Just spent a love weekend with my family at the 5 bells which is now rented out privately for small party’s it sleeps up to 20 people the bedrooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable.
You cater for yourselves bringing your own food and drink, the kitchen is well equipped and you have two bar areas and for the kids there is table football and air hockey and there is a pool table and the use of a hot tub and sauna (although the sauna wasn’t working) 
For disabled people there is an annexe which  has 2 bedrooms so it caters for everyone 
Would recommend the 5 bells inn to everyone

Family place

We just got back from the Five Bells Inn in Upwell, Norfolk and it was absolutely fantastic. The property was a working pub until Covid but has now been turned into a rentable property by the owners. The pub itself retains a lot of its original character but has been smartened up to appeal to a wide audience. Whether you like pouring your own beers and playing pool, or relaxing in the hot tub next to the fire pit in the private courtyard, this property has something for everyone. With a fully equipped kitchen and ample eating space in the dining room or in various booths and alcoves, your stay can also be a celebration of food. For this we enlisted the help of Purple Plum Catering, who were excellent. They cooked us full English breakfasts and a wonderful 4 course dinner, setting up the table and clearing it all away after. If you're the type who gets itchy feet, there are several good walks along the river to explore, and you're not even that far away from the north Norfolk coast. At the end of an exhausting day fall back into a comfortable bed with soft pillows in one of the nicely appointed en-suite bedrooms, either above pub or in the adjacent annex block. And despite being next to the main road we found the whole property to be very well sound proofed. The owners, Lou and Chris, and the manager Tracey are all very helpful and were able to assist with arrangements both before and during our stay. We will certainly return to the Five Bells Inn as soon as we can.

We stayed here for one night and found the staff very helpful and friendly. 
The room was lovely and clean, bed was comfy. Decent breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to friends. 

Lovely warm welcome

We have just moved to Outwell and we decided to try the 5 Bells. We were met with a very warm welcome and a very clean establishment. We had a meal and the food was served perfect. Will definitely be going again. Maybe our new regular for a drink as well as meal.

1st time there Fantastic meal

Pleasant staff  varied menu, comfortable surroundings, really good food, pretty good prices, large portions. Didnt really need extras.

Nice burger meat
Lasagne could do with a bit more meat otherwise tasty.
Will definitely return

Lunch

Place was amazing to stay lovely room spotlessly clean. Was a pleasure to walk into and fall into bed after a long journey from Scotland. Staff were lovely very helpful and friendly. Breakfast both mornings was lush. Thank you to the ladies as they really could not of been any more friendly & helpful. 
Wil definitely be back highly recommend xx

Birthday treat

Me and my husband spent just the one night here at The 5 Bells,Colin and his staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived,room was lovely and clean and up to date, and very cosy and warm,bed was super comfortable,restaurant was busy and full all night,food was good and great value,as was the breakfast in the morning ,will definatly stay here again

Just the 1 night stay

5 bells inns is a warm and friendly country bed and breakfast. Great warming customer service. Modern rooms and very comfortable at affordable prices. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a country retreat or on business trip. We'll worth a visit. Hope to see you again soon

Great food and outstanding accomidation

Food is absolutely amazing. Huge portion sizes catering for food intolerances was not an issue. Staff were lovely really welcoming. Definitely visit again.  If you are on a boat there is public mooring outside
