Booked thru Expedia where this was "confirmed, no need to confirm" Got there at check in time...middle of nowhere. Not a sole on the site. Phone number given thru Expedia went to a voice mail, no answer. Number taped to the door  finally answered, wanted to know when we reserved, said as we booked in the off season, they probably never got it. Checked their booking for the day, and as they couldn't find anything and it was off season, decided not to open. Called the Anchor Inn a few miles away who were glad to book us. Utter fail by both the hotel and Expedia. If you really want to stay here, confirm yourself. Other trip sites show this was not a one off.

I booked in good time for New Yeae, but today got a phone call telling me that my booking was cancelled as they were undergoing repairs.  More likely they had overbooked and I was chucked out.  As this has happened to other people [see reviews] I suggest you beware of this place and look elsewhere.

Have meet friends here in the past and it would have been a fine venue if the bookings had been honoured.

Booking cancelled spoiling our New Year plans

Nine cyclists of a certain age stayed on 18th August. Arlene ,Brian and their daughters were excellent hosts. Food , accommodation and hospitality were first rate. 
The juke box, pool table and bar were a real plus.
We highly recommend this absolute gem of a place.

Fabulous stay

This was an overnight going and coming back from a few days on our motor bike in the highlands as from Harlow in Essex this was about half way. What a lovely place to stay, the owners Arlene and Brian also not forgetting Stroller the dog where just great the rooms are brilliant and the breakfast is the best, this was one of the best places that we have spent a night and would recommend The Hadrian Lodge whether overnighting or needing somewhere to stay in that part of the world

over nite stay to and from the Highlands

This was meant to just be a room for the night after an internet search for a hotel that could accommodate two adults and three children on their way home from Center Parcs to Scotland. 

As an aside, it's a nightmare trying to find any hotel that can fit a young family of five into one room. It's always a pain having to split over two rooms when the kids are so young. 

In any case Hadrian Lodge could accommodate us in one room for our overnight. 

The location is stunning and surrounded by fields and lovely views. On arrival we found gypsy ponies roaming outside in the fields along with muscovy ducks and the friendliest black Labrador you have ever met in your life. We miss you already Stroller! 

The couple who run Hadrian Lodge were so friendly and welcoming and we instantly loved the place.

The room was huge and spacious and we all slept like logs. It had a lovely big en suite and amazing views over the fields.

There was free wifi throughout and breakfast was a superb choice of cereal, toast, fresh fruit and cooked fayre. I opted for the full Northumberland Breakfast and wasn't disappointed. We all are heartily. 

As I say this was supposed to be a quick over night but I think we have found a gem here. Highly recommended and worth every penny. 

Overnight stay turns into hidden gem

Fantastic b&b a few miles from the Adriatic valley. Nestled in a hilly area, it is ideal for those who want to relax in the most complete silence. The rooms are very clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The wide windows make the environment very bright and allow you to see the many animals that surround the b&b. Very good breakfast! Congratulations above all for the hospitality, although we only stayed one night we really felt at home!

I know lovely

I stayed for two nights at this hotel in the green of the British countryside with my family (4 people). We were absolutely satisfied with the choice. The rooms are quite spacious but nothing is missing. The kitchen is absolutely excellent, especially for being typical English.

Family environment. Great cuisine.

A place for true nature lovers just a few steps from the Adriatic Valley. Surrounded by fields and flocks of sheep, it is a simple but welcoming guest house. Our room was very spacious and with heating on. Breakfast was a surprise: the proprietor brought us some delicious chocolate brioches! More fruit and sandwiches!

Ideal for a visit to the valley!

It's very handy, simple, run by a nice couple: she's at the reception and he's in the kitchen. Good food, comfortable and spacious rooms, suitable even for families with children (it's not unusual to find rooms with five beds!), nice and relaxed atmosphere.
