the area and would highly recommend a visit for great food and pub experience.

GREAT FOOD AT THE NEW INM

We had a big group 17 family members aged from 9- 73 meeting up in a house near Marsden and wanted a nice lunch, I rang around a few places then rang the New Inn where I spoke to a lovely lady, I asked if they did a Christmas lunch as we live far apart and never get a Christmas together. We were sent a menu for us all to pre order from, excellent communication, when we arrived they had a room just for us which was beautifully decorated with party hats, crackers, so christmassy. The food all came out together, everyone enjoyed all the different menu choices, lovely staff and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you New Inn for our fab Christmas dinner
