My first time here,came with my family and friends with all our children,amazingly friendly staff and gave us free pool and crisps,brilliant experience and would highly recommend,made our Southend trip so much fun!!

my husband and i stayed here never again room was filthy bed linen old towels old you could feel bed spings sticking in you we are not fussy people but this was dreadfull owners were off hand as well  give this place a miss

My boyfriend and I stayed at this b&b,well what can I say,we got there and there was a foreign man screaming at his kids, we brushed this of and went into out room..then the problems got even worse..the room was tiny! We could barely moved! The double bed we had was two singles,which were not even the same height or length,completely different, you couldn't even open the wardrobe because there was counters squashed into the rooms,my boyfriend and I really didn't want to stay there! We rang the women who I suspect owns it,and we said that we didn't like the environment and the room,and oh my...she was so rude to us! Telling us that it's not her fault and she can't to anything about it and that if we left we had to pay a £20 cancelation fee,obviously we knew this but the was she put it made us want to leave more! On the website it looks lovely,and it says 'peaceful and quiet area' WRONG! there was dogs barking all night and 'boy racers' going past every 2seconds! The place was not clean at all and VERY dated! 
overall,we had no where else to go so we stayed,worst nights sleep ever! not clean,not quiet,not comfortable and I didn't feel safe at all because of the angry man next door shouting at everyone! 
I feel bad writing this review,but I never been to a hotel/guest house more like it!

HORRIBLE

just stayed at this B and B and had a great time. Breakfast was lovely and there was off road free parking. Rooms had everything we needed and it is situated right next to beach and shops,
Couple that have it were very friendly and helpful. planning to stay here again.

weekend away

Some of the negative reviews on here beg belief.  We are indeed a nation of whinging poms and moaning minnies!

I recently stayed 3 nights at 45 / night.  For this I got an off-road secure parking spot, a comfy double bed, en-suite, nice TV with remote, wifi, and a nice cooked breakfast with coffee and cereal and orange juice.  The nights were quiet with no noise heard from street or other rooms.  It's a 5 minute walk from sea front and the town centre, and there's an O'Neils music bar a few streets away.   If you want to complain about an occasional hair or spec of dust then take your moaning a@@@e off to a hotel and pay at least twice the price!  I have booked in again next week as I'm on business - I spent hours tracking down this good deal - and I know when I have found one.  The owner was a helpful lady - of course she's busy - running a family and a business!  She even it me leave my car there for a day after check-out for no extra charge.   Nigel G, Wiltshire.
