Fantastic location, friendly staff and good for the price. Amenities are basic but what you would expect from a Travel lodge. Would definitely stay again

Excellent hotel for visiting the West End of London Theatre Land.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
'Super' Rooms very clean and comfortable.
Tube stations only a few minutes away. 

Overnight Stay for the Theatre

Having had a poor experience previously at a London Travelodge, we vowed never to use them again, but a friend recommended the Covent Garden hotel and so we tried it.  Excellent is all I can say.  Hotel rooms, Bar, Reception area so clean and friendly staff throughout.  Booked us a taxi with no problem and the taxi turned up quickly. Food is excellent. We booked 2 single rooms but on arrival, found we were on different floors which disappointed us but it was no problem to the Receptionist, we were upgraded to rooms on the same floor without issue.  Had a great stay - so good in fact, that we are returning to Covent Garden at Christmas and will be staying at The Travelodge - now our "go-to" London Hotel. Well recommended.  You can leave your baggage too on your last day for no cost, whilst you explore London unencumbered  - thats a massive bonus. Recommended.

Travelodge Covent Garden

I was pleasantly surprised with check in and a surprise upgrade to my room. Room was airy, en-suite was cramped, I couldn't sit on the toilet without touching the sink and I'm average size. The complementary soap isn't pleasant smelling to me so I'm pleased I brought my own toiletries. I was on the 9th floor and the shower pressure was weaker than a watering can which was disappointing. If I could actually rinse my hair I'd have rated this higher as the hotel is central yet quite and clean. Staff were friendly, the soft drink selection is pretty limited. The food at the bar is great value for Money, I got a pizza and a soft drink fir £15. Food was fast, fresh and great taste. 'Average' seems to be a bit low of a score but it wasn't 'very good' but I'd not be put off to use again. 

As you'd expect

We had a wonderful buffet breakfast, the staff were lovely and welcoming especially Zeferina who was very cheerful kind and helpful. Plenty of vegan options, which were labelled.
Reception staff were helpful in sorting any problems and very welcoming.

Lovely staff

Just spent 4 nights here, myself and my 10 year old daughter. We got a twin room in the renovated section of the hotel and it was great. Bigger than expected (comfortable amount of space between the beds, space for a desk and chair in the room, so not tiny like some London hotels. Bathroom was very compact but perfectly adequate. Good pressure in the shower, and once you kept the shower curtain inside the shower, it was fine. 

We hadn't prebooked breakfast but were able to pay on the morning, and it was £10.50 for me and kids eat free. Good selection for breakfast - fresh fruit, toast, bagels, croissants, pancakes, yoghurt, granola, cereal (corn flakes, crunchy nut, rice krispies, weetabix), porridge, plenty of hot food - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pudding etc. We ate early both mornings (circa 7am or so) and breakfast was very quiet and everything was very fresh at that time. 

We paid for the Wifi and the speed was good enough to watch Netflix on the phone etc, so no issues at all there. We also left our luggage there on the last day - they have a left luggage service between 9am and 6pm, which was very useful. 

Location could not have been better - easy walk to 3 Tube stations - about 7 minutes to Covent Garden, 6 minutes to Holborn, 10 minutes to Tottingham Court Road - and about 3 minutes walk to Tesco Express, so very easy to stock up on water etc. We didn't have any issues with noise while we stayed there and slept well. There were spare pillows in the room. Lots of choice of TV channels. Room was not serviced while we were there, but we were told that at check-in, and there is a door hanger supplied so you can list anything you need more of. We didn't need anything extra during our stay so didn't use it. 

Note: There are steep stairs up to the hotel at the front on the building, but there is an accessible entrance around the side with a ramp instead. 

Would highly recommend this hotel based on our recent experience!

Theatre visit

Economic Stays while on the go is Travelodge at covent garden. They offer an efficient and quick service from stay related issues to food. The rooms even if a tad small in size, is clean and utilitarian. If you need a functional stay at stones throw distance to anywhere in the city, this is your place. 

Our support at the reception ( I think Vamsika) checking us in on the 6th April as well as on the 16th were very helpful.

Economic stay at Central London

Great hotel, best features are the location, we walked pretty much everywhere where we wanted to go and always felt safe, and the staff. All staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Zeferina was great was our young kids at breakfast. Would definitely go again.
