Lovely staff and very clean. There was a little hiccup with the room, but this was solved quickly and efficiently. Shout out to Paul (assistant manager) as he was there to help. Breakfast was lovely, great choice and variety. Room comfortable as always.

Great stay and would return again.

Good value for money

All as per the title, we enjoyed a great stay and booked a late checkout. Our bill for a family room with our dog was £115 plus £8 for overnight parking in the Church car park, which didn't have any working lifts! 👎
Overall it was expensive for what it was, but did the job and the staff were wonderful!

Great location, Clean, Basic, Dog friendly, lovely staff

The room was quite spacious neat with a TV inside that keeps you busy.
Some of the staff like Paul and Monica made my stay there lovely and their service was great.

Spacious room and lovely staff

Very basic just the bare minimum in the room, parking is in the multistorey next door don't go in there at night the stairwells are inhabited and very unpleasant. There also appear to be some long term social security residents in the hotel who stand by the entrance smoking making it feel very intimidating. Breakfast is good and the shower worked well.

Basic use if its the last option

Very unsatisfied with my recent stay at the Travel Lodge in Watford Central. Poor customer service skills from staff that were on shift, failed to deal with numerous issues that were going on during our stay which included being unable to accommodate the needs of my pregnant sister in law, brother and family. The first room that they were given smelt of stale water which was communicated with a female staff member to which she replied that she would ‘spray the room’ and that’s all she could do. When my brother asked to move rooms they were very hesitant and eventually when moving to another room, this room was of a poor standard as-well which was near to a boiler room, sending vibrations through the room and best described as being on a ferry. Due to this, my brother and his family had no sleep and woke up in the early hours and left. We told staff of the numerous complaints that we had and the only reply that we received was ‘here is the email for customer services’ with no apology given. 



Watford Central - would not recommend.

The much vaunted front of house let this place down badly.
The issues were not resolved 
Customer service was on departure fine but the issues remained
Not a place I would stay at again you have many others to choose from.


A Bit poor

Good value for money. The service was excellent the staff couldn’t do enough to make my stay enjoyable. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and the lady working in kitchen was very polite. She’s a real credit to the hotel . Would recommend 

Top notch hotel

Travelled down for funeral at the local church and found this hotel convenient.  Hotel right in the centre  with lots of restaurants on doorstep and train station 10 minute walk. Hotel basic but clean, great shower and very comfortable bed for a good night sleep after an emotional day.

We were amazed by the friendliness of all the staff, any request made  was no trouble at all!Monika was very helpful and we felt so welcome! The rooms were clean and big enough for us. Especially the dinner was a big plus!The location was also great . We just came home and already recommended this hotel to our friends and family!
