Beautiful setting with wonderful scenery.  The barn had plenty of room and lots of bathrooms! (Loved the wet room showers).  Very comfortable and loads of space for us.  Fantastic to sit outside and watch the sunset.  We particularly loved seeing the horses and the dogs were so friendly and fun.  We have a very lovely stay.  Can highly recommend.

Exceeded our expectations

Had a very nice overnight stay having attended a wedding at a local resort.
I have to say that the location in Hilderstone is quiet but really nice.
The owner was very friendly and accommodating and very kindly change the booking for my parents to a ground floor cottage at short notice which was very much appreciated. Our room was cosy and very reasonable for the price. 
We had a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, cereal and full English which was fantastic and predominantly local produce (extra £5 charge)
Great value, nice location, friendly owners.
Thanks for taking great of my family and I will recommend you to anyone who needs to stay over your way!

Great value, peaceful location!

I stayed in the barn with some friends after visiting Alton Towers for a day. It is in a great location that is quiet and peaceful.

 When we arrived, we had a code to access the key lock where the keys were so we could arrive at any time.

We had a choice of 4 beds and a pull out bed from the sofa as well as three different shower areas which was ideal after a day at the theme park! The bed was super comfy and the bedding was nice and clean.

We drove about 10 minutes away to get a Domino's but they would have delivered. We also had to go to the supermarket to get some milk to go with the breakfast we were given.

There is also a resident cat who we found out via the guest book was called Poppy.

Great location for Alton Towers 

Because of the £100 overnight cost we were shocked at the cramped comditions and very basic amenities. We ate the breakfast which we prepared ourselves sitting on the bed.  The furnishings are cramped, old and rather like student accommodation.

If it hadn’t cost so much I would not have been so bothered about the basic accommodation provision.

I stayed at Highfields whilst on business in Stone and it proved to be the perfect choice for accommodation, set in beautiful countryside. The room was clean and well presented and the availability of a well equipped kitchen saved me a fortune allowing me to cook for myself rather than depending on local pubs and restaurants.

Jennifer was a fantastic host, flexible on my time of arrival and providing a lovely breakfast each morning. 

I would thoroughly recommend Highfields to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or pleasure.

Perfect B&B

We stayed here for the second time for our annual visit to the classic mechanics motorcycle show.  Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Rooms large and comfortable. Especially like the touch of a kitchen/lounge area where you can make yourselves a meal if you like or just a coffee and chat with other people staying.  Fantastic breakfast and our hosts couldn't be more helpful. One tip -speak to your host about eating out especially on a weekend as you would probably need to book.  Have to say best B and B I've stayed in

Fabulous place

Was informed the day before arriving that the host would be late as he was watching his wife in a gymkhana. Next day the room was not made up as the lady of the house forgot. The sink in the toilet was minuscule and the shower was in the kitchen!!! Everything is courtesy of IKEA. The cooked breakfast that they charged £8 for was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Don’t stay there unless you don’t care but only want lovely views.

Our rooms were in the smaller stable, but the name does not describe the building with three bedrooms, two on the ground floor, each with en-suite facilities inc an essentially wet room shower.  This stable having a shared lobby and kitchen facility - stocked ready.
The Only issue was roadside signage, there is some but quite small.

We’ll keep this on our list to revisit!

A very special location, plus great bedrooms and full continental breakfast!

We spent a very comfortable two nights at this excellent accommodation. Jennifer was a very welcoming and supportive host. My husband who is disabled and has mobility problems found the Marigold room and en suite shower was manageable and appreciated the advice Jennifer offered us prior to our booking. We were grateful for the kitchen and dining facilities which enabled us to prepare supper at end of day rather than having to go out. Beautiful peaceful setting. Lovely communal breakfast in farmhouse.

Excellent 2 day break

We had booked a one nights stay in this B&B at the end of a road trip to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately the morning before we were due to book in my husband woke up his whole face was swollen and numb, we thought that the best thing to do was drive straight home.

I phoned the B&B about 8.30 in the morning, explained the situation, and was told that if I emailed them then I could get my £40 deposit back. Well I emailed them, did not hear a word from them, my husband who thank God is feeling a lot better today just phoned to be told that their cancellation policy is 48 hours.

So if you book here make sure you cancel 48 hours before, or if you are going to be ill make sure you do so 48 hours before.

We quite understand that you have T&Cs we were in business ourselves for near near on 40 years, only The 10 Commandments were written in stone, sometimes you have to bend the rules a little, and see the bigger picture.

This has left a bad taste in our mouths, not so much for the £40, but the fact that there was no customer relations, for now and possible future bookings.
