We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the accommodation is well equipped,  warm and comfortable. Everything you need is in the room, water, tea and coffee, toiletries, and even a hairdryer. We had a standard double, the room was quite small but adequate and nicely done, all felt fairly new and modern. We ate in the resteraunt for both breakfast and evening meals which we really enjoyed, staff are very friendly and the food is excellent . The restaurant is a lovely welcoming space and has a nice feel. Outside seems like it would be lovely to sit out in the warmer months with the river running alongside it. We will definitely be returning.

We had the BEST time and Egypt mill. They are so dog friendly! The staff were amazing and made us feel right at home, a special shout out to Holly who was the best! We would recommend this place to everyone.

Best stay!

This is a really picturesque hotel that has plenty of ambience and natural charm.
I booked 2 rooms mid January, really spacious bedrooms with a comfortable bed, generally clean and tidy, decent restaurant lower floor.
I am no Alex polizzi but what was a good room was somewhat let down by a poorly looked after bathroom, black mould on the blind, toilet roll holder broken, toilet seat not able to stay up, light on the mirror not working and a fair amount of hair on the bathroom floor on arrival, maybe trivial, but ultimately smacked of a little more TLC required.

Attention to detail

We stayed in the annexe building next to the mill in a very large double bedroom. The room is very cosy despite its size, the hotel is beautifully and tastefully furnished, it retains its period features and is full of character.

Our room had a large double bed, very comfy and we both had an excellent nights sleep. Egypt Mill is always clean and spotless, my only wish would be to have more tea/coffee sachets in the room.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, there's a reasonable choice on the menu if you elect to eat in the restaurant, the food there is good and we've go just for a meal.

Overall I'd recommend Egypt Mill as somewhere to stay in Gloucestershire, its a characterful place thats lost non of its charm and the staff and welcome are warm and friendly.

One night in a cosy old Mill

Wonderful old water mill full of charm. Lots of old photos and mill machinery. Great rooms in great location. Good walking all around. Food and service were superb with staff that could not be more helpful.

Lovely setting and  location. Staff, service and food excellent and very comfortable rooms with easy and plentiful  parking. Restaurant was really nice and menu varied and appetising. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location and great hotel in all respects.

Stunning hotel and grounds. Have gone through a big reconstruction/renovation, the external building with rooms 20 to 28 was beautiful. Large room with huge bed, modern with original character. Big bath and shower. We stayed in room 27 and it was fantastic with beautiful view. The rooms in the building next to the restaurant are still quite dated in their original forms, so smaller with smaller TVs but comfortable none the less. 
The bar area and restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food was really nice, ate both nights and had great service, we also had breakfast which was a touch slow but food was delicious. The bar area is warm and nice to sit in. Upstairs function room has been renovated recently and looks stunning, a wedding would be so nice here. 

Family weekend away

Having got married here EM will always hold a special place in our hearts. Came back to stay for the weekend. Fabulous to see the place looking so well. Warm, inviting and cozy. Wonderful staff, wonderful food, wonderful room.

Good size room with a very comfortable bed. The lighting in the room was good and there was more than sufficient storage space. Small TV, though.
Bathroom ok with a good shower, but the hot tap on the washbasin was so loose I thought it was going to fall off! Because of this, the tap could not be fully turned off, hence wasting water. Upon arrival the Reception desk couldn't find my booking. Took fully five minutes to resolve and only after I had to show 3 emails from the hotel confirming hotel reservation and arrival time. It was blamed on "the system". Surely a human should control "the system" not vice versa!
 

A reasonable stay in a lovely area

We stayed here for one night on the winter wonderland deal. Everything completely exceeded our expectations. The rooms were amazing, really clean and spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Our meal was excellent as was our breakfast the next day. All the staff were really friendly and efficient. All in all we had a fabulous time and cannot wait to come back again soon 🤩🤩.
