This was our first stay at The Yeovil Court Hotel. Good off road parking. Friendly, helpful welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable room and bed. Tasty breakfast. We really couldn’t ask for more. We have stayed in other hotels in Yeovil but would book back at The Yeovil Court next time we visit.

Very pleasant stay

Grim, dilapidated hotel with no restaurant or bar (both closed). Rooms were gross. Cockroach in the bathroom a particular low point. Bed linen stained and bobbly despite having clearly been cleaned. Breakfast disgusting with sausages served raw on the inside.

We booked 2 rooms for 5 nights in order to enjoy some long awaited family get togethers. Ian greeted us ,wonderfully welcoming ! Yes sadly,the chef had badly let them down,but from the quality of our breakfasts,you would never have known it! Good choice,piping hot and always delivered with a smile . Rooms were spotless ,and ours in the annexe were much larger than usual hotel rooms . All the staff are great ,but particular thanks to the lovely Mr and Mrs K  ,  who seemed to be there 24 /7 doing a fantastic job under difficult circumstances.  Nothing was too much trouble,so thank you very much !

Service with a smile

I stayed here for one night (should have been 2)
When I arrived I was told there was no bar or restaurant as there was a problem with the license and the chef had walked out.
I paid for a deluxe room but was given double, the room had stains all down the bedside table, chest of drawers. The toilet roll holder fell off the wall everytime you used it. The bed smelt of vomit.I complained but as they were full there was nothing they could do. They did come and clean again.
We were asked fir what time breakfast, we said 7.30, when we arrived the following morning we were presented with the wrong breakfast 20min later even though pre ordered . I got my order 40min after .
Over all I wouldn’t stay here again, I think it needs some investment (just extra security in the room doors would help). I appreciate it’s difficult to get staff and keep them now. The management were very polite with good customer service.

Post Covid reality

Stayed at the Yeovil Court Hotel over 2 nights for a wedding. On arriving we were greeted by Ian who made us so welcome. Our room was amazing it was spotless the bed was so comfortable. We had a evening meal which was delicious thanks Liam 
The wedding on Saturday was just perfect Ian and the staff went the extra mile. We would like to thank Ian Liam James and Alex for making everyone so welcome. We will never forget the lovely weekend, everyone had a great time. Thank you Ian for everything you did to make the wedding so special.

Wedding

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms had all you need and very clean. Good selection of teas, coffees in room. Restaurant lovely ambience and food delicious.Breakfast good which was choice of cooked night before and then continental selection too. Plenty of parking. Nights sleep was really good as so quiet and bed so comfie.

Overnight Stay

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a family wedding at a nearby venue. Room was very dated but clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was lovely ( We had the vegetarian cooked breakfast) and evening meal was good as well.
Unfortunately when I got home I realised I’d left my phone charger plugged in at the side of the bed so emailed the hotel the next morning and described exactly where I had left it and said I would send a stamped addressed envelope so it could be returned to me.  I got a reply; “I will check with the housekeeper and let you know if they have it”
I didn’t hear anything so I emailed again asking for an update saying there was no reason it wouldn’t have been found but after another week, still hadn’t heard so I emailed again saying that as I hadn’t heard anything from them, I assumed it had been pocketed or binned but I would appreciate a reply out of courtesy- I’m still awaiting a reply.........

Disappointing end to visit

My colleagues and I have stayed here a few times, always made to feel very welcome, the rooms are clean and comfortable, decent food and easy parking. Ian the hotel manager works incredibly hard and goes out of his way to help with any requests, a kind and pleasant chap!

Nice Rooms and Food

Stayed here for a three day leisure trip, good value bed and breakfast. On first impressions the hotel needs some TLC, obviously the lockdowns have taken their toll. 
The garden area was somewhat overgrown, and some of the decoration was tired. 
On the plus side, the staff where friendly, very helpful and apart from the lady serving breakfast, were very cheerful. We had breakfast each morning and ate in the restaurant two evenings, and have to say that the food was excellent, well cooked and well presented, all at reasonable prices. 
The room was clean and beds very comfortable, and given that we were on a main road, very quiet. There is ample parking and the hotel is a short drive from the town centre. Would return here if ever in the area again.

Three day break

We booked a table for 4.  The member of staff who first served us was untrained and had no idea about how to be a waitress, not her fault but obviously no training given at all.   Eventually we got our food, having sat at the table for an hour. When my steak and chips arrived it was almost cold, had to send it back, the food was very average and not overly cheap.   The table was not cleared, so we had to ask the staff to do that and bring the dessert menu, that arrived after about 10 minutes.  After ordering some dessert, we had been waiting for nearly half an hour. I called the waiter over and said that we were leaving if the dessert was not there in 5 minutes.  It arrived and was the best part of the meal.     Not a great dining experience and I would not recommend the place at all.   Have been before was good but under new ownership I believe
