If you like nature, this is the perfect place to stay; cozy cottages with all facilities, like a kitchen, fridge, stove bathroom, sitting room, and a porch. This was in the winter, but in summer you can have a complimentary breakfast, there is a  parking space for the car. It is close to town shopping centre very staff. There is even a  laundry service. I enjoyed my stay

Lovely place, in a beautiful setting with lovely views. Ashley was a great host, showed me everything when i arrived. You can use all facilities downstairs, encluding fresh milk available. I had a double room at front of b&b. Was lovely and clean, quiet, great sleep

Great place, room clean and with big shower. Soundproof could not hear any outside noise. Friendly host and delicious breakfast. Really lovely view and next to county park. Great for relaxing stay or place to sleep for hiking in the area.  Highly recommended.

Great Place

My family and I have used Cwmbach Cottages a few times this year and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.  Laurence and Ashleigh are friendly and helpful hosts.  Lovely location and close to family in Neath.  Perfect stay near lovely walks and easy access to the Gower, canal walks, waterfalls and lovely views from the cottage.  There is a three bed large cottage all en suite which I have used with my family in August and also the one bed cottage.  All have outside seating areas with views.  There is also a B&b accommodation.  Will be returning whenever visiting family.

Although the owner's son Ashley who seems to run the guest house and self catering units was friendly and responded to the various issues that arose in our unit we found the chalet (one of four units - a large cottage and three smaller attached chalets) to be very cramped . The unit is dated although it had what was needed in the small galley kitchen and it benefited from a small outside private decking area with a patio table and chairs.  We sat out for an hour or two on the evening we arrived - until the neighbours in the large cottage attached started smoking cannabis in their garden at which point it was too unpleasant to remain  outside and we had to close the patio door to prevent the stench entering inside too.  

He seems to rent the large cottage to three local workers and one of the smaller units to another and they get up at 0530 every morning waking us in the process due to the ongoing issues with loud screeching water flow from the ceiling tank above our unit (No 2) due to a faulty ballcock valve - which when we complained after our first night he duly tried to repair and kindly refunded our first night fee.  Unfortunately exactly the same thing happened at 0537 on the following morning and during our use of our shower at 8am.  The water supply for the showers is I believe shared and comes from one tank as we were instructed to switch on the immersion heater outside the front door to ensure a sufficient supply (which we did). 

After two rude awakenings in the early hours we decided to leave a day early and drive the 6 hours home so I sent him a text message to explain.

Guest rooms where I stayed was a clean house with facilities provided. Staff was very helpful. It had enough parking for 3 cars. Living room is big enough with 3 sofas and a great view. Each room had all the mentioned facilities provided

Great house at an amazing location

The location was very private, which we liked. The rooms were spacious & clean, and offered wonderful views. We had a lovely full English breakfast sitting outside in beautiful weather surrounded by the ponds. We were even given some old bits of bread to feed the fish, which our son thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this guesthouse to any and everyone.

Lovely, relaxing, thoroughly enjoyable long weekend break in South Wales

a friend and I needed one night's accommodation plus an early breakfast on  the Sunday morning, the management and staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming in arranging a comfortable en-suite room and a quick full English breakfast so we could be on our way to an event. As others have said, wonderful peaceful location.

Short but sweet

Booked a 1 bedroom lodge and a double room in the bed and breakfast to attend a family christening. 
What a beautiful place. 
The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The lodge was spotless, fully equipped, including a dishwasher and access to a laundry room, comfortable and had a beautiful patio area. 
The room was spotlessly clean,  comfortable and came with a huge bathroom. 
The full English breakfast was lovely and there was also a choice of cereals, yoghurts,  jams etc. What more could you want. 
On the whole Cymbach is amazing value and will be our go to place when visiting relatives. 
Can't recommend it highly enough.
