Stayed here for 5 nights and having read the opening hours of the bar and restaurant thought we had on site refreshments for at least 3 of those days.

The room was very clean, spacious, plenty of storage space with a large bathroom. There was an ironing board and iron and a hairdryer provided plus coffee/tea and bottles of water (nice touch). The bed was comfortable although the room got a little too warm at night. Parking is allocated for rooms and plenty of space.

Self check in system with keys in a lockbox rang the first alarm bells. Who would we contact if there was an issue as there is no reception (fortunately there were no issues). No face to greet and explain how everything worked.

There was no information the in the room at all. Nothing about breakfast times, bar and restaurant times, menus, how to get help if needed. No local tourist information leaflets despite a huge empty dresser and drawers downstairs in the entrance lobby. There was a single umbrella which I assume was to borrow between 5 rooms if needed.

First day we went to breakfast at 8 o clock, to be told it was from 8:30. Never did find out when the latest time was. 

Breakfast was excellent. Good choice and really good quality hot food with a choice of cereal and yoghurts too. Very friendly breakfast staff, couldn’t fault them.

So the bar opened Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We returned from a meal in Tenby on Friday at 9:07pm hoping for a couple of drinks before bed to find the bar closed. Another couple staying there had the same disappointing experience when they arrived in the evening and went down at 9pm. Saturday I called in at 5:30pm to ask about the restaurant which we booked for 7:30. Was told at the time the bar closed at 9pm and food was served until 8:30pm. Very disappointing as it’s advertised as a country inn.

The restaurant room allows dogs, which surprised me given they have other “bar” rooms which could be used for dog owners. They were empty. The bar was not a busy place.

Food was pretty good, mussels starter was lovely but they had no 16oz steak as advertised. Wine menu very limited, just 2 red wines (bottle) and similar for white and rose. We were charged for a desert we did not have, although this was rectified immediately on noticing. The serving staff were young and we were told they must have put the desert on the wrong bill. We were the last to leave as we finished our wine in the bar area so someone had a free desert!!

Felt unwelcome finishing the bottle of wine, like they were waiting for us to leave so they could close. Sure enough, as soon as we left at 8:50pm the doors were locked.

Sunday appeared popular for Sunday lunch in the afternoon. Lots of cars in the car park. By 5:45pm the bar was closed again so we walked down the local pub.

Really not the country inn and restaurant that we thought we booked. Lovely rooms and comfortable B&B but terrible bar opening hours and lack of information.

No info, poor bar opening times. Room and breakfast lovely.

We were hugely disappointed in our stay here. We came back for our Golden wedding Anniversary as this was where we spent our honeymoon.  Although i put this on our booking, and mentioned it when  booking a table for dinner,  there was no recognition at all of this special occasion.  Our son had contacted the hotel to arrange flowers in our room and was told they couldn't do this. There seems to be no-one with a vested interest in making sure guests are well looked after. Dinner served by youngsters who got my husband's choice wrong. No information in our room on arrival so didn't even know what time breakfast was served.  This hotel has no soul. The restaurant and bar are only open Friday and Saturday evenings.  The food was unexciting.  Would never stay again. 

Not a great stay

Beautiful room with stylish gothic decor and slipper bath as well as a shower in the bathroom.
Service and attention to detail was immaculate and very friendly. Excellent catering for my diet being gluten free and dairy free.
We were informed ahead of our stay that the pub would not be open during our stay. However, we enjoyed our picnic with wine, on the suntrap patio chatting with other guests. One evening, we enjoyed a delicious and well presented meal , accompanied by Pembrokeshire cider at their sister pub, the Carew Inn a few miles  away.

Delightful hotel catering for dietary requirements 

We had been staying in Tenby and decided to have a drive out for evening meal and happened across this place, popped in to check we were ok with a pooch and without booking and told yes! Given a great table, lovely calming music quietly playing and a bowl of water for the four legged friend
The food was absolutely delicious and great value for your surroundings, drinks were great and dessert tasted home made-what a real gem 
The lovely young hostess ( didn’t get a name) with the very long hair was so helpful , nothing too much trouble polite and chatty , left her a nice tip which we hope she received in full as she is more than worth it ! 
If you get the opportunity to call in , perhaps book , but maybe get lucky like we did , it was a Wednesday evening around 6pm , would highly recommend.

Little gem

What a wonderful place to eat and drink. Good selection of wines and beers plus Black Dragon cider, a Welsh cider from Gwynt y Draig worth sampling. Food excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming adding to the overall dining experience with a specific mention for Logan who looked after us so well during our stay. We stayed in 2 Tudor Lodge a self catering house for 6 situated next to the Lodge. Great for our grandchildren too.

Couldn’t ask for more



It's a beautiful pub with 5 en suite rooms. I loved Tudor decor dotted around! The Tudor period has always been a favourite era of mine, well probably due to it being my Mum's! Books around the house about them so it naturally became one of mine. I even had facetime her to show her round. 

They were fantastic, extremely helpful and knowledgeable.  I was advised that mash and veg had been prepared without any milk due to my visiting which I thought was just amazing and very thoughtful! 
 
We chose to share a starter of breads with olives which was stunning! The olives with the sun dried tomatoes was just 👌 the husband even enjoyed the gf bread!

I chose the pork belly and the husband as always chose the creamiesy option! He always chooses options filled with milk or gluten as he doesn't get to have that at home! 😂🙈

Roman is still in the mega fussy stage so we literally orderes him sausages and they brought him Ketchup in a little dish, which he adored!!

I cannot fault here at all, the chap who served us was just fab! Mega friendly, nothing was too much trouble and I felt so safe eating here! Another pin of safe places in Pembrokeshire! 

This is totally on my list to visit again or possibly even stay at!


Very helpful for gluten and dairy free

we stayed here for 1 night and everything was very good,a lot of time and money must have been spent on the accommodation has it is to a very high standard the staff were very helpful and pleasant and the food was superb.we will certainly be visiting again later in the year many thanks for a lovely stay

short stay

we stayed at Tudor Lodge for one night, we were not disappointed with the accommodation, of a very high standard, the food was exceptional  , and the staff were very courteous  and helpful, would stay here again,
 the only down side, there are no sockets for charging mobile phones  ect , altho if you ask at the bar the staff will probably find a charging plug,

a nice venue

On our tour of Wales, we had booked two nights in two rooms here. The rooms are in the annex building and so far away from the restaurant. There is no beautiful view, but since the rooms are new and modern, everything is really very clean, and the beds are so comfortable, that's the bottom line. We were at unusually high temperatures up to 30 degrees in Wales, so unfortunately, the rooms were just as hot. So drink a cool beer or a delicious cider in the garden first. Good food at the restaurant, we both had a satisfying dinner.

If you enter the address of the hotel in the Navi, you end up in the neighboring area, but after a short search you find the hotel. The staff is very friendly and breakfast is like almost everywhere on the continent and in Wales. The heating was a little strange. In the 0 position it got so hot that you could fry your breakfast stew on it yourself and on the 5 it would still heat it cooler. All in all, but very good.
