My husband,my dog Honey and I stayed here for one night
We had a lovely stay. Had dinner here the Steak for my husband and accommodated his request for an off menu salad and I had the chilli. It was all freshly cooked and was very nice.
The breakfast was absolutely fantastic the sausages were possibly the best, perfectly poached eggs served with tomatoes, bacon and beans. This was my choice but there were other options available.
I would highly recommend this pub and the B&B

This is a hotel in a lovely position where we stayed as a small group of walking friends for the weekend. Our experience was unfortunately spoiled by the landlady, who was incredibly unpleasant and rude. Her manner at breakfast was so abrupt and unfriendly, it was hard to remember we were actually paying guests. She was also insulting when we politely and quietly queried a minor price discrepancy as we had booked through Booking.com.  
I expect she will now say that we were the ones at fault and were rude (as she has done in previous reviews!) - make up your own mind.

If you want a Fawlty Towers experience, this is for you! If not, there are other places to stay in Minehead.

Unpleasant and very rude landlady

My partner and myself came down to Minehead for a much needed break and came across the Quay Inn for Sunday lunch. He had the pork and I had the beef, both meats and sides were cooked to absolute perfection, even better washed down with some Red Devon cider! After reading a couple of the past reviews, I have to completely disagree, Collete was very welcoming. Not only did she make room for a late Sunday lunch booking, she was also accomadating when I explained that I have a couple of food allergies and I felt very reassured (I have had a couple of bad experiences in the past) and was very grateful. We also popped in yesterday for a couple of drinks and enjoyed sitting in the sun in the pub garden for the better halfs birthday - perfect! Extra special mention to Danny behind the bar, truly a lovely and very chilled man. Thank you both for the experience, we will absolutely be back and recommend you to our lot back home and send them your way :) All the best! 

Cracking pub!

My parents have just left your lovely pub. 
They cannot thank you all enough for such a wonderful 9 nights.
From checking in nothing was too much trouble. Their cases were taken up to the room. 
The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The sea view super. 
Breakfasts were plentiful and could be mixed and matched as required. Cereals and toast etc were also available daily. 
My mum and dad want to say a special thank you to Sarah who was wonderful. 
Also a thank you to the owner Collette. 
Would my parents stay again? 
Absolutely! 
The Quay is friendly, clean , welcoming and extremely good value . 
5* accommodation and service . 
The Quay Inn is highly recommended and a great place to stay.

Wonderful Quay Inn

Beautiful room with a sea view, breakfast was lovely very tasty. We even drank drank and played pool in the bar x It’s dog friendly, the landlady Collette has a wicked dry sense of humour and doesn’t suffer fools gladly !

We had a lovely time we would recommend and would go back and stay there again x

Comfy enjoyable great food !

This hotel isn’t far away from us we’ve been there quite a few times and got to know Collette and Danny always been made welcome and the food especially the breakfast well wow the sausages the best you can get and our dog Bertie can’t wait to get on the outside of them the rooms spotless and sea views lovely we took photos in the morning keep on doing what you both do more than satisfied xxx

A special place

Came in for another evening meal and must say yet again they score 5 out of 5. The steak was cooked to perfection. Meal was outstanding. The Quay Inn is a fantastic place offering rooms for every budget. There is a reason why Collette and the team won Channel 4 Four in a bed. You are welcomed by Collette, Danny, Sarah and the team when you take your first step in the pub. Fantastic customer service. Darts, pool, TV is available and the view is amazing. Definitely worth popping in and grab a meal. The team will be happy to see you. 

Great food, great company, great drink. What more do you need. 

Stayed for a night at The Quay with my 3 adult children .
Rooms excellent. Clean and comfy . Very spacious and up to date decor.
Breakfast 10/10 🤓
Roast lunch was fabulous and great value .

Excellent rooms, breakfast and Sunday roast lunch !

So,after I fully paid our booking,I read the reviews , and read some bad reviews and it's worries me, so the only thing I can do is to wait and see when we got there.the place is OK, our bedroom got a balcony with Seaview, and my daughter like her bedroom,very basic but clean. So I can say not bad for the price we paid.breakfast is normal breakfast,we enjoyed it,very fulfilling. The staff ( I've only seen 2 for 2nights stay) they both friendly enough.the landlady for me is just a friendly kind of person.
For the bad reviews here,all I can say is don't expect too much and when we friendly enough to others your stay will always be a happy one.x
If you ask me if am coming back to Quay inn? Defo,as long as I have the same room,as I love my views and walking by the seaside in the early morning walk.

Room with a view

I Have visited minehead numerous amount of times but i do find the high street more suited to hen parties and stags. This time i opted to stay at the quay inn which is quay side away from the high street .Oh my god ,it was like a different world .A far cry from the main high street .So quite and relaxing .We had the pleasure of the family room with sea front balcony beautiful.Exceptionally clean and perfectly set up.The food was awesome after our first evening meal it was obvious there was no need to look any further "HANDY" The breakfast was just perfect"where did they get those sausage mmm" the hosts collette and danny where a delight .It was easy too see how this place won channel 4s four in a bed. Would i stay there again ? NO DOUBT and will just a wonderful stay
