Having booked just 10 days before arrival to attend uncles funeral.This would have been my 3rd visit.Booked two nights £280 paid £200 deposit.Day before arrival I was. rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack.Phoned Jane explained my circumstances why I had to cancel as I was in hospital where I stayed for 12 days.Asked her if I could transfer my deposit to a later date . Jane said no and that I still owed her £80 for the late cancellation.As I only booked and paid my deposit one week before going thought this very unfair. No empathy whatsoever. As this would have been my third visit I was very disappointed with Janes attitude towards me after explaining I had had a heart attack did not plan that honestly.

Late cancellation ???

We stayed for three nights here and were very happy with our choice. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, top quality bacon and freshly cooked. Very friendly, helpful host. Very good value for money. 
Location very convenient for  Anglesey and to reach out friends nearby.

A great place to stay

Stayed five nights in double annexe.  Generous size room, extremely comfortable bed, power shower - everything we needed was provided.  Ruth and Mark were lovely hosts and served a good breakfast with plenty of choice on the menu.  Ty Mawr is situated close to both mountains and coast (the tip of Mt Snowdon can be seen from the garden).  Will we return - of course we will!

I stayed to Ruth's for two nights. I booked it very last minute over the phone but Ruth gave all the information that I need it for my room, the parking, how to find them and how to pay. 
On my arrival I found a clean and warm room and the most warm welcome. We even chatted about the weeding that I had next day. The breakfast was incredible and include variety of cereal and juice, full English breakfast, toast, marmalade and coffee or tea. Ruth and her husband were very friendly that we even chat about the area, the weather and the wedding that I was a guest. I felt that I had a two nights stay at my grandparents house. Thank you both for a lovely experience. See you hopefully again! 

I felt I stayed to my grandparents home. 

Ruth and her lovely dog Amber were there to greet us. Lovely comfortable  clean bright room. Bathroom a bit cold but clean and tidy. Easy access from car.. Lovely comfortable bed with warm light duvet.  Very good breakfast. Both Ruth and Mark and friendly and helpful. We will  book again.

Gross Groeslon - Terror at the Ty Mawr Tearooms

From the churlish male welcome to the black mould, damp, faulty water system and lack of heating, there really isn't anything positive to say about the stay here. In all my extensive international travelling I have never encountered such poor quality accommodation and lack of customer service. 
Chose not to eat breakfast due to the slovenly arrogant attitude of the male. Also upon returning from one of our days out our window had been left wide open, with all our possessions inside, next to a busy road. 
We can therefore only assume that any positive reviews are reflective of the accommodation in the main building, and not the chalet type rooms in which we stayed. 
Payment was made by us for the room as we felt genuinely sympathetic for the female owner of this business who obviously requires both staff and training in people skills.

Great 3 night break and so central for travelling about sightseeing.  Very comfortable and spacious room with everything you need.  Ruth was very accommodating at breakfast and made fresh to order.  Would definitely come back if was in the area

Fabulous Stay

Only stayed for one night but had a lovely welcome. Even under the current restrictions the owner made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Lovely ensuite with piping hot water and soft, clean towels.

Lovely short break

We were looking for somewhere to stay briefly to access Snowdon after travelling from Scotland and the location of this B&B was perfect.  The room we had booked was dbl with en-suite and is in a separate building which is great for a b&b as you then don’t feel like your are intruding on a family home.  We had a comfortable 9 hour stay, arriving at 9pm and leaving at 6am.  The lady who checked us in was lovely.  The room did lack a little care to detail, cobwebs on the ceiling  and dead bugs on the curtains but you are in the country and we were happy to put our head down on the comfy clean bed.  No toiletries are provided, in fact the liquid handsoap was near finished.  Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, but a biscuit would be welcomed.  We informed the lady we would be leaving early and would miss breakfast and there was no offer of any small simple packed lunch? So I kind of feel cheated somewhat.  Given the location lots of walkers must stay and leave early so this must happen a lot.  Granted we didn’t ask for one but it could have been offered.  There is a tearoom attached to this remote property so again would have been possible given their stock etc.  There are no eateries or shops within walking distance of the property but Bangor is a 10min drive away so easy to get a takeaway later in the evening as we did - the tearoom closed much earlier than we arrived.  A few little touches would have brought this b&b up to 5 star!  

Short 9 hour overnight stay

Popped in for a quick lunch, the food was very good we both had the fishcakes with salad. I had a good coffee and my wife had pomegranate tea.  The staff were welcoming and it is a really nice tea room.
