Ridiculous charge for getting a tiny amount of food on a duvet. £100. On arrival nothing was mentioned about not being allowed to take food back to the room. Got a phone call the day after saying there was a sign explaining this. Never saw any type of sign. Totally went the wrong way about it. Very rude and abrupt. Asking if I had my wallet present straight away to pay. I suggest if anyone has kids do not go to this hotel because it will cost you an arm and a leg in fines. Day light robbery. Fortunate for him we are good people and we paid the fine. So be aware people. £40 would have been acceptable but £100 is absolutely ridiculous

If it wasnt for the view the room was nothing special. As for the breakfast i cant believe anyone would rate the breakfast the bacon was like tongue and oinking, the egg was overcooked the mushrooms were undercooked and iv never knew a full tomato be served undercooked on a breakfast was basically not even cooked. There was a strange dark haired man kept popping up out of no where aswell with a pompis tone made me feel very disturbed and uncomfortable especially when i was in the shower. The sockets wernt working in room in one corner and the towels didnt get changed until the second night. We were scared to break wind incase anyone was listening behind the door. 

Average, claustrophobic, bad breakfast 

The location overlooking the mini-golf park was superb. Breakfast was fine. The WiFi borrowed from the adjacent accommodation was weak and intermittent. The bathroom was a tight cubical space, not enough to bend over. The housekeeping was bad. I had to clear debris (contains hair and mucus) myself from the bath drainage hole, lest it floods!

Wonderful location and trying stay. Only the brave need venture.

The welcome from Alison and Barry was warm and friendly. They gave us recommendations on where to eat in the evenings and the breakfast was very good and plentiful. Lovely large room with en-suite shower room which was clean and comfortable. We stayed in ‘Catbells’ room and the view was amazing over Hope park and looking onto Catbells. There was private parking which was well arranged by the host.

Very good B&B…..and the views!!

We have just returned from a two night stay at this lovely B&B. It has a pretty frontage and lovely garden with outside seating and stunning views. The whole place is spotless. Our room was very good with a comfortable bed and modern on suite. The breakfast was fantastic and the omelettes were very good indeed as were the poached eggs. It is situated in a central area facing the park and a short distance from the centre. A well run establishment with lovely hosts.

Very good experience would definitely recommend the hosts were very helpful and the breakfast we’re good.
The room was very nice and clean the bathroom was good the b&b is in a great position over looking the park ,looking forward to staying again 

A very good B&b

I’ve just returned from a lovely weekend in Keswick where my friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Brundholme. We come to Keswick for the festival every year so it’s fair to say we’ve tried many B&Bs and this one is up there with the best. In fact, when you factor in the genuine warmth and friendliness of Alison and Barry, it IS the best! We’ve had some grumpy hosts in the past, which can really put a dampener on the stay. Not here though; Alison and Barry are absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. Barry even made us a lovely pot of freshly brewed coffee foc whilst we were waiting to be picked up after we’d checked out. 
The rooms were spotless and very comfortable and, like everyone else has said, the views were amazing too. I’d definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay

We have just returned from another great weekend in Keswick and this time we had the genuine pleasure of staying with Alison and Barry. Everything about this little guest house is superb. The hospitality from both Barry and Alison was second to none, the breakfast was outstanding as was the service offered by Alison. We genuinely could not have wanted for more. To top it al we had amazing views over Catbells from our bedroom. Thank you so much!! We are frequent visitors to Keswick and there will only be one place we stay from now on.

Sunny Spring Break

The weather outside was frightful having arrived just as Storm Barra was making an appearance. The warm welcome from Alison and Barry made up for it though and what a cosy couple of nights we had at Brundholme.
We try to visit at least once a year. The views from the bedrooms are amazing it doesn't matter which room you're allocated although we do prefer being on the front looking over Catbells.
Breakfast is something we especially look forward to. My husband always has an omelette at least one morning( Barry's speciality and so tasty)
The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Loads of hot water for a much needed shower after walking the hills. 5 mins walk down to Hope Park or into the town. About 15 mins from the lakeside. Although we do walk slow through the park there is so much to look at. 
Loads to do even on a rainy day. Plenty of walking direct from the doorstep you don't even need to use the car. There is parking at the rear of the house.

Best B and B in Keswick. 

my husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday.  The b+b itself is centrally located, 5 - 10 minutes walk to anywhere you need to be - Keswick Launch, Booths / Bus stop, main shopping street, etc. I'm so glad we chose to stay here. Barry and Allison gave us a very warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. cooked and cold breakfast was generous. Allison was incredibly friendly and bubbly - it really felt like we were being welcomed into their home and not into their business.  She was always ready with a recommendation on things to do and places to see in Keswick and the surrounding area.  I mentioned it was my birthday, in passing, and when my husband and I got back to our room, there was a lovely birthday card waiting for me, which I thought was a thoughtful touch.  No matter which room you stay in, you're guaranteed a great view, which only added to the experience.  the property and the location were very very quiet, which only helped us to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking and sight seeing.  Allison and Barry - you're the gold standard of what a host should be and we look forward to our next trip to the Lakes and to Brundholme xxx
