We brought our elderly friend back to the island to reminisce and show us where he was brought up. This was a great wee place to go back to and relax after a long day. We where very fortunate to get room 5 with is the front room with its own sitting area and a beautiful view both in the morning and night.  The room was clean and tidy  The breakfast was very nice and set us up for the day. 
There was only one downside,  the stairs to room 5 where a killer(view made up for it)

Warm and friendly 

This is one of the best small Hotels I have ever stayed in. Location is excellent - 5-10 mins walk from the town centre and with stunning views of the sea and the ferries sailing past yet so quiet and peaceful. Irene greeted me on arrival and explained to me how things work. Her and Andrew were extremely attentive and have thought of just about everything. I stayed for two nights in a lovely clean cosy single room with gorgeous sea views. The breakfast was amazing. Nice touches were toiletries, a robe and hair straighteners. I am already planning my next trip to Rothesay and can't wait to book into the Bayview again.

location excellent 10 min walk from pier, host Irene, very welcoming, large clean room with hairdryer and straighteners and toiletries, we had sea view which was amazing, great selection for breakfast and very enjoyable stay, would def return

Once again we found Irene to be an excellent host.  View from the room just gorgeous and an ideal base from which to explore the island.  Breakfasts as good as I remember - cooked to order.  Excellent value for money.

Great place to stay

Very well run small hotel - 10 room I think - with a well thought out and unobtrusive Covid precautions.  Very welcoming lady there to greet arrival and explain procedures.  Excellent breakfast including fresh fruit salad and well-cooked usuals. Exceptionally clean everywhere - good thick towels, toiletries in room, tea, coffee etc in room, wifi, TV, comfortable bed.  Wonderful views over Rothesay and Cowal hills.

Great hotel for short break

Stayed here when visiting Bute last week. Great location and views from our large seafront  bedroom on the first floor. Very clean and comfortable. Well cooked tasty breakfast. Plenty of tea, coffee etc for bedroom. Covid procedures taken very seriously and felt safe and secure. Would recommend. 

Very good accommodation

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Bayview hotel at the end of August. Having read the reviews before booking, we had high expectations and we were not disappointed. The location is ideal, with it being around just ten minutes walk from the centre of Rothesay. We stayed in a super king size sea view room and what an amazing view it was. The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The bedding and towels were excellent quality and the little extras provided were a very welcome touch. Breakfast was a delight, with a varied choice to suit everyone and everything was cooked to perfection. We sat outside on a couple of evenings, enjoying the calming view with a drink from the bar. Nothing was too much trouble for Irene and Andrew, every request was met with a cheerful and genuinely positive response. They have created a wee gem of a place and I can’t recommend it highly enough. They are a lovely couple and a perfect team. Thanks to both for our very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

A Gem of a Place

A lovely place to stay to visit this lovely island. Impeccably clean! Wonderful host and a good breakfast choice. Near to Rothesay and great views of the bay. Small B N B so not a hotel in the traditional sense but still felt like you can come and go as you please.

Lovely view

This was a nice hotel at a reasonable price. 
The bed was big and really comfortable in a double room at the back of the property and breakfast was very good.   
Staff were all freindly.
The veiw from the front of the hotel is lovely, you can sit out front with a drink and watch the sun go down, which we done both nights we were there.
Covid measures in place also.

Nice, comfortable hotel.

Lovely hotel on waters front with great views across the bay. Not too far and a nice walk to the town. 
Lovely clean room and very comfortable.  Good breakfast and staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely consider staying her when returningto Bute.
