Stayed here only for one night ,was good stay,,comfy bed,,good shower ,nice and quiet , and not too far from centre , basically all one would need for visit to Windsor , Barbara was clear with all instructions for easy access ,,,recommended

We stayed two nights at this venue in a very large well maintained room accessed via a key coded lock. It was on a room only basis and included tea/coffee making facilities (as well as having a fridge) which was great for us as it’s very close to the town centre with its bars and restaurants.  Despite it being on the corner of a major road and an access road to the town’s large coach park traffic noise was not particularly noticeable. We would stay here again if visiting Windsor although parking might be an issue. It included a bath which is very unusual these days but a bonus in my opinion.

Great location near centre

I firstly like to commend Barbara for going the extra mile with helping with our booking she is extremely helpful and patient.  On arrival the room is easily accessible by a unique code. Room was immaculately clean and had everything you needed.  Position is ideal for all of local amenities.  Must say I was very impressed with the whole experience. 

Lovely stay in Windsor 

The location of Charles House is excellent as it’s only a 10 minute walk into town. The public car park is also only 1 minute away so really handy as well.
The room was lovely and clean and the bed was super comfortable. Also the fridge was a bonus.
Booking was really easy and it’s nice to be able to come and go as you please with the access codes.
All in all, excellent value for money and we’d definitely stay again.

Excellent location and value for money

Perfect spot and very central. Room spotlessly clean and bed comfortable. Access very easy using personalised codes. Dropped one star due to noisy build in fridge in the room but understand would be needed if self catering - we chose to eat out. Highly recommend.

Perfect spot

Charles House is well located for walking in to town. A nice stroll along the Thames. Room had everything you need including comfortable bed and nice bathroom/shower. A bit of traffic noise but not bothersome. A decent price but factor in car park fees. We paid £45 in all during our 3 day stay. Very reasonable. All in all a good experience and Windsor is spot on and well worth a visit.

Good Room. Loved Windsor

Advantages :Overall well located to walk in to Windsor, room was clean and had everything you need in it , ie Iron , fan , heater , tea making facilities choice of tea , coffee or hot chocolate and a fridge freezer . Nearest car park was only a few minutes walk £14.50 for 24 hours very reasonable.
Disadvantages: It’s just a bed no breakfast hence the fridge freezer but I feel it’s overpriced compared to other actual bed and breakfast places just for a bed , but the worst thing is the fridge it’s so noisy all night , on top of the noisy traffic on the main road , the railway a few minutes away and the awful aeroplanes that fly so low from 5am in the morning. Also the tv remote and fridge in one of the rooms weren’t working properly,admittedly we didn’t give the owner a chance to sort it out , but this should have been checked before we arrived .

Charles House B &B Windsor

We stayed here over the Jubilee celebration Bank Holiday period. Its the second time we've stayed. Doesn't look much from outside, but it's absolutely perfect for a no frills place for a short break. The rooms are decent size, it's clean, a short walk from the centre of Windsor. Parking is available nearby. Don't expect breakfast or a bar, it's simply a place for short breaks. There are plenty of cafés and fine restaurants nearby. We'll  be back. 

Great location, fair price

A very well run guest house with good communication from the owner.  It was very clean with lovely thick towels, an iron and hairdryer were also there for us to use if needed.  The large fridge is a bonus and although it is room only we were provided with crockery and cutlery should we have needed them.  The car parking was seconds away which led to a shortcut into the town which was a 10 minute walk at most. We were there to visit the castle and stay for a meal that night, no taxi needed as it was very near to walk back.  We would use again if in Windsor.

Good location - walking distance to the town and castle

Last week my daughter and I had a short break in Windsor and booked a room each directly with Barbara the owner of Charles House. It was a lovely stay. The rooms were quiet, perfectly located 5 minutes' walk from the town centre. We were attracted by the free cancellation policy, as we booked some while before, and the choice did not disappoint. My daughter stayed in William and I booked the larger Elizabeth, which was a perfect arrangement as we had breakfast together in 'my' room each morning. A full size fridge in each room was super. The beds were really comfortable and towels were thick and fluffy. There was a ton of cupboard space and the price was great for a modest stay in central Windsor. Barbara is a super host and kept in contact up to and during our stay. It was a very safe property and if you're looking for a good value, adults only break, Charles House is a great pick.
