Lovely accommodations especially when staying in a room with a view.  Facility was clean and comfortable.  Location with a huge plus fr walking Bar Harbor.  Friendly staff, convenient parking and the best apple cider awaiting in the lobby for our return at the end of the day.

We loved our stay. Great amenities. Great atmosphere. Labradoormen! Nest bath products! Kind, friendly and happy staff AND amazing location and views.  We would definitely stay again.

The bed and breakfast option isn’t really ideal. Only in the hotel owned pub, with sometimes a breakfast wait. The food was very good despite waits.

We came the last few days of end of season so it is possible some staff had already departed leaving limited restaurant staff.

The location for this property could hardly be better. The views are amazing. The cruise ships cause some congestion, but also lends to great people watching. 

The rooms are good size and the beds are comfortable. In room bath products are of good quality. The beverage bar on each floor is a very nice touch. 

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. 

Our only disappointment is Paddy’s restaurant. We are not sure the real connection between the two, but it does not represent well for the hotel.

Excellent hotel

This hotel feels like luxury.  Great amenities like free snacks and drinks. The location is great. The bed was comfortable l, and I’m picky about beds. The sweet dogs that live at the hotel and greeted us everyday was definitely one of my favorite things there. The only reason I couldn’t do all 5 stars is my credit card got hacked a month ago so had to get a new credit card. When getting there the lady that helped me was not very friendly about not having the same credit card I made the reservation with. I totally understand she was just following company policy, but I feel it could have been handled a bit more kindly. The rest of the time the staff were incredible. Also, we stayed in room 202. On Friday from 4:30am till 7am a delivery truck was right outside of our window delivering supplies to the hotel. It was so loud getting things in and out of it we could not sleep.  All in all though a great hotel though.

Loved this place! Perfectly located, convenient free parking, spotless, friendly staff, adult-only heated rooftop pool. Paddy’s restaurant downstairs is great with a lot of wonderful breakfast options. We had a harbor view with a great little deck with rocking chairs. Nice little touches with amenities, convenient laundry facilities. This place has it all and we will definitely stay here again anytime we come to Bar Harbor.

Excellent hotel, we will return

Our room was comfortable, the view was great, the parking was included, and the location was convenient -- walking distance to many good restaurants, and a quick drive to Acadia. You really can't ask for much more than that. The only drawback of the West Street Hotel is that it's a little too centrally located . We hadn't anticipated just how busy Bar Harbor gets, even late in the season. In addition to the many tourists staying in town, there were cruise ships coming and going almost daily, with passengers ferried to West Street and buses loading and unloading. All this activity makes the area right around the hotel busy and sometimes noisy. The mandatory resort fee provides access to the lovely Bar Harbor Club a short walk away. When we headed over to check it out, we saw no staff in evidence anywhere and very few guests. We poked around on our own to figure out what was on offer, which included a pool, hot tub, game room, clay tennis courts, well-appointed locker rooms, and a bar, the hours of which were not posted anywhere we could find. At no point on our multiple visits to the club did we encounter any type of security; anyone could have walked in and used the facilities. Even with the resort fee, West Street Hotel is less expensive than other high end hotels in Bar Harbor, so all in all, well worth it.

The perfect lodging. The coffee/tea/water bar on every floor was great.  Nice to have an Irish pub and gift shop attached to hotel.  The desk employees were extremely helpful and kind. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect hotel!

Beautiful, charming, confortable, perfect location, great service…what else to say?
We stayed for four nights and loved very second.

Perfect!

One word -- Convenient .   We booked a room on the 4th floor with a nice view of the harbor.  We spent quite a bit of time sitting on the balcony watching all the activity.  Room was clean with a big shower.  Hotel provides snacks, water, and coffee on each floor.  Parking was free but seems every time we returned to the hotel we parked in the last available spot.  Best of all we were just a short walk from most of our activities and restaurants.

THE place to stay

I travel a lot for work and the West Street Hotel and staff have a special place in my heart. We will definitely go back.  Keith, Nicole and Taylor tended to the special details that make it feel like home - warm fireplace on a cool night, unique things to do we had not thought of, fun lobby conversation.  They genuinely cared about us!
