We were special guests when this hotel was  a Christian  place and had delightful room for the week
The staff were always attentive and excellent.  Some came other European countries.  English was used
The conference facilities were good. The ambiance was warm. The area lovely fir walks and car rides 
We were there  3 times back in the  nineties! I think ownership may have changed so don't know current staff . I ticked  2020 but we were there over 20 years ago!!

I was guest speaker at a Bible conference on 3 occasions

The hotel on the whole was not bad. However I would recommen that you book a room with a view. We were very disappointed with our view of the car park. Asked to move but unable to move due to the hotel being full booked.

Short Stay

4 days here on a short break. Hotel is clean tidy and well run. A complimentary bus tour was a very nice extra which was much appreciated. The running commentary was amusing and informative. The room was clean and bedding of a good standard. The bathroom maybe a little dated but had plenty of hot water and was well supplied with the usual toiletries. 
Meals are of a good quality with well cooked Al a carte menu. Service was swift and efficient.

Super friendly place to stay with fantastic views to the sea- shame it rained the whole time we were there as it looked like there was a lovely coastal walk. The pool outside looked lovely too.
The room was of a good size with a kettle and tea and the bed pretty comfy. Good sized bathroom- shower temperature was a little variable when used but nothing to extreme. Be warned the water is boiling out the tape and there are warnings!!
Breakfast was fantastic- full cooked - traditionally English, kippers eggs however you like them along with lots of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, danish and cheese and ham. You won’t stave! Ordered a nice ploughmans lunch which was very well priced and delicious.
Not a modern hotel but clean and homey. 
Would happily stay again.

Stunning views and breakfast 

We visit Jersey a few times a year and this is one of our favourite hotels.
The location is stunning. The view to sea is uninterrupted and breathtaking. It's just a stroll to Corbiere Lighthouse, which is nice to be able to pop down at any time, or after dark if the tide is far out for a unique romantic stroll. It's an easy walk along the coast to St Brelades Bay or to St Ouens Bay (returning on the bus!)  It's ideal to have a car, but the bus stop is conveniently along the road and the service is regular, reliable and inexpensive. 
The Reception is sophisticated and the style throughout is light and breezy. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, recently decorated with new carpets, blinds and seaside wall canvases. The bathrooms are maybe a bit 'retro', but fully functional and add to the authenticity - along with the good quality 80's pine furniture (of which I've become very fond!) The showers are reliable and easy to operate with tonnes of hot water and luxury spa quality toiletries together with the soft towels.
We advise a balcony room if new to the island, but we prefer to face St Ouens Bay as this is an unique opportunity, unless you wish to pay Atlantic Hotel prices.  The rooms we have experienced have all been quiet even on the road side.
Breakfast includes cereals, warm pastries, fruit and a full English breakfast freshly cooked to order. I'm vegan and am adequately catered for without having to request. My husband says the sausages are of good quality.
The Hotel is well staffed, and professional and friendly attention is always promptly available, especially from Ingrid who's quiet mission is to ensure all guests are contented. Romy and Amber are exemplary- worthy of the most prestigious establishment, as is Harriet the Reception Manager.
Even if you arrive early in the morning you're still made to feel welcome being offered complimentary continental breakfast, and assured your room will be ready as soon as possible.
Housekeeping is swift and efficient, but if you happen to meet Olga, she's just the sweetest and most obliging lady. 
David the owner even offers a complimentary guided mini bus orientation of the island!

Ideal hotel in stunning location

After searching for a suitable hotel that could accommodate my elderly parents who have some mobility problems we opted for the Highlands and we were not disappointed.
We could have booked an accessible room on the ground floor but opted for a room on the first floor with magnificent views of the coast line and with no steps to negotiate to get to the room this was the perfect choice.
But what really made the stay at this hotel even better were the fantastic staff who were obviously very happy to be working at the highlands, they were so attentive and nothing was to much bother for them always sharing a laugh and a joke with my parents to the point where my parents want to visit again next year.
Breakfast was good with plenty to eat and an ok choice, evening meal was also good although not the biggest of menus it was fine for my parents.
Be aware that the hotel is a little remote and transport is a must if you need to get anywhere although the bus stop is just across the road,but that said I would personally stay at this location than in town.

Amazing staff

Of course, you shouldn't compare a three-storey house to a five-star one. And there are certainly some points to criticize at Highlands Hotel: the shower has too little pressure, and yet it floods half the bathroom. Breakfast is not exactly rich, and dinner is fine, but it didn't earn a Michelin star. But as I said, this is a three-storey house with three-storey prices. And for that, there's something to be offered: a clean, cozy hotel in a fantastic location with a stone bay overlook, a large terrace with pool, loft and garden facilities, and, after all, absolute rest outside the views of the W. But what's important about Hammerhead is that it's a three-storey house with three-storey prices. And for that, it's a very clean, comfortable hotel with a fantastic view of a stone bay, a large terrace with a pool, and a full-space garden, and after all the views of the W. But what's important is that it's a very intimate and intimate experience, so you'll find it

Fantastic location

We are staying here for a few days and as for many others the choice of the hotel has focused on the hotel because its location is ideal for us, dominates the sea from the top of the cliffs and the lighthouse of the Corbière (to visit), the landscapes are beautiful and changing depending on the time of day or time, its quality/price ratio. The rooms are spacious clean and well equipped with views of the garden and sea. The staff (with some French-language meals) are very professional listening and the top service... You can have lunch at noon outside on the tables that dominate the sea with only noises: the waves or the sack resembling sound at the bottom... We can have a glass of English dining room! The dining room is not clear but it's equipped with a nice view of the sea.

Highlands Hotel to recommend!!

A great view and very well suited for walks on the coast and walks or a road trip on the abandoned railway track. There is a connection to the bus system.

It's a beautiful place.

It's the first time we've been to this establishment. Its geographical location is top (sea view, quiet...) The rooms are not soundproofed at all. On our first night, we were subjected to ventilation noises all night long. We asked ourselves to change hotel. We were transferred to another room that agreed with us on the ground floor. We were awakened by the neighbors from the top because the soundproofing was low. Last night was a nightmare. Our upper room was so intense. His bloating was so intense (from 11pm to 7am) that one could think he was sleeping with us. I think he was sleeping well. The little English lunch was not too good for us to eat. All the days we had to clean him. I think we should have enjoyed the breakfast. The neighbors were not eating the same things.
