Stayed here for one night as was attending a wedding at a nearby venue. 

This was perfect for what we wanted, rooms were clean and modern and I would definitely book again if needed. 

Breakfast wasn’t included in our very reasonable room rate so we paid the next morning for breakfast, which was delicious! 

And it doesn’t take ten minutes to get to your room like a previous review has stated! Yes you have to walk through the bar, but you can also opt for via the balcony! 

Very well priced, and no complaints from me or my friends who also stayed.

Great little find, and very well priced!

It is the location and the staff which makes this a wonderful place to stay and visit. Located right by Panshanger Golf Course, The View has been recently been taken over by Lewis and he along with his team of staff have made this into a must visit place. 

The rooms are simple and clean and located underneath the restaurant and bar, which offers a friendly service and quality food. Perhaps the stunning views are what stands The View out from the rest and will keep you coming back

Does not disappoint

Comfy rooms with a view of the golf course guaranteed.  Very welcoming and friendly staff.  Great breakfast (optional extra at time of booking)and all such good value.  Just a short drive to the centre of Welwyn Garden City. 
Check what events are taking place as the bedrooms are under the bar balcony.  This will not stop me booking again.  A great find.

What a find!!!

Everything about this hotel was absolutely wonderful! My partner and I stayed for one night whilst attending a festival and it was easy to find, the room was clean with comfy beds and everything we needed.

The manager was so helpful (we arrived before check in time but she arranged for us to have our keys early in order to access the hotel part for when we got back later that evening), she also tailor made a gluten free breakfast for me the following morning and was super personable, friendly, attentive and professional. The other staff were equally as helpful and lovely.

The venue itself is stunning, it's called The View for a reason! I highly recommend. 

Amazing!

Was fine to stay for a night.  Price was cheap for the area and room was clean and comfortable.  Menu was a bit limited and breakfast only started at 0900 which is a bit late. Views across the golf course were nice and there was plenty of parking.  Would stay again purely because of the price.

Fine for a night

Was looking for an overnight stop whilst attending a gig in London. Usual suspects either booked or massively overpriced as London Marathon weekend. Search engine brought up this place. A little further out than I usually look for but well worth it. Great room at a great price. Would definitely use again.

A great find.

Having booked an accessible room, I found that access to The View reception was up numerous steep external steps, and had to ask a visitor to send a staff member to me. I was taken directly to my booked room via ground floor short cuts. Access to the restaurant was via a lift; food was tasty if rather delayed. Seating in restaurant and room was acceptably higher than often found; ensuite was very well designed  with usefully placed grab bars. Bottled water and hot choc on drinks tray a pleasant surprise. The room had twin beds; these looked comfortable but with poor mobility I found mine too narrow to manoeuvre into a comfortable sleeping position. Without access to the ground level short cut, my departure from the hotel led me up a slope and unnecessarily long paths to the car park. Careful attention to providing an accessible experience has been spoilt by neglect of a few critical points; the helpfulness of the staff was appreciated immensely but the lasting memory was of  trying to cope with a difficult situation. 

Stairway to Reception

Excellent facilities accommodation and service leading to a glitch free experience. The room size was appropriate for our needs and the heating also without being overbearing. The bar and restaurant area has beautiful panoramic view across the golf course and the Mimram valley. Easy reach from the A1(M), A414 and B1000

Fishing club Agm

It is at least a 10 minute walk to the rooms round the terrace of the bar which is full of tables and chairs so like an obstacle course so would be awful with luggage on a full capacity day!  The blinds are old and broken - no privacy at all so really bad. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean, sadly that's the only good thing I can say about the whole experience. Never again! 

VERY SMALL NO PRIVACY

We live locally and having not been to The View for some months, and hearing it was under new management with a new menu, we decided to give it a try for a light lunch. Ordered the homemade sausage roll with a side of chips and 2 coffees. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, approx 8 to 10 other customers. We waited a very long time for the food to come out and when it eventually appeared it was luke warm and we still had to ask again for our coffees, which we were told had been forgotten! The sausage rolls were OK but rather dry. We will be back to give it another chance as an alternative to Tewinbury Farm but hopefully service will be alot quicker next time and food up to the standard you'd expect from a restaurant owned by Tewinbury Farm.
