Rather scruffy bar and downstairs area: needs upgrade. I'd booked a table fays before: for 7.30. Went down at 7.20 to be told it would be a while, so went for a walk...got a novel from my room...90 minutes later than booked, the food arrived. It was tasty, but by then I was ravenous. Breakfast was £8.00, which was all right if you chose the cooked option, but the Continental choice was abysmal: Corn Flakes, Rice Crispies, orange juice, tea/coffee, toast, anaemic marmalade. 
Room was fine, with a large en-suite bathroom. Because it was built in the 16th Century nothing is straight or level so walking can be problematic.

Good food, but you'll wait.

The room was very clean and quite large, dog friendly but we were upstairs and we have a 14 year old Yorkshire terrier who cannot do stairs so had to be carried up and down every time, staff were very friendly and breakfast very tasty but expensive, would have given 5 if it wasn’t for the stairs, as we are elderly ourselves it was very hard, so glad we didn’t have a St Bernard, the shower has a very high step and no grab rails to help with entering and leaving, all good for younger people but not when if your getting on in years, I would recommend.

Lovely country pub with rooms 

This was the third time staying for two nights sharing a twin room. We had lovely tasty food and plenty of it although there was no fish available each time.  The lady in charge of the breakfasts did a super scrambled egg and it was always hot. Rooms clean and warm and the bed didn't disappoint away from home.

Ideal location

Friendly staff, OK evening food and drinks bar. As it is an old building, the clean en-suite rooms are small with a labyrinth of stairs and doors to access, but they did have coffee/tea making facility with packaged biscuits. The car park is of a reasonable size and upon rough ground.
The breakfast was of average standard.
The cost of B&B was slightly more than I would have expected.

A great base for touring

I arrived at the inn, reserved my dinner for 7.00. I was hungry having biked about 70 miles from Aberystwyth. However, my main course took 90 minutes to arrive. It was a very limited menu, no starters although these were listed on the online menu. I did order a small potion of scampi to be a starter. This took about 45 minutes to arrive.  I asked if the Inn was particularly busy,   I was told no, most of the people there were regulars. When you have been energetic all day all you want is food as soon as possible. 
My main course was a steak, only adequately cooked. Certainly not the medium rare ordered. 
Having said all this, my bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower room was somewhat small, if you sat on the toilet your knees were jammed up against the radiator. 

A chaotic evening with dinner taking 90 minutes to arrive

A Perfect Getaway For Great Food And Drinks

Superbly run, brilliant staff, extremely clean and tidy, 32 different types of meals brought out fast and efficiently and the quality of food was excellent. Very quick service on the bar and a good selection of drinks. Thank you for our warm welcome. Llanbradach Bowling Club.

Nice friendly pub to stay in. Welcoming, clean, decent pub grub. Shower headroom was only good if you are 5 foot tall but the whole place has a old wood charm. Not the sort of place if you like shiny new hotels but good if you like old pubs with quirky vibe.

Welcome stay on a cycle through Wales. Room was basic and comfortable with tv and plenty of tea and coffee. Bathroom a bit cramped. Menu had a good range. I had the local sausages and mash followed by excellent steamed pudding and custard. Basic and good breakfast.

Welcome stay in heart of Wales

Arrived wanting good pub food and that’s what we got. I ordered a pint of Welsh Pale Ale and it was served in a hot freshly washed glass. When I complained, it was changed without question. The food and service were both great.
