Myself and member of my staff stayed here Monday for 2nights due to on going work around Swansea,The place is just idea location for what ever way you heading.  The rooms was clean and spacious john was a great host and nothing was a problem, the breakfast and meals offered  in evening was superb couldn't fault it .I'm was happy with my stay and service I received from all staff there we return back to Swansea on 21st and I definitely booking to stay there again. Thanks you.

FANTASTIC FAMILY HOTEL

The room was clean and nice, but there were a few small issues that could easily be fixed. The plant in our room was dead. A metal structure hung above our bed, which rattled every time a door was closed or someone took a heavy step within the building. There was also a green light that couldn't be turned off. We assumed the green light was for some kind of safety, but it was too bright to sleep. The bar was very loud and walls very thin. The corridor was very tired. We don't want to detract away from the amazing staff who made us feel very welcome!

My sister and I stayed here at the Ynysmeudwy Arms for the weekend a short while back.

The Ynysmeudwy Arms

Stayed with my family and 2 other couples for an event in the area, for 2 nights over Bank Holiday weekend. Excellent value for money overall.Fantastic service.
Modernised bar and restaurant with large rooms. Lovely play area outside for young children. Loads of parking available. Bunk bed was loved by my daughter. Lovely spread of coffee, tea, hot choc etc. Really good value for money.

Negatives - my room had either scolding hot or freezing cold water when I showered at night (Room 1). No bedside lamps for reading once main light was off. Double bed was uncomfortable so I slept in bottom bunk instead. Road noise was very loud which hampered sleep. Maybe a fan could be offered for guests when it is warm, so that window can be closed to drown out road traffic?

Some great things, some disappointing things.

Arrived at 20:30, the kitchen had closed, off to the shop to buy some food and the bar had closed at 21:00, the TV didn't work. A comfortable night's sleep in a clean room , but then further disappointed there was no breakfast.

Don't bother

We went for a meal and a few drinks as a family. The service was good and the staff were friendly to be fair. Prices seem’d reasonable enough and service was prompt. However I had quite a surprise when my food arrived. The others had their food brought first, the fish was of a good size as was the steak one of us had ordered. When they brought my meal out I was quite shocked at the number of chips with my chicken. I actually counted them, there were 9 and a few small bits, the dregs. I counted a second time just in case but no mistake it was still just the 9 chips and 4 small bits. The food itself was very nice but 9 chips is not good enough. Needless to say I finished before everyone else and my wife even offered me some of her fish because she could see I was still hungry, I declined though. On the way home later on we stopped in a chip shop. Very disappointing to say the least 

Small portions

We stayed here in July 2019 to attend the Stereophonics gig in Swansea. For the price, you really can't complain. We were allowed to check in slightly early so we could get in and get down to Sketty early. Met by a really friendly girl in the restaurant where the food was fab. Our first time having Glamorgan sausages that were served quickly and tasted amazing. The room looked like it had recently been done up and was very modern. Nice bathroom although some of the fittings were corroding and paint bubbling- not a problem. There appeared to be some staining on the wall in the bathroom but again, how long does one spend in the bathroom looking at the walls. My only two bits of constructive criticism is that perhaps the hotel should invest in blackout curtains. I was woken up various times between 6-7.30am as the sunshine was penetrating both the blinds and curtains. Secondly, porridge made with hot water and packeted croissants aren't really my thing so we had to travel elsewhere for breakfast- but that's personal preference. Overall, everyone was really nice and if I were staying in the area again, I would seriously consider Ynysmeudwy Arms.

Excellent little pub B&B

A very friendly pub with an amazing room everything you could possibly need.and more spotless clean comfortable bed. I’m a beautiful village in South Wales . I definitely will return and maybe climb that mountain ....

Wonderful

Had our annual Christmas lunch on Sunday what a fab meal the food was cooked to our liking the staff are the best very friendly and professional they had singer there who was very good love going to this pub thank you girls really enjoyed
