Lovely B&B with great attention to detail. Fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa in your room daily. Comfortable room and bed, which was nice & warm after a day in the elements. Marion & Ian were fantastic hosts with good local knowledge, warm, friendly and hospitable. Good breakfast selection setting you up nicely for the day. We will definitely be back.

A ray of sunshine in the good old British weather

Not our first visit and certainly won't be our last.
Ian and Marion are wonderful hosts, the rooms are amazing, the location is peaceful and Ians breakfasts are delicious.
Could not find fault with anything. Highly recommend. 

Gorgeous B&B

We stayed at Springwood 8-10th September 2023 in the Dunstanburgh room which has a balcony overlooking the fields; it was lovely sitting with a glass of wine watching the horses grazing in the fields. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a great en suite bathroom. The house is situated in a village setting and is very quiet and peaceful, but you are only a 10 minute walk from Seahouses. The breakfast was lovely, with enough choices for everyone. The hosts, Ian and Marion were very welcoming and friendly. We prebooked evening meals at the Old Ship inn and the Insieme Italian restaurant. This is on a good bus route and is a great base for local walks.

Loved our stay at springwood b&b. Ian was the perfect host, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Property close enough to walk into seahouses but far enough away that you are guaranteed a peaceful night

Great short break

Great two night stay at Springwood, gorgeous setting, easy to walk to town/harbour with lots of shops and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and had fantastic views, beautiful cooked breakfast (thanks Ian!), visited Bambugh Castle which is well worth a trip out while in the area, would highly recommend this lovely B n B to anyone staying in Seahouses and would definitely return! 

Beautiful B n B in Seahouses

I cannot fault this lovely, small, B&B. This is the 3rd time we have stayed and the standards are as high as ever. Great rooms, kept immaculately clean, comfy bed, fridge, kettle etc. Breakfasts are cooked to order and very high quality. Combine this with friendly owners and you have a little gem. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when in the area.  

As good as it ever was

This is our second visit to Seahouses and Springwood, and it was just as good as we remember. The room was lovely with a balcony where you could see for miles ( most of the time) and watch the horses in the fields over a lovely G&T late in the afternoon. The breakfast was beautiful and set us up for a day of walking and exploring places like Cragside House which is part of the National Trust and was a fab day out. Ian the owner told us about it at breakfast and we went on his recommendation, we weren’t disappointed. Beadnell Bay was another lovely place to visit, although it was busy at the weekend. We went back in the week and it was very quiet and we walked for miles all round the bay, out kind of walk. We will definitely will be back.

Mini Break

A very friendly welcome as we arrived.  Our room was wonderful. Spotlessly clean. The view is beautiful. The bed was soooo comfy with the softest sheets I have ever slept it. 
Breakfast was really good lovely scrambled eggs. Our host was lovely very friendly. 
Beautiful area we love it here. Thankyou for a wonderful break Springwood is an absolute gem of a place to stay ❤️ 

Absolutely lovely bed n breakfast 

Booked in from 1-3rd November as a birthday trip. Ian was absolutely amazing and made us feel instantly at home. The room was amazing and clean and the massive bed was an added perk! The view was awesome and you could see the sea from the room. The cooked breakfast was so good, and the room was warm and cosy. We will be back! Thank you Ian for such a warm welcome and making us feel at home.

Amazing

We had a fantastic 4 nights last week at Springwood. Lovely room with a view of the horses in the fields and the coastline in the distance. Comfortable bed, great shower, fabulous breakfast to keep you going all day and friendly hosts. Ten minute walk down to all the cafes, pubs and restaurants etc. What more could you want? My only advice is to pre-book your evening meals in Seahouses as everywhere very busy still. Go here and you won’t be disappointed, thank you Ian and family for looking after us both so well!
