Stopped off on our way to our nearby holiday let.  It was early evening.  Staff were very welcoming and courteous.  The meal we ordered was substantial and perfectly cooked (Fish and Chips followed by desserts).  As we dined quite a few customers started to arrive for a party further back in the dining area,  Despite this the service we had remained impeccable and personal.   Wholeheartedly recommend.

Robin Hood was a great stopover during our recent walk on Hadrians Wall. Accommodation and food was great. Robin Hood also offer their own brewed options. We stayed in a room and there were wild camping options too. Breakfast set us up for the day

Great stopover for Hadrians Wall walking 

Went to the restaurant for Sunday lunch. 
Waited almost half an hour before the meal arrived.
Yorkshire puddings were too well done.
Beef tough and cut too thickly
Roast potatoes not browned
Carrots and cabbage under cooked
The portion sizes and variety of vegetables given fell well short of what you have served on previous visits.
Sweets were diabolically small.
The lack of interest shown by staff resulted in no customer service.
Finally in view of the above it was far too expensive.
Although I have been several times I will not be visiting again.


Appauling

We stayed here while doing Hadrian's Wall Path. This was our best Inn, hands down! We stayed in Room 1, very attractive room and furnishings. Well maintained and spotless. Our view from our room was very nice, pastures and sheep. The road noise was a bit loud at times, so we had too shut our window at night. That is obviously beyond their control. It wasn't a bother for us, but if you are a light sleeper you may want to ask to be away from the road. The bathroom was very clean with a large bathtub. We did make use of that after a long walking day. Much needed. 
 We ate in the pub for dinner and breakfast was included. Dinner was steak and ale pie, excellent! Beer, Excellent! Breakfast was exceptional, full english. We were the only guests that night, so the cook had to spend the night just to make our breakfast. I did feel bad about that, but I'm glad he did...great breakfast. 
 We found all the staff helpful and friendly. Kath was very helpful, even when she was very busy. We appreciated the ability to maintain being pleasant and professional even when you are being overwhelmed by a very busy pub.
 We enjoyed our stay/meal here so much, that after we finished the Wall and rented a car for the rest of our trip, we drove back to the Robin Hood for Sunday Roast which was delicious!

Best Inn/Pub on the Wall

 My son was getting married at vallum farm over the road , I had booked 3 cabins they where all spotless ,  we were took around to cabins  ,I could park my car outside it  ,nothing was a bother to any of the staff , the cooked breakfast was bloody amazing we had extra juice coffee ,tea . 
All of us thank you very much from  Maddie ,Tracy ,Jane penny ,cyd & not forgetting pat , we all said we would go back to stay again .  So peaceful 
 if I could of I would of stayed another night 😁.
Thank you to jo ,cath & bill for making our stay very enjoyable  , don't alter a thing

We come here once in a while for  special occasions. 
Came on a Sunday at 3pm. The restaurant was busy withba lively atmosphere. 
We were escortedntona booth by the happy band welcoming staff.
There was a choice of Sunday lunch, with a choice of various different meats, as well as a few other options.
I went for fish and home made chips with mushy peas, very nice.
Others had the Sunday lunch  1 beef,  1 pork.
They came with good potions of meat and plenty of veg (lots of different veg) and a Yorkshire pudding. 
One of our party had little appetite due to medication so only wanted a piece of smoked haddock (on it's own with no veg or mash etc) which was no problem to the staff.
All in all we had a great time, lovely food served by friendly,  hard working staff in a great atmosphere. 
The only slight downside was that some of the beef was a bit chewy but apart from that spot on. 
We will be back.


Fantastic 

Went for Sunday Lunch today. 
Wow absolutely fantastic, in fact, both my wife and myself have probably just ate the best Sunday Lunch in any pub we have been to. Also had pudding, equally as good. 
The staff and service was second to none.

One not to miss.

This pub looks to be in the middle of nowhere but is, in fact, on the Hadrian's Wall path. They serve excellent food, all day, and have several real ales. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This is not a pub food menu but rather more sophisticated. Great find, just avoid the coffee, it's awful!

Little Gem

Booked a table for a family meal to celebrate a 30th and 90th birthday. The staff were very accommodating and attentive, despite having a large coach load of guests as well. The food was delicious also. 
And in a world where pubs are being bought by chains and the insides turned into a carbon copy of each other, The RHI returns it's personality as an old-world style pub with a cosy interior, fireplaces, comfy furniture and a homely atmosphere.

We had a Excellent stay here why doing hadrians wall from bowness to Wallsend the food was excellent I had the fish and chips which was amazing very friendly owners breakfast was excellent aswell would stay again last order's were at 9pm but it was a Sunday and after walking 23 miles was happy to go to bed and the room had a bath and a shower so happy days
