This felt like an upmarket B&B in many ways. The views out over the esplanade were amazing and due to the inclement weather, we spent a few hours writing our Christmas cards with a glass or two of wine. The room itself was well appointed but on the small side with an equally small bathroom. Having said that the service and friendliness of the staff was par excellent and the food was absolutely fine. We had dinner one night and ate out on the second night. The breakfasts were superb with a great choice and plenty of it.

Booked for my mum and auntie for her birthday. Staff were happy and friendly. Lovely tea, cakes and sandwiches.

We had 5 wonderful days at the Giltar Hotel. We treated ourselves to a Deluxe room and it was worth every penny.  The view from our window was spectacular and having a sunny few days made it perfect.  The breakfasts were very good and the evening meals were lovely and the deserts were superbly presented. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have had a better time.  Thank you. 

Wonderful Hotel

The Giltar Hotel was fabulous I had a sea view room with stunning views. The room was spotless and contemporary with tea/ coffee making and flat screen tv and hair dryer. The bed was super comfortable with great quality white bed linen. The breakfast  was served superb with good quality ingredients, staff were helpful and attentive. The tables had immaculate white cloths. 
Well done The Giltar we were delighted with our stay there and have booked to return. 

Highly recommend The Giltar 

 Stayed at the Giltar for 3 nights in September, great weather. Breakfast was really good. We were in  room 404 ,the  pillows were really bad. The bed needs to be in a different position as when going to the bathroom  during the night ,the light comes on automatically when bathroom door is opened, waking up the other person as the light shines straight onto the bed. I know there is not much room to move the bedroom around but I am sure it could be done. We would stay there again but book a deluxe room.

We booked this as a family New Years Eve celebration and you didn’t let us down, excellent food, entertainment, service and the whole experience.  We would have no hesitation in recommending the Giltar to family and friends, thank you once again

Fantastic New Years Evening 2022, we enjoy everything from start to finish.

One night at this hotel.  Very old fashioned and tired looking.  Soon as you walk in you notice the 3 Food Hygiene rating which already puts you off. We had the sea view room with in room bath tub, we opened the door to a half drank coffee mug left by cleaners, tea stains on the wall by the bins and I knelt on seat to look out of the window and it was wet.  Modern bathroom was nice. Wanted to call reception to ask a question , telephone didn’t work.  Breakfast was average but the staff are lovely.  Location and view was great, Tenby was lovely but would I return for the price ?  No

We stayed in the hotel booked a premiure  sea view  was so disappointed  it was my husband  birthday  we have a disable  son so we had a sitter so we booked the room just to get away on our own so we entered our room disappointed  so small bed felt damp as they hadn't put the heating on well one electric radiator  we asked for extra heater as we were cold which they did provide really small bed as for sea view we had to wipe all the windows to see out as full of condensation  tv dident  work but they did change it complained to reception  about the room was told they would speak to the owner but  we had no response  from them what a disappointing  weekend the room cost us 260.00 ponds for 2 nights really not worth the money at all  what a shame as the staff was lovely  and the breakfast

Just returned from a 3 day short break . Our first visit to Tenby very much enjoyed.Lovely hotel right on the sea front. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and well presented room. Close to all amenities. Would definitely recommend

Lovely hotel

Our room was a standard one which had been created by dividing a larger room with a very thin dividing wall.  It was very compact.  When next door turned on the TV or made a phone call we became reluctant participants.  The carpet was grubby and stained.  The vynil. in the bathroom was badly scuffed and coming apart.  The sink was chipped and worn.  There was something very nasty growing along the side of the bath.  The TV flopped down on its bracket and was unwatchable.  We were given no choice but to eat our dinner at the appointed time of 6.15 and we found that if we were late then our meal would be plonked on the table before we even arrived.
