Very friendly owner, excellent hygiene standards and strict adherence to all current Covid regulations.
Very homely comfortable hotel with very caring safe feeling for the welfare of guests during these very tough times for any hospitality service business.
Excellent to still be offered a full cooked breakfast and not the dreaded 'Breakfast box'
Pert has a fantastic choice of places to eat out for an evening meal once Covid restrictions have been lowered again.  Highly reccomend the Hotel and the City.

Visit during Covid 19

We stayed at Rowanlea for one night in September, and cannot recommend this place highly enough. This was our first night of our touring trip in Scotland, and we were nervous about staying away from home during this Covid crisis, but Peter and his wife had prepared well to keep their guests safe, putting us at ease immediately, and they were excellent hosts throughout our stay. The room was spotless, comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and it was the little attention to details that make this above and beyond an average B&B - like a fridge in the lounge for guests to use, freezing my ice pack ready for our morning journey, and also when we put in our request for our special tea for breakfast Peter, without prompting, brought us some tea bags for our room. It's also a short walk from the lovely town. Thank you!

Warm welcome, and great attention to detail

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend in Perth staying at the Rowanlea Guest House.    We can’t recommend strongly enough.  Everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, large room with very comfortable bed.  Breakfast was delicious.  Peter and his wife were perfect hosts.  Easy and very pleasant 10/15 minutes walk into the town centre.  As for Perth loads to do and see. We look forward to our next visit.

Lovely accommodation with a warm homely welcome from the owners. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean!  You will find all you should require to make your stay feel like home.

Weekend made perfect!

Arrived to a friendly welcome from Peter, after a long drive from London.  B&B was clean and had all the facilities that we needed , even a fridge in the living room to store our drinks ! Would recommend if you are visiting and want a good base for lots of sightseeing/trips, breakfast was lovely also, great value,

Scotland trip

Stayed the first 2 nights of the July reopening - Peter & Phyllis run an excellent guest house and are very friendly - use it regularly when back in Perth to visit relatives. Easy walk down to city centre - £5 taxi fare back up if one has had a few babychams!

Reopened - hooray!

Lovely welcome from Peter. Plenty onsite parking. Within easy walking distance of Perth city centre. Spacious bedroom which was clean and provided everything required for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was fresh,  varied and plentiful. Enjoyed our stay and will definately use here again.

Very comfortable guest house

We arrived at the guest house and were met by Peter the owner. It was so easy to find, about 1 1/2 miles straight down the road from the roundabout at the end of the motorway. Parking outside the front door was great. After going through the formalities of checking in we were very very happy with our room(no.6). It was a good size, well laid out, spotlessly clean, and lovely and warm. If we hadn't already booked a meal in town we would have been more than happy to relax in it for the rest of the evening, the bed was very comfortable and the seat at the window was nice to sit at watching the tv with wee dram.
We agree with the choosing of breakfast when checking in. It saves so much going to waist and really,,its not set in stone. 
After coming back from town, which, again was only a gentle 20 minutes walk, it was so nice coming back to a cosy warm room. We settled down very contented for the night and had a peaceful nights sleep.
In the morning we had a fantastic breakfast. More than enough choice of cerial, yogurts and fruit to keep us going till our cooked breakfast was made, from the grill to the plate, fantastic. The dining area was perfect. Lovely decor, plenty room, bright and inviting. Oh, and the coffee was brilliant (brand?)
We were able to leave the car parked till we had a walk back into town to see the sights. Again, no hassles no rush, just like everything about our stay.
Peter and Phyllis have done themselves proud. A nice,friendly,comfortable guest house. Top marks all round !!!!

Simply lovely

2 delightful nights stay at this excellent guest house. Immaculately clean, cosy warm and very welcoming indeed. Our bed was perfect (and I am mega picky) en-suite has everything you would need, soaps, moisturisers etc etc. Peter and Phyllis provided a delicious monster breakfast with every choice possible. 
If you are looking to book here, don’t hesitate - you will love it! 
Oh and it is on the bus route into town if you can’t be bothered to walk.

We really enjoyed our stay last week.Looked after very well by Peter and Phyllis, given a lot of helpful information adding to the enjoyment of our stay.Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
