This is cheap no thrills student accommodation being marketed through Booking.com for £100 a night. It was the only accommodation on offer in Cornwall which is the only reason we didn’t walk right out again. Friendly enough staff let you in, joked about how the place was like a prison, and when shown the room realise it isn’t entirely a prison. There’s a shared kitchen for self catering but this isn’t cleaned - I gagged when I opened the fridge door. No one has cleaned it in weeks. You have to park on neighbouring streets which annoys the locals, and as you’re right on the station platform there’s noise of trains from 6am. There’s no hand gels signs or any suggestion we might be in the midst of a pandemic - which is clearly what they’re capitalising on. Each set of arriving visitors look crestfallen when shown through the gate expecting to be staying in a hotel - the place should only be used for what it was built for, emergency student accommodation.

This is student accommodation! Someone is making a fast buck renting rooms in a student halls. Not nice at all I did student life 15 years ago and never again. Dirty kitchen from previous people in dorm. Shower certainly hadn’t been cleaned when there was long ginger hairs in it. (I’m bald) 
£100 deposit to be paid on arrival. In tiny tiny print of booking.com form. Avoid at all costs. Nothing in room apart from a swivel chair desk and bed (£100 for what?)

This accommodation is student halls of residence. Its basic, which I dont mind if the price reflects that but the price per night is similar to b and b's/hotels. 
Positive of staying here is the location is good for getting to most parts of cornwall.
Negatives are there is no parking. We spent most nights driving up and down the nearby streets trying to find a space to park. It takes a long time to be checked in as you have to wait for someone to come and meet you. The bed is uncomfortable. Only 1 towel was provided for 2 guests.

Basic accommodation for a standard price

£100 deposit that is written in very small letters, (which I completely missed) and when I asked for a list of what the deposit covers and how much would be deducted in case of demages the person on the phone said to the one doing the check in that if we didn't want to pay I could leave the property (I had a nonrefundable booking), and took quite a long time to give me any information on what the deposit covers.
* Drop box to insert IDs quite useless as they not only take a picture of it again when you check in (someone that I don't either trust or not has a pic of our passports in his mobile phone), but also doesn't seem to register the info privided. After informing our arrival time on the drop-box system, I was send an email asking for it again, and after replying I was called asking for arrival time.
* Booked and paid through booking.com and was asked for credit card picture. (?)
* We were a group of 3 and booked 2 rooms together, we were allocated in two different floors and when we asked to be moved once again we were told through the person doing the check in that if we don't want the rooms in different floors we could leave.
* Check in took a long time as the person manaing it did not have any information or power to manage and when trying to clarify with the office, he himself had trouble getting answers.
* 1 small towel per room, even in a room ocupied by 2. Not shower mat or hand towel.
* Hand soap bar from previous guest left on the sink.🤮
* 1 room without toilet paper.
* Other room without toiletries.
* Room without a chair.
* Comunal kitchen is disgusting, for 3 nights the kitchen bin never been emptied.
* Bed without mattress protector 🤮
* Bed not a normal double, not fit for 2 people.
* Parking is an issue. There are only around 10 spaces at the station, only if you lucky you can find one. There is free parking on the road, but once again, I only found space on the road nearby once.
