St Day is an interesting village and the Cedars a very relaxing place to stay.
Our room was spacious with a good bathroom and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and I really liked watching the family of ducks in the garden. Dave and Janet are very welcoming. Definitely recommended.

What can I say , the best B & B we have stayed in for a long time , everything was perfection. Thank you Janet & David. Breakfast both mornings was well presented and cooked perfect. Room was cosy and bed comfotable


Brilliant stay

Overall an excellent B&B with a good room and wonderful breakfast.  Our stay was made all the better by fantastic and very helpful hosts. Strongly recommend this B&B.  We were cycling the West Kernow Way. Stay here, if you are cycling.

Excellent B&B, good rooms, great breakfast, fantastic hosts

Stayed one night at the cost of £100! Not cheap at all. 
We were sent a email to see if we were still going which was ridiculous because who would not go when you pay this amount of money for one night.
The bedroom bedside lights were far to bright and needed some dimmer ones put in. There was no air conditioning or even a fan in the room so it was really warm especially with it being a hot Summers night. Not a comfortable night. 
Was told breakfast was up to 9.15am and  that they wanted to get it all done by this time. We thought it was early they finished breakfast as other b and b’s finished at 10am. It was like it was a big chore for them to do it but don’t they don’t mind taking your money.
The conservatory were the breakfast was served was very warm. Again no air conditioning or fans around. All the windows were shut and it was uncomfortable hearing everyone eat because it was so quiet without any background sound. They could at least of had the radio on just to kill the silence so I did not enjoy the breakfast one bit because of this. 
I would not go again as the owners are only interested in getting your money and felt like even making the breakfast was to much work for them. 
Should not run a b and b then!



To expensive, not worth it

Stayed for a couple of nights at one of the deluxe style rooms, with a nice view of the garden, which I was also able to experience during breakfast.
Local amenities include a couple of stores, and a pub, all within walking distance.
Getting in and out of the car park can be tricky but had no issues.
Worth staying at for a short break.

Very good stay

Returned to The Cedars after our visit last year. One of the best B and B’s we have stayed in. 
The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The full English breakfast has got to be the best around by a long shot. The beautiful garden with it’s resident ducks is an added bonus. Janet and David are lovely hosts. We would definitely recommend The Cedars. 

Fantastic B and B

We stayed here this weekend for one night as we were in cornwall for a wedding. We had the most fantastic stay. The house is set on the most beautiful grounds, with stunning gardens and views of the surrounding areas. 

The room was spacious and meticulously clean! The shower was fantastic and the beds were SO comfortable. We both had the best nights sleep we’ve had in ages. 

Janet & David gave us the warmest welcome and let us check in early so that we could quickly get changed before heading to the wedding. This was so kind of them. Nothing was too much trouble. 

The breakfast was wonderful. So tasty and more than adequate in size. The duck eggs were beautiful. The homemade jam is a must try! I wanted to bring some home with me! We sat outside in the sun to eat and could have stayed there all day enjoying the peace & quiet and amazing view. 

We will definitely be back and would recommend anybody to stay here and see for yourselves! If we could give more stars we would! ⭐️ thank you Janet & David.

You have to stay here!

I am just about to book my third visit back to the cedars! I last visited in august last year and had such a wonderful stay (again!). Janet and David are so welcoming and friendly - we always feel at home here. Breakfast is always delicious and we all enjoy the home made preserves and jams they have to offer too (plenty of food to keep hungry bellies satisfied until lunch- and beyond!). We particularly enjoy the grounds… watching the ducks run around the garden from our window is something we always look forward to!
The room and property itself is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The cedars is always our first choice when staying in Cornwall. I can’t wait to return! Thank you Janet and David for your fantastic hospitality 😊

The best bed and breakfast in Cornwall !!!

My dad and I stayed at The Cedars during our bike-packing trip of the West Kernow Way. We had had an extremely wet and cold ride that day and had to cut our route short a little, meaning we arrived at the B&B a couple hours earlier than planned. Luckily, Janet was there only a few minutes after us and she welcomed us in such a friendly and warm manner. She straightaway offered to hang up all our soggy kit in her airing cupboard and it was toasty dry and ready for us in the morning. The room was cosy and comfortable, perfect for what we needed and the helpful recommendation of eating at The Star Inn in Vogue meant we were able to get a warm meal on such a miserable evening. Janet was so attentive throughout our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed, including a dry and locked area for our very muddy bikes overnight. This definitely put our minds at ease and meant the only thing we needed to worry about was being ready for our next day's ride. Breakfast was a great continental selection and perfectly poached eggs - ideal fuel for our day's adventure. I couldn't recommend a stay at The Cedars more - to anyone wanting a home away from home atmosphere with lovely hosts!

Friendly, welcoming and attentive host!

My wife Pam & I stayed for a week in early September. The room was spacious, with en-suite facilities. and was clean & cosy. It looked out over the spacious well-kept garden, with ducks running about. 
The breakfast offered a good choice, including the traditional English Breakfast, served in a well laid out conservatory, also looking out on to the garden. (If the weather had been a bit warmer, we would have had it outside on the decking). 
Janet & David, our hosts were excellent looking after us & helpful on places to eat locally & places to visit. 
The Cedars, with ample off-road parking, was very central for our days out, to many of Cornwall's sights & attractions.
