The Chy An Gwedhen Bed & Breakfast was beyond our expectations. Pete and Heidi have have created a warm and inviting guest house that made our trip to St Ives very special. The breakfasts were fantastic, with a wide selection beautifully prepared choices. Many thanks to both you!

Excellent guest house in St. Ives

Fantastic B&B ! Pete and Heidi were the perfect hosts. Room was spotless with a great sea view. Superb breakfasts with good banter. Easy access to town centre either by road or coastal path. On a regular bus route. Good food at local pub just down the road. Thank you both for making us so welcome.

Definitely one to revisit.

A wonderful birthday break at St Ives and Pete & Heidi aka Basil & Cybele you didn't dissapoint, situated in a prime location for coastal walks.
Pete & Heidi were very helpful with any questions we asked.
THE room was very pritty with a slight view of the sea.
Breakfast was 10/10 well done team 👏
And the football banta at breakfast with other guest was so funny.
Would definatly recommend family & friends to stay here.

A bithday treat that didn't disappoint 

Beautiful room and fantastic breakfast. Heidi and Pete make you feel at home! Free parking and communal area for all guests to use. Short walk to St. Ives and a big Tesco, and very handy location for exploring South West Cornwall

Amazing stay. Pete and Heidi are brilliant hosts and make the stay. Rooms are clean bright, with comfortable beds and good facilities. Love the honesty fridge 🍷😊 and best of all Pete does a great sausage!!

Two night stay

A fabulous place to stay, very warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was excellent, so many choices.  Very well appointed room and bathroom, really comfortable bed.  Well situated with beautiful sea view from our room, easy walking distance into St Ives.  Would thoroughly recommend and we will visit again.

Just the place for a relaxing break, excellent.

Booked for 4 days with my wife mini break first in 4 years. From start to finish pete and hiedi  made our trip an absolute pleasure nothing too much for this family . breakfast cooked to order ready when you come out in morning. Position  of this bed and breakfast  is the best, on bus route 5 mins to centre of St ives,half hour walk on coastal  path,which takes you to porthminster  beach one way or Carbis Bay the other. The accommodation  was clean and modern plenty of coffees  in room, the bed is very comfy and I am 23 stone and it was fine for me  if you want, seating  in back garden or front  garden lovely view of the sea and beaches in the distance looking forward when we can get back and do it all again thank you from David and mandy

Had to write a review to let others know what a great B&B to chose if planning a trip to st ives - great location between st ives and carbis bay with amenities all close by. But most importantly, really comfy bed, outstanding breakfasts and to top the list Pete & Heidi are the most welcoming and helpful hosts  you can ask for. Thank you both for making our stay so memorable 😁

Great B&B

Thanks to Pete and Heidi for being such fantastic hosts. We are returning guests and this place is really excellent value. It’s in a perfect position for access into st Ives but has parking which is a must. The rooms are all spacious and super clean. The breakfasts are superb, much better than other more expensive places we have stayed. We would highly recommend this B&B, it offers all you need for a short break. Once again, thanks to you both. We will be back later this year.

Simply the best

We were in room 4 sea view and what a view, room was clean, fresh, and had everything you would need for a wonderful stay. Tea, coffee, hot, chocolate  herbal teas, good toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, good choice, very attentive hosts. Parking a little tight but there's parking which is a bonus for a B&B. Short walk to the coastal path, at the path turn left for  St Ives or right for Carbis bay nearly equal distance I would say, but whichever direction taken its a pleasure.
