Really well run hotel, wonderful location, very helpful staff, spotlessly clean, great food, what more could you want? Restaurant staff always pleasant and nothing too much trouble, very good menu offerings and reasonably priced wines. Good sized car park always a bonus on Jersey. Will return next year if possible.

A Real Gem

Lovely hotel  and all of the staff welcoming and friendly.we had sea view room at the top, it was superb watching the tide come right up to the sea wall then recede a good way out. Food was excellent and plenty of it. (except kippers, boil in bag was a let down) ideal location with bus stop right outside front of hotel.

Lovely hotel, ideal location

We enjoyed 4 nights here with a sea view room. We were met at the door when we arrived and shown to our room . 
Room is a little dated but it was spotlessly clean and with a beautiful view from the balcony. 
The staff here are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. 
The breakfast was good and served on lovely hot plates. Dinner had a great choice and every meal was excellent ! 
We will definitely go back 

Enjoyable stay 

We stayed here for a week and had a room facing the garden and pool which was spotless. 

The staff are all very friendly, helpful and accommodating and go over and above to make your stay the best. I asked for extra milk for the room and it was no problem. 

We ate there once and it was excellent, again served by the very attentive staff.

The hotel has a bus stop right outside so is great for exploring the island. We bought a weekly pass for £35 with unlimited travel, as the standard charges are £2.25 per journey if paying by card or £2.70 cash.

Great Family run Hotel

From the moment we walked through the door at the Pontac we had first class service. The lady on reception checked us in and asked if we would like dinner in the restaurant. She then showed us to the room. This was a beautiful room on the ground floor opposite the beach with a balcony with table and chairs. The room was cleaned every day. Drinks and towels replaced every day. We had dinner in the hotel twice. 5 course meal with lots to choose from. The menu changed every day. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. The Pontac is a 3 Star hotel with 5 star service. The waiter and waitresses were really friendly and we got to know them well throughout the week. The 4 of them could not do enough for us. As we are leaving before breakfast to catch the ferry a breakfast tray is being provided. The Pinto family should be very proud of their hotel. 



What a Gem

Dinner with friends. An excellent meal and friendly helpful service. This is a family run establishment, not a glossy upmarket place. The ambiance is comfortable and homely and the food is nice. Not only is there plentiful parking it is also right on a major bus route!

3 star Hotel with 4 star service

Enjoyed our stay here. Room with a beach view and despite being on a main road was quiet. Nice balcony.
Staff all very friendly and hotel clean. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choices.
Had evening meal a couple of times and that also excellent and of several courses for a fixed price.
It is a little outdated but the only fault i had was with the tap fed shower - temperature fluctuates somewhat! A power shower that is walk-in would be a nice renovation.
Small gardens and swimming pool and a spacious car park. Complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries refreshed continually.
Whilst there we learnt that it is to close and be turned into housing. A shame as we would undoubtedly have visited again.

Very enjoyable stay

We got engaged in jersey over 30 years ago and decided to celebrate our 26 wedding anniversary over here. We booked through jersey travel which was very easy. The hotel is a little gem. It is directly opposite a lovely beach with stunning views. From check in to check out the service was second to none. Each and every member of staff is a credit to the owners. The food is fantastic ( I am a quality chef) therefore this is a great compliment. We had a wonderful five days and will definitely return. We will not leave it so long next time. I would definitely recommend for couples and families as this was a mixture of people and all made very welcome. The car park was spacious and very safe. Jersey is beautiful island and this hotel is the perfect place to explore.

Wedding anniversary celebration

Went here on  Tennerfest deal which offered a good choice. Staff were good, attentive and had good Covid protection. Food was OK but some combinations a bit different to what you might expect. Dining room and bar facilities were OK and clean. 
A bit out of town so taxi facilities not as good as if closer to St Helier
