Typical motel, in a hotel area. The facilities are quite abandoned, the furniture needs to be renovated, the fridge half rotated. Large rooms but not very clean, there was a lot of dust everywhere and the bathroom was not impeccable.

Bad experience management was very rude and unprofessional. No where does it state that no visitors allowed. The so called manager yelled at me and my kids. When I returned from taking my kids home he refused to let me stay and when I asked for a refund he also refused. I contacted the BBB about this situation in which was very unpleasant for my kids and myself. I definitely don't recommend staying here no matter what the price is. 

Unprofessional

Manager was very rude. I was visiting my mother who was staying and he came and yelled at her that she couldn't have guests which he didn't say prior to her renting the room. We weren't gonna stay because I have my own place we were just visiting. -10/10

Garbage

Ok I get it. It is a budget hotel. We only stayed one night but the overall experience was very disappointing. Hotel is old and needs serious maintenance. The beds were very uncomfortable. The bathrooms smelled horrible and had stains and cracks all over the place. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Not recommended.

You get what you pay for!

For someone who's asthma is set off at the slightest scent of cigarette smoke; it was not a pleasant thing to experience in the lobby at check in. I did not smell it when i got out of the car but it was overwhelming in the office. Good thing check in did not take long.  Not sure if cops run at night with sirens or not..it was noisy from cops until about 10:00 p.m. Trains went through about 2 or 3 times during the night. Breakfast really an overhaul. Nothing much in regards to options.

Bed was very comfortable.

Rundown and Cigarette Smoke

Moving to Alamogordo for retirement (the place where I’d been/become the proverbial “glimmer in my dad’s eye”) was an adventure ... primarily because I was unsure of my FINAL “landing spot”. Thankfully, the new owners here welcomed me and my beloved companions (cats), and provided all that WE {on my ‘minimal / early-retirement budget} needed...! Wi-Fi worked GREAT for much comparison-shopping and preliminary “footwork”. Wonderful a/c, water pressure, coffee/juice/danish b’fasts ... could not have asked for anything more! Thank-y’all SO much, for blessing the end of my journey, here(!) ~

Central location, budget-friendly, pet-friendly: ‘Perfect!’

I read some bad reviews but our room was actually nice. The price was great and the room was recently remodeled. Breakfast was simple cereal or cinnamon rolls. Juice. Nothing fancy but free and enough to start your morning. Room was clean and fairly roomy 

Great for the price! 

First, a story. This property used to be the Satellite Inn (the old sign is rusting in the swimming pool). In the late 80's I worked for a contractor with business at Holloman AFB. Satellite was my choice for cheap lodging during occasional work trips to Alamogordo. One time I started feeling feverish as I stopped in Carrizozo for gas. By the time I reached the motel I was running a high fever. Delirious, I stayed in the motel room for a day and a half, with only MTV running Genesis' 'Land of Confusion' (the one with the Reagan and Thatcher puppets) video in HEAVY rotation for company.
The property is slightly improved from those days. Barely better cable TV and good internet service would have made my convalescence much more pleasant. If you want to shower off the cold sweats, the water will hit you in the neck unless you stoop. Need some coffee to shape up for work? Try the Starbucks down the street  or bring your own.
The room did have a microwave and an old dorm-sized fridge that kept stuff cold, so for bare-bones lodging with your own low-budget resources, this place will do, but keep your expectations in check, and I hope you don't have to use this place as a sickbed.

Old property, some maintenance and remodels but needs more. Cheap chain property for Alamogordo.

Good value for a reasonable price . small continental breakfast is included in the rate. Coin washer/dryer on site. Helpful, friendly staff. Rooms are being upgraded. Free Wi-Fi. TV, refrigerator and microwave. Trains run nearby, but didn't bother me.    Close to White Sands National Monument and the Sacramento mountains. I'll definitely stay there next time

rented room 166. room was not clean. carpet stains.chair had food and dust. all the metal in the room had hand prints and smudges. Mold in the bathroom, sheets and pillow cases had hair all over. shower was disgusting. fridge needs to be cleaned.only stayed one uncomfortable night. concrete steps are broken and uneven. fall hazard.
Would not stay again. Only booked because every other hotel was full over memorial weekend.
