Comfortable stay with them. Clean and great breakfast. The service, heating, staff & the price was all great. All-in-all 5 out of 5. Shower was very good also. The staff were friendly and I stayed in room 11 for 3 days

Great stay at the Diamond in Rugby

Upon arrival, we were informed that our room had been double-booked. No apology was given for the mix-up and when breakfast was asked about, we were told that it was not included. Given the earlier problem, you would expect a self-respecting b&b to make up for any such issue by offering to include the breakfast at no extra cost.

When we tried to negotiate with the owner, owing to *his* earlier mistake, he got defensive and rude and tried to cancel the room booking, rather than owning up to his error and doing the right thing. He eventually gave us a measly £5 total discount.

The shower was uncomfortably small and had hairs in it. There was no milk for tea or coffee. 

We won't be returning. 

Double-booked & rude owner

We stayed for one night. The proprietor was very helpful. The place was clean and the breakfast was excellent. For the price it was a good overnight stay. We will book this b&b next time we go to Rugby.

Really not good very out of date didn’t get much sleep due to the fridge buzzing all night water pipes banging and to to it all the road noise I would never stay here again beds were not very comfortable if I was not in the area working I would have walked in and walked out

I would not recommend this 'hotel' (loose term ) at all.
Utterly Grim.  Would work as a Theme Hotel for one of those hotels you see in a Horror film.
The room smelt of dried urine.  The decor was appalling.  Felt grubby and tired. Daren't look under the bed.  The one cup in the room was dirty.
Dirty in places in the room and didnt want to put my things on any surface. Unwelcoming attitude from the owners too.  
Couldnt wait to leave.  It will go down in history as the most horrendous of places to stay ever!

Stayed for one night for a wedding. Check in at 12.30 was really helpful. The room was small but with en-suite. Deco was very dated but the room was clean and had everything you’d need. It was a bit noisy - hearing other people up and down the stairs and creaky floors!  The staff were really friendly and helpful - plus it was cheap!

Basic but friendly staff!

Do not stay here. Managed 10 minutes in the room with my wife and daughter!! It smelt musty, damp and mouldy. The walls were wet (in August), the furniture was filthy, the tv was tiny, there was clutter in the lounge area, it was shocking.
Should not be open.
My daughter refused to take her mask off and stated she would sleep in the car.
We left!@

Go somewhere else .this is a terrible hotel... The place needs refurbishing and cleaning 
After being shown 3 rooms all awful we walked out .
How this hotel has some of the reviews is ridiculous and the spelling errors make us think they are written by the staff.

Arrived to find a dirty room with mould in the bathroom and all round the window

Stayed here for 4 very uncomfortable nights. We had arranged to arrive around 4pm; arrived to find no staff and no access to the building. We were told, after calling the phone number, that they were not going to be there until 40 mins later. Not helpful when we were working on site and couldn't get away until much later. When we did get to the 'hotel', we were greeted by a gentleman who was pleasant enough. We were taken to our room and left. The room itself was large enough but the sink was in the sleeping area rather than in the shower area, the tiniest tv and the biggest window in the world (taking up a whole wall). There was cobwebs in every corner,  retro wood chip wall paper with the obligatory peeling areas, mould in the toilet/shower room and a toilet flush that was near impossible to flush due to the broken handle. 
The mattress was so hard, it may as well have been made of stone and so a comfortable sleep was evidential in existant.
Apparently, food was available along with a laundry service but as I only found this out via the website (no welcome booklet with information, fire evaluation procedures etc was available) on the 3rd night, I am unable to assess this 'service'.
I would highly recommend that you go 200yds down the rd to any other hotel in Rugby rather than staying here. 

Awful, uncomfortable, dirty 

Only stayed for one night and couldn’t of been happier. 
We had an early wedding to attend and ringing Simon on Friday he said no problem we’ll give you a early check in. Turned up, friendly welcome and straight into room. Very clean and tidy, comfy bed and great breakfast. Location is great, five minute walk to town.
